The Mike Vanderboegh Papers. Finished (almost) with donating my papers to collections at Brown University.

Forty eight boxes, more or less, covering the period 1993 to 2016. Brown gave us the most advantageous proposal. Dr. Robert Churchill flew down to help with the transfer. There is perhaps another five or six boxes remaining to be gone through. I postponed the hospital stay in order to accomplish this herculean task and am checking into Grandview Medical Center tomorrow morning early. I will have a laptop so that I can post and catch up on some writing tasks, I will let y'all know what room I'm in sometime tomorrow.

Congratulations Mike. I know this is a big weight off your mind. Now you can finish Absolved. It is too good a novel to remain unfinished.

Don't delay your hospital stay too long. The later you go in for treatment, the more the "poison" will spread, the longer you'll have to stay.
But this is preaching to the choir.

G-d bless you, and give you peace of mind and body, and that the physicians will know how to treat you effectively.

The MVB Papers at an Ivy League university, archived with the help of Dr. Robert Churchill. That's amazing. What an honor. Congratulations!
I hope everything is going well with your latest health hurdle. Prayers.

Sir, you're clearly free to manage the disposition of personal effects as you wish, but I'm frankly surprised by the decision to give them to an extremely left-wing institution like Brown.

Who President Trump would be good for; who he would be a disaster for

Donald Trump is rolling toward the Republican nomination for President of the United States. That is a sobering thought for many people. The Democrats seem determined to nominate Hillary Clinton who will be easy to beat in the general election next November; and this will present a nightmare scenario for many people.

More than this, a Trump presidency will bring joy and renewed hope to millions of hard working, God-fearing Americans. Trump will deliver justice for those of us who have suffered while we watched helplessly as our nation has declined toward third world lawlessness over the past seven years.

So who will be the winners and who will be the losers with Donald Trump as our president?

The Middle Class that has been footing the bills for Barack Obama’s plunge into Marxism will win immediately. The wheels will be put into motion that will bring an end to our having to pay to support people who will not work and want our destruction. Whether these parasites are home grown or imported, they are fed and clothed on our dime so they can vote Democrat forever. Their presence will begin to recede from our midst.

Christians will feel the force of the federal government defending and supporting them as Trump dismantles Obama’s reign of terror against us. Within months, those who love and cherish the Bill of Rights, especially the 1st and 2nd Amendments will recognize the federal government’s 180 degree turn away from its policy of harassing gun owners and conservative groups organized to protest Obama.

Our military men and women who have served us so well will be treated with the respect and gratitude they richly deserve.

Workers who have seen their buying power diminished and their jobs sent overseas will soon see the difference between a president who loves and values America and one who does not.

Those who have lived in fear of attack from violent illegal aliens, brought into our country to clear out large sections of our big cities so they can be maintained as Democrat voter fraud plantations, will see big changes very soon after Trump enters office.

Progressive Totalitarianism

In his book The Snapping of the American Mind, David Kupelian asks the following painful question that millions of Americans like myself have pondered for years and will ponder for some time to come as America slowly rips itself apart. Kupelian writes, “How could it be that hundreds of thousands of Americans fought and bled – and many died – on foreign shores to contain an evil and metas-tasizing ideology variously called communism, Marxism, socialism, collectivism, or statism, and yet now, just a few years later, we would gaze up at the pinnacle of power in our own country and behold leaders in thrall to essentially the same core ideology we fought and died to protect strangers from?”

As James Burnham explained in his 1964 classic, Suicide of the West, “liberalism has always operated most naturally as a tendency of opposition to the prevailing order, to the status quo, the ancien rĂ©gime, the Establishment in general or in its several parts.” Liberalism, continues Burnham, “has always stressed change, reform, the break with encrusted habit whether in the form of old ideas, old customs or old institutions. Thus liberalism has been and continues to be primarily negative in its impact on society.”

Liberalism wants you to snap, it wants to challenge your sanity and destroy your belief system so that it can remold you in its image of dependency. First and foremost though, it must extinguish those institutions in which we hold dear. It is why, since his first day in office, Barack Obama has relentlessly attacked the cultural, moral, and religious institutions that those of us on the right hold dear. Yet, even Obama himself is not solely the one to blame for he represents the logical extreme of liberalism; He is a symptom of the progressive creation and his rise to the pinnacle of power in this nation represented a turning point for the worse as the government has been infused with an ideology of totalitarianism. Take a look at any government agency functioning today and you’d be hard pressed to find just one that isn’t completely politicized into attacking the ideological opponents of progressivism. In turn, you can do the same exact thing with our culture itself and you’ll find the same results. Wherever the progressives are in power, from the government to the culture to the academia and the media, the hatred of Western values dominates.

Socialism masquerading as progressivism is really totalitarianism that will inevitably lead to the total destruction of the American spirit and to a leveling of America into death.

For Anon at 11:25 AM;

Sorry, but I can not disagree more. I will address your points individually.

"a Trump presidency will bring joy and renewed hope to millions of hard working,"
If so it will be a false hope - which is WORSE than no hope at all!

"Trump will deliver justice for those of us who have suffered while we watched helplessly as our nation has declined toward third world lawlessness over the past seven years."
And precisely how, pray tell, will he do that? Come on! Exactly how will he accomplish such a feat - utterly unprecedented in the history of the world?

"The Middle Class that has been footing the bills for Barack Obama’s plunge into Marxism will win immediately."
Balderdash! Stuff and Nonsense! There is no way he can do that! The rich are already paying everything they cannot get out of paying. The middle class has ALWAYS borne the burden of taxation if for no other reason than because the economy runs on small business. If you confiscated the total net worth of the entire Fortune 500, you would only realize enough to operate the FedGov for a couple of days - AT MOST! The welfare state is too deeply entrenched to be eliminated. Too many government workers get paid for administering it. And too many politicians - of both sides (2 wings of the same rapacious bird, remember?) - are too dependent on votes from the welfare state to stay in office.

"Christians will feel the force of the federal government defending and supporting them as Trump dismantles Obama’s reign of terror against us."
I'm not sure such would occur even if The Donald WERE a strong, committed Christian. Which agency do you imagine would be accomplishing this miracle?

"Within months, those who love and cherish the Bill of Rights, especially the 1st and 2nd Amendments will recognize the federal government’s 180 degree turn away from its policy of harassing gun owners and conservative groups organized to protest Obama."
How, exactly do you see such a turn-around occurring? The FedGov is so chock-a-block full of leftists now that any Repub appointee is gonna have a hell of a time getting them to do anything he/she wants done. They’ve been packing in the progs for the entire time His Majesty has been in office. I’m not talking about the political appointees. I’m talking about the level of bureaucrats just below the appointees. If (and I figure that is a damned near planet-sized “if”) the GOP nominee wins in November (not something I’d bet my life on) the people he appoints will be the titular/nominal heads of the agencies but the “neck” will be near 100% progs.

"Workers who have seen their buying power diminished and their jobs sent overseas will soon see the difference between a president who loves and values America and one who does not."
And precisely how do you see that happening? I'd really like to know.

"Those who have lived in fear of attack from violent illegal aliens, brought into our country to clear out large sections of our big cities so they can be maintained as Democrat voter fraud plantations, will see big changes very soon after Trump enters office."
And exactly how do you see that coming about? How would you propose - practically speaking - to go about doing such a monumental feat? Compared to doing what you say The Donald would do, all 12 of Heracles' legendary labors would be a picnic in the park!

I don't know who you are, Mr. Anon at 11:25 AM, but I would really like to know the name/location of your dealer. Whatever you've been toking just HAS to be TOTALLY PRIMO shit!

Thank you Anonymous, for the link to the millennial take on Progressive Totalitarianism. There may be hope if enough young people begin to get what's going on.
I'll be saving the article and sending it to friends, one of whom is in his first year of college.

Good morning, Mike. Good to see you at it from the hospital bed this morning. You're amazing! And just in case you might be feeling the effects of pain killers, I notice you missed the link in your post 'Classic Straw Porchase'.

Love you, Brother.

Hope your health improves Mike, but I have to agree with the comment below about your papers going to Brown and never seeing the light of day again. -- I live in RI and Brown is an Uber Leftist university which has in the past ridiculed you, Militias, Oathkeepers, Tea Partiers Veterans, and Patriots in general. Brown is just an extension of the SPLC that you so despise... I don't understand your decision to send your life's archives to a place where they will be used to depict you as someone to be ridiculed & scorned.
