Most important on this list is number 6)Begging the government to save you.

Community minded preppers need to be aware that they may become the de facto government in their area, and that will attract people who are working their way down this list, after having mastered such community oriented skills as looting, cannibalism, and blaming YOU for their stupidity.

Yep; for some reason I have this visual of the entire bipedal voting base.

In the words of the eminent Dr. Emilio Lizardo, aka Lord John Whorfin, "Laugh-a while you can, monkey-boy."

funny, I know a couple of people like that. I'm afraid even this though will not shake them out of their trance

If one has food and supplies stashed, one should go stand in government relief lines.

People will start wondering why you're not there to receive help and may just show up at your door to ask a few questions.

Anything you think you have as a "prep" can be taken away at any time. The level of stupid "doomer" bullshit involved in this just hit "epic". Doomers live in a fantasy world at best; But this kind of goofy fear mongering is just so over the top paranoid as to border on "mental defect". The sad TRUTH is; If a disaster is big enough or progresses long enough EVERYONE starves. You CANNOT "PREP" FOR EVERYTHING, and if TEOTWAWKI really does hit you WILL DIE. Sooner than later, everyone does. If you believe anything else your mental state should be checked.---Ray

"The sad TRUTH is;".... That you're a defeatist dumb ass.

YOU may not be able to survive and I can see why. So can everybody else. Why don't you change your diaper and post somewhere else, girl friend.

I think Blake gave some fine advice here.

Thanks you, sir!

Everyone dies.

Some people live righteously enough to pass on something worthwhile to posterity.

I can sum up how to be when standing in line for 12 hours for handouts becomes a way of life.....Grey man...tell nothing you dont need to, and show nothing that tells anything about you...blend in, look the part, but never ever reveal your poker hand...unless you absolutely have too.
