A Sipsey Street Exclusive: Senator Grassley is on the Project Gunwalker scandal case -- big time.

These came in over the electronic transom this morning. To all you lurking "news media" types -- if this ain't enough to get you covering this scandal, I don't know what will.

The alleged leader of a merry band of Three Percenters

NOTE: Here are the Scribd links for the pdfs:

Letter of 27 January.

Wahoo! Hard to believe, but maybe some heads will roll over this. Hillary's would be fine. It's a start in the right direction.

Then again, they'll throw us a scapegoat and the rest will quietly slide on over to DHS.

Send copies of these two letters to friendly members of the mainstream media - this might be enough to get some coverage...

WIN! I'm still cautious about the outcome of this and the unintended consequences of the investigate, which Mike talked about before.

But you need to understand that ABCNNBCBS and their dead-tree fellow travelers have their hands over their ears and are screaming at the top of their lungs:

"LA LA LA LA LA. I CAN'T HEAR YOU! LA LA LA LA LA!"

And "Law Enforcement" is loading their weapons and getting addresses, for they WILL cover for their criminal brothers.

I'm glad to see congressional acknowledgement of the problem. Sen. Grassley doesn't sound like he has a problem with ATF's unconstitutional mission in general, though. Only when it starts embarrassing Congress by its outrageous tactics being pulled into the sunlight where anyone can see.
But I'll take what I can get.

Mike, This is the best news I’ve seen for quite a while. I especially enjoyed the “chain jerking” letter of 31 January. Maybe this is finally going to get off dead center. The link to this column is going out to everybody I know.

Mike and David...

Whether or not we see the kind of result we would all hope to see, you all have done a magnificent job of holding their feet to the fire.

None of this would ever have seen the light of day without your adroit persistence. All laurels and kudos for a great effort. Keep on keeping on!

That second letter (1/31) from Grassley was quite pointed and strongly worded re: whistle blower patriotism, the protections thereto and ATF footdragging.

Love the "cc: Eric Holder."

Bet that made some socks roll up and down... esp. his!

Not holding my breath, but still....

Sent a message to Senator Grassley through his online contact form:
http://grassley.senate.gov/contact.cfm
thanking him for contacting BATFE regarding the allegations, and asking that he and his staff pursue this diligently since if the allegations are true, serious crimes have been committed in the name of the US government.

What I find interesting, and revealing, is the last paragraph: " ...any formal correspondece should be sent electronically in PDF searchable format ...." This means there are records, and they should be, absent any lawful classification, open to the public. And they are "searchable", and are computer records, meaning that under law these records cannot be redacted or disposed of .... In essence, this means there can be no more "
Clinton can't find the records even though they're on the table" responses.

Mike-Just wrote a post at Red State on this for you. we'll see if they put it up.

Also sent it to www.khou.com in Houston. They did a piece on the straw buy from Carter's Country.

Great work!!!!

Politico.com picked up on the Grassley letters too, but several hours after your post.

Perhaps a broader community is starting to notice something ain't right.

I posted a link to this over on the Blaze article on Bloombergs AZ gunshow sting - with a challenge to the Blaze 'journalists' to do some basic journalistic research.

Let's see how this develops.

First and goal! Keep pushing.

Sessions will have (another) request from me to get on board with this before my head hits my pillow tonight.

Outstanding, Senator Grassley deserves commendation for taking this seriously.

I am severely disappointed with my newly elected senator for ignoring my pleas.

"LA LA LA LA LA. I CAN'T HEAR YOU! LA LA LA LA LA!"

I wish it were that simple but there is manifest intent behind what they do, and do not. The truly troubling thing is that they are open about their activities and no one within government, is or has been interested.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to extrapolate why.

We gun owners: Congress is corrupt! To hell with Congress.

Senator Grassley: Let's get the bastards.

We gun owners: Congress is great! All hail Congress.

What rubes we are.
