"goes against the decorum and also against the rules of the Senate"
Decorum? Rules of the Senate? These attitudes, and the wailing of "send me back to Kongress, I know how things work there", are what got us to the present situation we have, with liberties abridged, if not outright stripped away, with the US so deep in debt I doubt that our great grandchildren will ever see the end of it.

Come hell or high water, I will vote for Ted Cruz for president, even if it's a write in. And to answer my wife's complaint, no, it will not be a vote wasted, even if it isn't for the GOPe "Popular Guy" (YEB!).

Rand Paul sez: "Here in the Senate, we support bills based not on their legislative merit, but on the popularity of their sponsors."

Thanks for the confession, Rand.

I had rather take my chances with voluntarism than participate in the scam that is voting. All politicians care about is if their pocket has enough room to take the next bribe, err, I mean campaign contribution.

Hey FedUp....let's at least have a semblance of honesty about our comments....Rand Paul said no such thing. I realize that you put "sez" in front of it to indicate interpretive sarcasm....but the quote is misleading.

The video that accompanies the article shows far more about Paul's character than the article itself does....though I agree that Cruz is 100% accurate about calling these charlatans out for the lies they propagate. But, that doesn't speak to Paul's endorsement of these same liars; instead it speaks to his philosophy of personal respect for others. While I agree with most on this site that the thieves of liberty deserve no such respect, I cannot fault a man for having more manners than I might.

Respectfully submitted.

Rino vs rino. McConnell is a rino, Paul is a rino, Cruz is a rino.

Oh, so Cruz is a rino? How so?

Well, his wife worked for gold sacks and the freaking cfr. It doesn't get any more nwo than that. Cruz praised Nelson Madela at his funeral, a convicted terrorist and I'm pretty certain Mandela was marxist.

So, who is a true conservative in government today?

As for the traditions and goings on in and about the Senate one could google "Charles Sumner".

Milk toast Rand Paul. Stabbed his Pops in the back. When he endorsed Mitt [launder that Panamanian drug cartel $] Romney. Over Ron Paul, for Potus. Who is a real Constitutionalist/Libertarian. District of Criminals ,all get rich . Sell America out. The multinational , globalist , bankers is their Pied Piper. Who plays the tune that the anointed political class dances to. As long as our so called political masters .Follow the edicts of the Trilateral Commission and the Council of Foreign Relations. They and their families are assured a place @ the table of The New World Order. Sadly - "WE the People" ,are considered, expendable, yeoman slaves. I say America first ! I am no citizen of the world! Behind enemy lines, Ct. I will never stand down. Nor comply AAA/O. 11B20.

Saw this. Paul is telling me he is blacklisting? That my representative can no longer represent me? We will see who is finished in the Senate, and it won't be Cruz, but Paul.

Now Mike, you shouldn't sugar coat your words. Say what you think. :)

True, it's not technically correct to put my restatement in quotes, but it is an accurate paraphrasing of the words the linked article claims Paul did say.

Paul sealed his fare when he endorsed Mitch. As for Cruz, he is a bar member. He held dual citizenship. And no matter what else comes about, he or trump will be in the Oval Office come 2017. Heck, they both might be. I see it possible that Cruz may find himself President of the Senate - hey Rand, you still thinking keeping that senate seat is what you want? Maybe that is what has him so rattled and snapping about Cruz. Maybe he's reading the writing on the wall
