Anniversary: 9/11/01; 9/11/12

I almost hate to post anything on the anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 attack because it brings out the Alex Jones "False-Flag-Bush-Blew-It-Up" crowd. No, I'm not going to re-litigate that in these pages or in the comments. Save your electrons. It does seem to me to be worthwhile to mention this: A Quiet Hero of the 9/11 Attacks Speaks Out -- Documentary recounts tale of Marine who braved rubble to rescue cops.
After the rescue, he kept coming back every day for three weeks, continuing his search, though without any luck. Even his family had no idea what he had done. He didn’t speak up until 2006, when investigative fantasist Oliver Stone’s film about the rescue, World Trade Center, used a white actor to play the black Thomas. What is certain is that, at a moment when mankind’s darkest impulses were on full and horrifying display in the mass murder of 3,000 people, Thomas reminded us of the best ones. He didn’t have to help; he did. He didn’t have to enter the hellish remains of the trade center; he did.

I am one of those alex jones types, but I refuse to beat a dead horse or argue about something that happened 14 years ago. All I know if you are 100% legit and on the side of liberty and freedom. Molon Labe
