Open Letter to the Legislative Tyrants of Connecticut.

An Open Letter to the Legislative Tyrants of Connecticut.
Sent via email.
To the CT State Senators And Representatives who voted Yes on "An Act Concerning Gun Violence Prevention and Children's Safety, also known as Public Law 13-3 or Connecticut Senate Bill No. 1160," 3 April 2013.
And, yes, I said tyrants. You bought it, in the form of the woefully misnamed "Act Concerning Gun Violence Prevention and Children's Safety," you own it, you are certainly -- if you get your way -- going to pay for it like it or not, so you might as well own up to it. Look in the mirror. That's what a tyrant in the 21st Century looks like. Mather Byles, the Massachusetts Loyalist of the Revolutionary period -- our first civil war -- once famously asked, "Which is better - to be ruled by one tyrant three thousand miles away or by three thousand tyrants one mile away?" The Founders themselves were just as suspicious of unrestrained democracy as a means of tyranny. This is why they gave us a republic of limited powers and the rule of law, to limit those who would misuse democracy to create a new tyranny. Yet that is precisely what you've done. Own it.
You know, in Greek mythology Cassandra, the daughter of King Priam and Queen Hecuba of Troy, was given the gift of prophecy. She could see exactly what was going to happen to her endangered city. Yet she was also cursed with the burden of never being believed. The frustration was said to have driven her mad. Never have I come closer to understanding Cassandra's curse than these past months.
Before I sat down to write this letter, recognizing that it is one of the most important and even dangerous letters (to me) I have ever written, I asked my friend Paul to pray for me. He responded thusly:
May God grant you inspiration, diplomacy, empathy, service-fullness, compassion and resourcefulness. May God grant you His calmness, centeredness, clarity, creativity, strength and courage as you craft your letter. Above all, may God help you in maintaining an open heart in all that you project outward and a remembrance of who we all are. We are all His sons and daughters.
Indeed we are all His sons and daughters, and I am grateful for Paul's prayerful reminder to me of Who I serve. However, you may conclude from my opening that I am struggling with that "diplomacy" part because frankly, you people have provoked in me and many of your fellow Connecticut citizens a real Old Testament anger at your felonious arrogance of power combined as it is with an overwhelming ignorance of the people you seek to rule. You have mistaken your fellow citizens for timid collectivist souls such as yourselves and you are very much in error -- and that error may get a whole lot of people killed, and soon. Sheer stupidity and waste of human life always makes me angry, so you will find me a trifle lean on diplomacy in this letter. The occasion calls for plain-speaking and brutal honesty.
It is not that I haven't been trying to warn y'all, like Cassandra, about the danger your conduct has placed us all in. On 20 April of last year, right after you passed your Intolerable Act, I spoke on the steps of your state house and said this:
"An unconstitutional law is void." It has no effect. So says American Jurisprudence, the standard legal text. And that's been upheld by centuries of American law. An unconstitutional law is VOID. Now that is certainly true. But the tricky part is how do we make that point when the local, state and federal executive and legislative branches as well as the courts are in the hands of the domestic enemies of the Constitution. Everyone who is currently trying to take away your right to arms starts out by saying "I support the 2nd Amendment." Let me tell you a home truth that we know down in Alabama -- Barack Obama supports the 2nd Amendment just about as much as Adolf Hitler appreciated Jewish culture, or Joseph Stalin believed in individual liberty. Believe what politicians do, not what they say. Because the lie is the attendant of every evil. . .
Before this year no one thought that other firearms and related items would ever be banned -- but they were, they have been. No one thought that the authorities of your state would pass laws making criminals out of the previously law-abiding -- but they did. If they catch you violating their unconstitutional laws, they will -- when they please -- send armed men to work their will upon you. And people -- innocent of any crime save the one these tyrants created -- will die resisting them.
And later on, I said this:
No one wants a new civil war (except, apparently, the anti-constitutional tyrants who passed these laws and their media toadies who cheer them on) but one is staring us in the face. Let me repeat that, a civil war is staring us in the face. To think otherwise is to whistle past the graveyard of our own history. We must, if we wish to avoid armed conflict, get across this message to the collectivists who have declared their appetites for our liberty, our property and our lives -- WHEN DEMOCRACY TURNS TO TYRANNY, THE ARMED CITIZENRY STILL GETS TO VOTE.
Now just like King George, such people will not care, nor modify their behavior, by what you say, no matter how loudly or in what numbers you say it. They will only pay attention to what you DO. So defy them. Resist their laws. Evade them. Smuggle in what they command you not to have. Only by our ACTS will they be impressed. Then, if they mean to have a civil war, they will at least have been informed of the unintended consequences of their tyrannical actions. Again I say -- Defy. Resist. Evade. Smuggle. If you wish to stay free and to pass down that freedom to your children's children you can do no less than to become the lawbreakers that they have unconstitutionally made of you. Accept that fact. Embrace it. And resolve to be the very best, most successful lawbreakers you can be. (1)
The thing is, apparently someone was listening. As Bob Owens reports: Botched registration leads to confiscation in Connecticut.
Gun owners sat on their butts and refused to register either arms or magazines, all but daring the state to do anything about it. Of the estimated 375,000-400,000 firearms deemed “assault weapons” by the state, more than 325,000 remain undocumented. Only about 50,000 were registered for future confiscation. The requirement to register standard capacity magazines was laughed at even louder by the citizenry; just 38,000 (less than 2 percent) of an estimated 2 million standard capacity magazines holding greater than ten rounds of ammunition were registered with the state. (2)
But Ed Jacovino of the Journal Inquirer reports that those who tried to obey your law and didn't get in under the arbitrary deadline are now going to be punished for their good faith efforts. (3) They are getting letters like this one:
Jacovino reports that the arrogant Mike Lawlor now purports to read minds.
Once people realize they can’t keep the guns and magazines, “they’re going to get rid of them,” Michael P. Lawlor, the undersecretary for criminal justice policy and planning to Gov. Dannel P. Malloy, says.
Madame Lawlor knows all, sees all. (Graphic courtesy of David Codrea.)
Jacovino continues:
And while the state won’t immediately prosecute those who missed the deadline, it isn’t ignoring that information, either.
The rifle and magazine declarations will be included in information given to police responding to a certain address. “This would be a factor in deciding how to respond to different situations,” Lawlor says.
In other words, "we'll send a Connecticut state police SWAT team to your door if you are reporting a home invasion -- not to arrest the perpetrator attacking you and your family but to arrest and, if necessary, kill you."
Jacovino reports that Ron Pinciaro, executive director of the Connecticut Coalition Against Gun Violence, is equally bloody minded.
(Pinciaro) says the administration’s approach of sending a warning letter is suitable. "It’s fair. They’re giving them fair warning that they’re in noncompliance,” he says. Pinciaro adds that he’s glad a new bill wasn’t necessary — lawmakers were considering changes that would have extended the deadline beyond Jan. 4. “Now we’re saying, ‘OK, we gave them eight months, what else can we do for them now?’ That’s not the way any other law works,” he says.
Including, I might add, the ironclad Law of Unintended Consequences, but more of that in a minute.
Now I have communicated with both of these two true believers in citizen disarmament in the recent past. Pinciaro was the recipient of one of my Toys for Totalitarians awards as was your governor (see My letter to Governor Malloy here.) (4)
As for Lawlor, we've had a right brisk exchange of views -- all one way unless you count the major case investigation against me by the Connecticut state police that he's contributing to. I've sent him no less than four open letters since he began threatening Connecticut firearm owners on your behalf (see here, here, here and here.) (5) (6) (7) (8) I have even sent a request for his KGB file to the Russian Embassy here.(9)
That is not to say that the building crisis over your Intolerable Act has not yet claimed some "victims," of a sort, from your own ranks. I noted with interest this story from the Courant: "Senate Leader Not Seeking Reelection." (10)
The departure of Williams comes at a time of major change in leadership at the state Capitol. Senate Republican leader John McKinney of Fairfield is running for governor and serving in his last year in the Senate. House Republican leader Larry Cafero of Norwalk is widely expected to be in his final year at the Capitol, but he has not yet made any official announcements. Other legislators, including Rep. Livvy Floren of Greenwich, Sen. Gary LeBeau of East Windsor, and Sen. Jason Welch of Bristol, are not seeking reelection.
Rats leaving a sinking ship, no doubt. Not that it will have any effect upon their future prosecution under the Law of Unintended Consequences. Only one thing, which is entirely within your control, might. But more of that in a minute as well.
On your behalf, in order to save yourselves from yourselves, I have even written "An Open Letter to the Men and Women of the Connecticut State Police," telling them that they are NOT the enemy of the firearms owners of your state unless they choose to be.   (11)  A crucial passage from that letter bears quoting to you.
Now let's examine those numbers in the Courant story. You know the size of the Connecticut Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection. Wikipedia tells us that "CSP currently has approximately 1,248 troopers, and is headquartered in Middletown, Connecticut. It is responsible for protecting the Governor of Connecticut, Lieutenant Governor of Connecticut, and their families." There are but 1,212 email addresses listed on the state website to which this email is going, which presumably includes everyone including secretaries, receptionists, file clerks, technicians, etc. Now, how many shooters for raid parties you may find among that one thousand, two hundred and forty eight that Wikipedia cites, or whatever number will be on the payroll when something stupid happens, only you know for sure. I'll let you do the counting. They are daunting odds in any case, and as you will see, they get more daunting as we go down this road that Malloy and Company have arranged for you. (By the way, don't forget to subtract those on the Green Zone protective details, for your political masters will certainly see their survival as your mission number one.) So, how many folks would your superiors be interested in seeing you work their will upon? And of these, how many will fight regardless of cost?
Let's assume that there are 100,000 non-compliant owners of military pattern semi-automatic rifles in your state. I think it is a larger number but 100,000 has a nice round ring to it. Let us then apply the rule of three percent to that number -- not to the entire population of your state, not even to the number of firearm owners, but just to that much smaller demonstrated number of resistors. That leaves you with at least 3,000 men and women who will shoot you if you try to enforce this intolerable act upon them. Of course you will have to come prepared to shoot them. That's a given. They know this. So please understand: THEY. WILL. SHOOT. YOU. (In what they believe is righteous self defense.) Now, if any of them follow Bill Clinton's rules of engagement and utilize the principles of 4th Generation Warfare, after the first shots are fired by your raid parties, they will not be home when you come to call. These people will be targeting, according to the 4GW that many of them learned while serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, the war makers who sent you. This gets back to that "when democracy turns to tyranny, the armed citizenry still gets to vote." One ballot, or bullet, at a time.
As I told the state troopers, this is all hypothetical for now, dependent upon your own appetites for bloodshed in furtherance of your tyrannical will. If you require explanation of Fourth Generation Warfare in an American context, please consult the introduction to my upcoming novel Absolved: "Tyrants beware. 4th Generation Warfare: How the next civil war will be fought." (12)
Of Absolved, I wrote:
I can only hope that readers will take my own “useful dire warning” more seriously. If one does ultimately break out, I will be as guilty of fomenting it as Tom Clancy was guilty of 9/11 -- which is to say not at all. It is precisely what I am trying to avoid. . .
And so it is with this letter. Again, I am trying to avoid bloodshed. The problem is that you "tyrannical morons" (as I called you in my speech last April with less Christian charity than I might have mustered) seem intent, at least from the statements of your creature Mike "KGB" Lawlor and those of Ron Pinciaro (to whom you seem to be dancing to his tune) are intent on working your will upon Connecticut citizens at the muzzle of a state-owned firearm -- a few thousand state-owned firearms to be precise.
Look. You screwed up. You allowed yourselves to be stampeded in the wake of an incident of incomparable evil into attacking precisely the wrong people -- law abiding Connecticut gun owners -- by true believers in citizen disarmament like Lawlor and Pinciaro with their own agenda, state power over the individual. Of course some of you fall into that same category but the rest of you are what most politicians across the country are: well-intentioned people (Lenin called such folks "useful idiots"), responsive to the last constituent phone call you received yet barely literate in your own state's history and the Constitution you took an oath to preserve. This comes at a time when the country is dividing along the lines of the answer to the question, "does the government serve the people, or do the people serve the government?"
We are at a crossroads. You, in the arrogance of your power and your ignorance of the people you seek to dominate are extrapolating from your own cowardice -- you believe that just because the government orders these folks to knuckle under that they will do so BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOU WOULD DO. You mistake them, and your mistake is, in the fullness of time, going to get people killed. And who do you think these people who you victimize -- these people who you will have state agents seek to round up and kill -- who do you think they are going to blame for that? It doesn't take Madame Lawlor and his crystal ball to predict that such people -- victimized by their own state authorities in an unconstitutional law that likely will be found to be null and void anyway -- will blame the people who sent the killers. Which is to say, you. (13)
This is deadly serious stuff, this foray into an undiscovered country that you have so blithely entered upon, like blind men and women tap dancing in a minefield you scarcely comprehend. Fully eighty-five percent of the people you targeted with the law -- the people that YOU AND YOU ALONE made into lawbreakers -- have just told you by their noncompliance to take your unconstitutional law and stick it where the sun don't shine. Does that not tell you ANYTHING? These people are ARMED. They are familiar with the finer points of marksmanship. They are principled in a way that perhaps only the Founders would understand -- at the risk of their own lives. So what part of "Oh, HELL no" don't you understand? You have been playing with titanic forces. You are going to send armed agents of the state to their doors to work your collective and collectivist will upon THEM? You have unintentionally sown the wind and if things go predictably south you will reap the whirlwind.
BUT IT IS WITHIN YOUR POWER TO REVERSE. You own the weather machine, as it were. I'm not asking you to repeal the law, although that makes perfect sense to me. No, I realize that too much of your ego, your own false vision of omnipotence is wrapped up in it to do THAT. What I am asking you to do -- no, what I am BEGGING you to do -- is to use your power to suspend the enforcement of that Intolerable Act at least until it is ruled constitutional or not by the United States Supreme Court. "An unconstitutional law is null and void." Do you really wish to risk death and destruction upon innocent people -- upon us all -- on a bet against the odds? Is your appetite for your own citizens' liberty, property and lives that insatiable? Or now, as the likely unintended consequences of your actions have been directly explained to you, are you willing to reconsider the menu choices? What will your political fortunes be when the first shots are exchanged over this? When the first innocents are killed in carrying out your will? What will your arrogance, your ignorance, your insufferable pride be worth to you then? What will it be worth to any of us? Starting a bloody civil war seems an odd way to avoid "violence against children."
Praying that my advice fares better than Cassandra's, I am, sincerely,

Connecticut is part and parcel of a far larger disarmament agenda.
It is one of a number of carefully orchestrated probing attacks built on false flag and crisis as means events.

Like most collectivists acts of tyranny and social engineering they are designed to serve multiple purposes beyond the apparent face value trespasses upon our liberty and fabric of society.
As the bastards come closer to imposing totalitarianism it is critical to advance the strategy of disarmament with precision testing the possible resistors to tyranny in cunningly crafted catch 22 scenarios where after being turned into a convenient criminal in the eyes of the state, they are forced into the choices of submitting, or they choose to fight back with the very objects the tyrants intent and their diktat is designed to marginalize to begin with.

It is a slippery slope. The unintended consequences indeed lie at a point where somebody decides they have had enough and blood is spilled in copious volumes.

Yet there is even more to this than meets the eye. These clowns running things are hoping the blood does flow, but on their terms at their point in time and choosing in order to gain the greatest political capitol out of it.

They absolutely require a fig leaf of legitimacy to take advantage of "unlawful" violence armed resistance to tyranny gives them when their system of laws conveniently turn whomever they choose into criminals and back them into a corner.

This bullshit law is specifically designed to perpetrate armed bloody response from armed American's in order to justify full blown police state monopoly of violence. To paint and parade those who resist as terrorists, and pogrom all who aren't afraid of the bastards.

The thuggery of the Conn. State Police is legendary. Vassals and lickspittles of the elites to a man.

It is a perfect union of organized crime syndicate and a standing army of leg breakers.

The first Americans who resist will suffer greatly, preordained to be the perfect whipping boy of the collectivist motherfuckers.

I hope if it comes to it he or she dies with their patriot boots on in a pile of brass and sending as many of Lawlor's thugs to hell as magazines they refused to register.

There is nothing else for it. The son of a bitches are determined to go down this path. They keep probing and pushing. They will not stop till they are given bloody reason to find refuge from the wrath of those they purposefully made into enemies for the purposes of their agenda to destroy this great Republic and those who stand for it and their Liberty.

My dear friend,

please allow me to correct a theological error you mentioned in stating that we are all sons and daughters of God. The Bible specifically refutes this and provides us with the truth that all men are born as sinners, yet some among us are born again by their faith in Jesus Christ and become sons (and daughters) of God.

The Bible states that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God: 1John 4:9 "In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him."

In John 1:12, the Bible states that only to those who receive Christ as Lord and Savior are granted to become the sons of God: "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name"

Jesus also refuted the universal sons of God belief when He addressed the religious leaders of His day in John 8:44: "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it."

And when Paul addressed the sorcerer Elymas in Acts 13:10 he said: "And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?"

The Bible makes clear that the only brotherhood of man is that we are all born sinners following the rebellion of mankind against God (Psalm 2) and must be born again (John 3:3-7 and 1Peter1:23) from above.

If this understanding were not true, the separating of the sheep from the goats at the return of the Lord (Matthew 25:31) would be unjust and senseless and would be inconsistent with the rest of the Bible.

May this correction be received in grace and not detract from anything else you have said.

Oh, I don't know. I think that with their asses on the line they probably stuck around to "Sincerely." What was it Dr. Johnson said (frequently lifted by Ben Franklin)?

"Nothing concentrates the mind so wonderfully as the prospect of being hung in the morning."

I rather think it was your attention span I was taxing and not theirs. Sorry.

More's the pity that I won't be able to be in the trenches with those CT patriots. I have young ones that need to be raised and taught to believe in the founder's Constitution, and taught how to shoot.

Being the case, I will sit in my easy chair, educate my boys, eat from a big bag of popcorn and watch the show...my score card and pencil in hand so I can keep track of all the blood of tyrants and patriots that is bound to flow into the earth under that proverbial tree of liberty.

The one comment that caught my attention yet seemingly slipped by your well practiced eye came from Bob Owens; "Only about 50,000 were registered for future confiscation."

Many years ago I read an article in Guns & Ammo (perhaps by Massad Ayoob?) that started off by saying that if you wake up at 0300to the sight of an armed man standing at your bedside you have pretty much already lost the fight. The author's point was that there were so many steps you could have taken that could have either encouraged him to be at someone else's bedside or awakened you to an intruder on your property in time to do something about it and/or neutralize him as a threat.

If you think about it, that "defense in depth" concept applies to the SWAT stack forming up on your sidewalk. There are so many places in the realms of logistics, command and control, supply chain etc. where the processes that enabled the state to place those armed men on your property could have been, should have been disrupted. I'm not going to suggest any here. Why do their heavy lifting for them? But consider for a moment the fact that the EU has put a serious crimp in capital case executions here in the USA by simply refusing to supply the drugs used in lethal injections. Suppose some vendor refused to sell the state any Flash Bang grenades? Suppose a vendor refused to sell the stat police any gasoline. You think that SWAT team's going to walk to a raid? You mentioned the fact that there are probably threepers working for the state government. There are probably more working for the states vendors.

Along with your key words of "evade, resist, smuggle, it's probably time to add "SABOTAGE and BOYCOTT"!

In this as in many forms of conflict, the defender has to defend everywhere he is vulnerable, which is impossible. So he is forced to prioritize as in security details for high value personnel. Where as the attacker need only identify weak spots at critical points where dramatic effects can be achieved.

"Indeed we are all His sons and daughters, and I am grateful for Paul's prayerful reminder to me of Who I serve."

Truly, sir, you have a servant's heart.

In case that statement is misread, allow me to offer a short personal story for context.

My family and I recently started attending a new (to us) church. They serve a full breakfast every Sunday morning, but my wife and I noticed that after the meal and service, very few people helped clean up. So we started clearing the abandoned dishes, wiping down the tables and chairs, and vacuuming the floors around the dining areas. Nobody asked us to do this, but it needed to be done so we did.

After a couple Sundays, the pastor - one of the most honestly and humbly reverent men I've ever met - approached me as I was wiping a table and said how much he appreciated us helping out. I responded that it's the least we could do, after the meal and service, and we enjoyed the opportunity to give back and help out in this small way.

It was then that he told me I had a servant's heart.

At first I wasn't sure quite how to take that. However, pretty quickly I realized that given the context, coming from him, just how great a compliment it is. I can think of no greater.

So let me say again, in the same context, one Christian man to another: You, sir, truly have a servant's heart. Thank you for all that you do.

I was merely pointing out that you're taxing THEIR attention spans, not mine. I seriously doubt they read stuff that consumes more than a couple of minutes, especially when they don't like what they're reading.

I guess my brand of sarcasm was a little too subtle for you (and stuff ain't nearly as funny when you have to explain it).

A few comments:

1) Interesting that only about 38,000 mags were registered for 50,000 rifles. I tend to doubt that the owners of the 38,000 only have 1 mag each (over 10 rounds) and that the other 12,000 were sold with either 5- or 10-round mags.

While it was/is stupid to register your guns, it is frankly more stupid to say, "Uh, yeah, I have this neat AR-15 rifle, but I only have 10-round mags for it." Yeah, right. Those are the next group of people to get letters, followed by visits.

2) Mike, keep up your good work. Someone has to tell the stupid tyrants that they are setting the table for a(nother) civil war, just so that we have a chance to avoid it.

3) On the topic of resisting, evading and smuggling, I would advise any CT (or, for that matter, NY or NJ) gun owner reading this to obtain a "solvent trap adapter" - which is a small metal device that will clamp onto a barrel (or screw onto it if the barrel is threaded), the other side of which is threaded for an oil filter. The idea being that this is an environmentally sound manner to clean your firearms. I might point out that using the oil filter as an improvised sound suppressor would be illegal under federal LAW (law, not the Constitutition as I read it), so, uh, don't do it. But terrorist-types (A.K.A. "freedom fighters" depending upon your viewpoint) could use such a device to mask their location and therefore increase their chances of evasion after serving some "unintended consequences" on a tyrant. Again, this is illegal under federal law, so I advise people to not do this. Not on their 10-22, nore their AR, nor their .300 Blackout, nor any rifle or pistol they own...cuz that'd just be wrong and illegal.

4) For those curious about the Molotov Cocktails used by the Ukrainians over the last week or so, one source I have seen on the internet mentioned that he witnessed a test of several variants of said cocktail once - and that the one with the mix of gasoline and oatmeal provided the best combination of "splash," stickiness and burning - provided that the carrier was not made of glass too thick to break easily, nor too thin to withstand being thrown (or sling-shot) a distance. On an unrelated note, wouldn't it be a shame if some miscreant with a Molotov torched a bunch of CT police cars and/or armored vehicles? I certainly do.

God be with you in this attempt to right the course of Connecticut concerning our 2nd Amendment Rights. Although I have never visited your fine State, I admire all 50 and wish I could afford to visit them all. Gun rights should be so simple as defined by our Constitution. But they have been written and re-written as has nearly the entire Constitution so as to make it nearly impossible for the common man to understand. Thank God Connecticut understands. All states could use some of your backbone.

On the subject of the length of these letters:

Most Americans cannot be bothered to read any document or book of substance these days. Constitution? "Booooring!" Federalist Papers? "Bah, too long." Even George Washington's Farewell Address? "TL;DR."

Which is why we are in the place we are today. We need a new abbreviation for the texting generation: "TL;DR;WI;SC", to wit, "Too Lazy; Didn't Read; Was Ignorant; Suffered Consequences."

Excellent letter but likely well beyond the attention span of politicians that can't even be bothered to read their own legislation.

My hopes are as yours but I fear the government is too corrupt at this point to step back from the brink and the best we can hope for is not too many citizens and politicians and LEOs have to die before the lesson is learned.

I am proud and honored to be counted as a fellow Citizen-Patriot of the individual that authored this open letter. I have read this more than once, and I will read it many times again.
And I would comment to the one who politely disagreed with the Biblical reference of The People being the "Children of God." I have studied many religions, including Christianity, and I am a believer in Christ. All are welcome to their religious beliefs, but realize that religion is a tool for spirituality. Spirituality comes before religion and is what we sharpen and exercise with religion and experience. "I" believe we are all God's Children, and I see as much truth in that as I do in this letter. Live well Citizen-Patriots.

Here's a thought. Anyone here among my fellow readers know the EXACT wording of the Oath the state police and pick any other jurisdiction you care to name? Because the few I can find all pretty much some variation uphold/obey the constitution. some specify BOTH state and US some don't and just say constitution. Also the founding fathers in connecticut fucked the dog when they wrote their own version of the 2nd amendment into the state constitution by apending as they did in the US constitution "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" such is lacking in my own states constitution...but I live in the South so..*shrug*

At any rate those officers of the state police if they are sent out on door to door confiscation raids[and I believe they are going to be] are about to violate part of their oaths.

I have asked the same question at WRS.
Using your Google Analytic do you have a ball park number of how many citizens of Connecticut follow you writing here at SSI?

It would be interesting to know.

Famed Sandy Hook Connecticut State Policeman Says Opposing Gun Grab Is Un-American

"GMN Producer Guerilla Girl Ashley contacted Connecticut State Police to inquire about the recent letter sent to residents regarding gun confiscation in Connecticut. “Sandy Hook” State Police Spokesman Lt. Vance answered the telephone and spoke to Ashley. The recording of the call reveals the shocking disregard this sworn peace officer has for the U.S. Constitution, and even goes so far as to call Ashley “un-American” for inquiring about the constitutionality of the gun confiscation law.
In Lt. Vance’s own words, “…I am the master….”

this email was sent to CCDL. You all should be interested in this, obviously....
To all,
I can't imagine that any of y'all have not heard of this man since he's been on about every patriot blog I have looked at.. As well as Facebook..
But................ If you have not, then I ask you to listen. I will not back down when it comes to the Bill of Rights. The 2ND protects all others, but you're the choir... So..... Just so you know, I do not subscribe to any theories. I have no idea how anyone 'could not' question what many in this country clearly see, that happened. I saw it for what it was...From the start. And now.. the filthy treasonous results that I foresaw because of it, you now (WE all will) fight AGAINST! Nothing is worse than a traitor to the oath, sworn to the constitution. If that treason is built on a lie, (and most are) in my world... It would be a very short trial..

You are fighting the unconstitutional diktat that seeks to disarm you, then I gotta tell you............
You must hear this interview (one of four I have listened to so far), and if you understand the importance of it, (I have no idea of how you couldn't) then by all means get the WORD out, and support him.. Wolfgang Halbig..
He is doing it right.. Support him, as you are fighting stunning national fraud, else why would they defy him on his right to CT. FOI law. >>>WITH THREATS!!
Up to you to decide.. But what's happening to you, will be coming to every state in this country. It must be brought to light NOW!
I have personally talked to Wolfgang on three occasions.. You don't know me, but I will give you my word, as honor is my standard.. He is real, and he is honorable!!!
WE all have a right to the TRUE answers I know are there VS. the narrative given via propaganda, only an idiot would believe... Or narrative known and manufactured by a treasonous bastard with an agenda as any tyrant and their filthy sycophants would, and done...........historically....
Listen.. because.... Personally... You know it's that important!!

Mike: CT is not any longer the "Constitution State" it is the "Insurance Company Welfare State"

I was a lobbyist for gun rights and veterans' rights in the 70's. All of the anti-Second Amendment lobbying was either the insurance companies in Hartford, or their useful idiots, the usual suspects. In addition, CT is wall to wall with agressive and psychotic females. You had a picture of one posted once...(A state trooper) I had to leave in 1990, as I could see just where this dump was headed. They are totally concerned with this life only, obsessed by external conditions and have NO inner life at all. A lot of my fellow employees in CT were totally obsessed with money, gambling and retirement. Such people have refinement of perception somewhat less than a cow, and used to give me the "Deer in the Headlights" look if I ever mentioned such things as where all this was leading, or an oath of office as an Officer in the US Army or CT Army Guard. They seemed to be waiting for some type of leader to tell them what to think and do, and generally had no individual rational mentation to speak of..

Gun Storage Containers

First, you must make sure you have the proper storage container. Do not use the original cardboard box of your gun or any cardboard box. Further, do not use foam or sheep skinned-lined cases. Cardboard, sheep skin and foam all attract moisture. A silicon-treated gun sock, gun storage bags, or any gun safe is your best bet if you are keeping your gun at home. You can also wrap your gun in kitchen wax paper instead of a bag or a sock. If you choose this method, make sure no parts are sticking out, wrap it mummy-style and secure with masking tape. If you are going to be using a gun safe, store your long guns barrel down so that no oil can seep into the stock or other parts of the gun.

Hoppe’s “Guide to Gun Care” says that any moisture will start the rusting process within 24 hours. Moisture can also cause your stock to crack. Put desiccant in your safe or in any bag you put your weapon in to prevent moisture build-up.

Preparing For Storage

Break down your gun as much as you can. Keep the gun decocked to relieve tension on springs and other parts, or remove hammer springs, firing pin springs and recoil springs. Remove all fingerprints from your gun using Outer’s silicone gun and reel cloth or a cloth with Break-Free CLP. Copper, lead, plastic and carbon will all attract moisture, so completely clean your gun, preferably with products that are ammonia-free, such as Hoppe’s Elite Gun Cleaner and Copper Terminator. Thoroughly clean out the bore of your gun and then apply a thin layer of lubrication, such as Break-Free CLP. Also apply a light coat of lubrication to other exterior metal surfaces. Birchwood Casey’s Barricade rust prevention contains metal preservatives that will leave a transparent coating to seal the surface with a protective film. Note that greases and other petroleum-based products will ruin plastic and synthetic stocks and rubber pistol grips, so apply lubrication and oils only to the metal parts of the gun.

Wood stocks need special attention. You will need to treat your wood stock with wax to prevent swelling and cracking. Birchwood Casey’s gun stock wax is safe to use on wood, metal and leather. Do not forget to wax inside the stock. Remove as much of the metal parts as you can, such as the receiver and barrel. Wax the wood under the metal and then reassemble the gun before storing.

Check your stored gun periodically, especially if you live in a humid area and re-oil if necessary.

Burying Your Weapon

If you decide to bury your weapon for a bug-out situation, preparing it for storage is just the same as illustrated above, with the exception of storing it in a gun sock. Instead, use wax paper or storage bags, such as Aloksak Weapons Storage Bags for handguns and for rifles. Underground storage takes extra steps. You will want your long-term storage container to be corrosion-and weather-proof. Get PVC or ABS pipe thick enough to store your rifle or handgun in. Seal the pipe with threaded, water-proof sealant.

Before you decide to bury your weapon/weapons, consider the following:

1.Remember your location. Will it be easy to access? Will you look suspicious burying it there or driving by to check on it? Will new construction cover it up?
2. Recovery time. Your weapon may not be in pick-up and fire condition. You will need to wipe off all excess grease. If you have prepared and stored your gun correctly, it should work when you uncover it.
3. Can others detect it? Some suggest picking an area that has metal parts lying around already, so that a metal detector may not find your rifle, but will find scrap metal instead.

More than that, they frankly just don't believe it. They don't believe that people who have been maneuvered into complacency over the last century will fight and die for principle - they think that is so remote from the modern psyche as to be a delusion.

And so they will challenge that eventuality, believing that when push comes to shove, the people won't stand a chance against their authority.

Thank you for the tutorial sir. There may be times and places for the application of such knowledge, but I've also heard it said that when the situation dictates that it's time to bury your guns, it's actually time to dig them up.

Is the Constitution, to which high officials take an oath, one where the meaning of the words in the
text is plain for everyone to read and follow, or is the meaning what the present members of the judicial branch tell us what it means? Recall that in a different venue, officials of the current administration would inform their employees that they consider members of Oath Keepers to hold extremist views about the
Constitution.

So what does Attorney General Holder instruct his officials regarding Heller or other Court decisions that he clearly disagrees with? By his actions he is trying to circumvent the law. What would Holder say about Dred Scott where the Court held that runaway slaves were not persons but were property?

Holder doesn't mention that an official can just resign rather than violate an oath to uphold a law he finds odious. Indeed any police officer, judge or petty bureaucrat can resign the instant they are told to enforce a dysfunctional view of the Constitution, but how many do? I haven't heard of anyone.

My personal position is that the Oath is to the text of the Constitution and not to the Supreme Court. In being faithful to that Oath, I am willing to be informed by the Supreme Court, but not controlled by the Supreme Court.

Some good stuff here. The national level of anger just keeps on rising. The actions of certain legislators seem to just keep that anger growing. As has been seen in Connecticut, large numbers of people have simply ignored a law they don't agree with. Believe this will increase nationwide.

I fear the gap between governments at all levels and the citizenry is rapidly becoming unbridgeable. And with the economy steadfastly refusing to recover on top of all the oppressive measures coming from certain legislatures, it sure does look like a storm's brewing.

Article 1 Section 7 Clause 2 of the United States Constitution

DICK ACT of 1902... CAN'T BE REPEALED (GUN CONTROL FORBIDDEN) - Protection Against Tyrannical Government
http://www.knowthelies.com/?q=...

Article 1 Section 7 Clause 2

No laws of Congress are valid
“Congress can pass no law while a usurper pretends to occupy “the Office of President.”
The Constitution provides that “[e]very Bill which shall have passed
the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a
Law, be presented to the President of the United States” (Article I, Section 7, Clause 2). Not to a usurper posturing
as “the President of the United States,” but to the true and rightful
President. If no such true and rightful President occupies the White
House, no “Bill” will or can, “before it become a Law, be presented to
[him].” If no “Bill” is so presented, no “Bill” will or can become a
“Law.” And any purported “Law” that the usurper “approve[s]” and
“sign[s],” or that Congress passes over the usurper’s “Objections,” will
be a nullity. Thus, if Obama deceitfully “enters office” as an usurper,
Congress will be rendered effectively impotent for as long as it
acquiesces in his pretenses as “President.””
And

Furthermore, Obama Could not be Removed Except by Force. As a USURPER posturing
as “the President,” Congress cannot even impeach Obama because, not being the
actual President, he cannot be “removed from Office on Impeachment for, and
Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors”
(see Article II, Section 4). In that case, some other public officials would have to arrest
him—with physical force, if he would not go along quietly—in order to prevent him
from continuing his imposture. Obviously, this could possibly lead to
armed conflicts within the General Government itself, or among the
States and the people. BUT IT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IF WE ARE TO SAVE HER!
America.

ALSO, Bear in mind, that as an imposter Commander–in-Chief of the Armed Forces,
“he will be entitled to no obedience whatsoever from anyone in those Armed
forces and Law Enforcment. Indeed, for officers or men to follow any of his
purported “orders” including law enforcement will constitute a serious breach of military
discipline—and in extreme circumstances even charged with “war crimes.”
In addition, no one in any civilian agency in the Executive Branch of
the General Government will be required to put into effect any of
Obama’s purported “proclamations,” “executive orders,” or “directives”
(Viera, J.).

Biden cannot step in to take over as President nor can Pelosi, Reed, Clintons, Boehner,...because they are all Criminally in COLLUSSION with the NWO, England, Bilderbergs George Soros the EU and the UN Tri Latsetc.... We must elect an intrim Government which will step in for 6 months untill new elections can be had...

Does a list of the addresses of all potential "police", & politicians, and their families exist? If not, one should be made available to all interested parties, for the purpose of "doing unto others as they would do to you". It might just cause them to rethink their position in this matter. If not, then it will tend to greatly reduce their numbers after SHTF.

It's well and good to stand with the victims of the raids when they begin - but will we actually recognize them?

It won't be Ward and June Cleaver. Nor will it likely be Randy Weaver or the Branch Davidians. Those are obvious wakeup calls, sore spots, and flash-points.

It will almost certainly be a "drug dealer" or a "pedophile" or some other Undesirable. Undesirables are usually the first to be forced onto the trains, and if there isn't a suitable Undesirable, the lapdog MSM is well-practiced at creating them out of borderline cases. Either way, the first few Undesirables will probably have been suitable raid targets even without the new law, and will certainly be the brushes used to paint all others who didn't register. They will be the first Exhibits in "How Well The New Law Is Working For Your Safety".

Nor will the raids likely be soon. I expect they'll be some time later, after the uproar has diminished, after other things have diverted our attention away from CT.

Will we have stood by the drug dealer and the pedophile a year from now? Or.... how about the abortion clinic doctor who stockpiles at home? - how many of us will have stood by him?

And how many of us will have merely set our newsfeeds to "Cleaver"?

I'm very new to the site, but I've seen no indication that anyone has given any thought to identifying the ACTIONABLE raids. The enemy has plans and scenarios which they rehearse; we seem to have only vague images of Ward and June. They have armored vehicles, body armor, well defined tactics, and decades of experience at taking the fight to our doorstep; we have vague images of defeating them there on our very first try.

4th Generation Warfare sounds great. Does it include a method of surviving long enough to implement it? Toward that end, an Anonymous poster in these comments briefly explained the vulnerabilities of a defender. I had wanted to make the same point. He did it better.
