The blowback on this (assuming there is any) should be fascinating.

When the ultimate protected class, the perfect title of mobility, finally funds itself no more protected than the rest of us, I would say implosion of critical mass scale has almost arrived. When the "manner of the bar" status proves ineffective in the privilege and immunity department, maybe those who think they have held a special status will finally realize that they have been taken for the fools they are.

Indeed, maybe, just possibly, they are finding out that being eaten last is really no different than being eaten. After all , it is still being eaten, right ?

I am actually GLAD lawyers have to face this oft denied reality. They are just people like the rest of us and witnessing them actually treated like the rest of us might just produce a new attitude from them.

"Government" biting the hand that fed it, the bar members who felt immune, might just turn a longtime FOE of the liberty movement into a welcome ally. If those disenfranchised, one time self appointed. Political elite want to join up, shedding their "elevated" status, then so be it. However, if they refuse to accept the EQUALITY that this NSA action proves, by all means then they can be rolled over like the rest of the nobles.

Is it proper, yet, to say, "I told you so"?

With real terrorists out there, they are wasting time intercepting private attorney work product regarding kreteks and shrimp. Amazing.
