VDH: The West Is Repeating the Mistakes of the 1930s.

The answer is obvious. British and French appeasement, Soviet collaboration, and American isolation had together convinced Hitler and his Axis allies that the victors of World War I were more eager to grant concessions at any cost than were the defeated. The world of 2016 is eerily beginning to resemble the powder keg of 1939 Europe.

The first and greatest mistake that made WWII inevitable was the outcome of WWI, sold as the utterly ridiculous notion of "the war to end all wars".

Of course WWI was itself a collections of mistakes that would be comedic if not for the magnitude of the horrors unleashed.

But the central, foundational mistake of them all was progressivism...especially the idea that mankind could be improved by some post-Christian world order or other.

No, the world today isn't "eerily similar"...it is exactly the same in every important respect...except that Christianity is less politically and culturally influential.
