So, the weekly trip to the wound clinic today reveals a deep infection has popped up in my left foot leading to a prescription for Cipro and a new off-loading knee-length brace that I can't remove (it has a special security zip tie) and threatens to trip me with every step, especially up the stairs. No more showers for me for a while. It would have to be 108 in the frigging shade. Must stay off my feet, sez the man with the medical degree. Easy to say, hard to do.
Hang in there, we are all pulling for you!
Please stay off your feet and follow the Doctors instructions. Heck man you just made 58 let´s see you make another couple 58 you do want to see the ¨Restoration¨ Don´t you, I know I do I don´t think I can go with a clear conscious not knowing that have left a better place for my Grandchildren to grow up.
Sorry to hear it, bud...
I gotta tell you though - it's pretty funny about the zip-tie... apparently Doc knows you pretty well, huh?
We're praying for you...
As I have learned the hard way, sometimes - especially with the incredible tech in modern prosthetics - getting rid of a bum wheel is just common sense. I'm trying to get my Docs to do just that for me...
I can't help notice that the decent people of the world usually suffer many physical ailments while the world's obscene filth seem to never even have a cold. There's something very profound there. Sure wish I knew what it was.
Major bummer. Follow Doc's orders. Get better soon Mike.
Consume lots of water with CIPRO . Will desicate you out. That's a whole new set of problems.
Not good! Hang in there! If it had to happen to you, I'm glad it happened before Obamacare wrote you off.
I'm praying for you brother.
Good luck, Dutchman.
Take care of yourself. We need you doing what you do.
Damn .... Sorry to hear about that, I will add you to my prayer list again. In the mean time do what you must to get better we need your wisdom.
Bummer, Dutchman. But if the alternative is a pegleg (and who thinks the government weasels will give him anything better?) then you ought to consider following Dr's orders. I hear recovering from amputation is a stone bitch.
Besides, would you want to die from stupid failure to heed medical advice or taking down a load of statists? Besides, if you're flat on your ass you can doo more blogs, spend a bit o' time answering emails and whatnot.
PLUS, you need to hang around as long as possible to get to know that new grandbaby. I can tell you that the relationship with a grown offspring or grandchild is a GREAT thing.
Bad Cyborg X
Let's see, Mike is under the weather at the moment, Codrea is ?????????, Tony from Liberty Sphere is under the weather and StraightArrow has passed. Anyone beside me see anything potentially troubling here. I haven't been feeling so good lately either. Hmmmmmmmmmm.
I'm sure it's just coincidence - unless the trend continues with other libertarians and/or constitutionalist around the web/nation.
Time for another round of hyperbaric oxygen? I did it myself for quite some time; increasing pressure and/or time considerably beyond the usual starting point can help a lot for difficult cases.
Get well, Mike. I've got to have bunions on the bottom of both my feet trimmed every three months, so I know something of the agony. Getting old's a bitch! Look on it as downtime to get Absolved done and to get a start on the next one.
To save footsteps, I've got the dog somewhat trained to make my favorite Bushmills concoction, but she always adds to much soda... plus I think she's been skimming the bottle...
Take your Cipro, drink LOTS of water, stay off of your feet, cut back or eliminate as much rice, potatoes, bread, and sugar as you can. Infections LOVE sugar and will spread like crazy if you feed them.
Sosuckyfoyou. Sorry to hear.Regards and best wishes. Fight on brother. JTJ
Well He2xl!! My Prayers are with you bud. Get well soon!
Blue Skyz to ya',
Swift recovery Mr. V
Take care of yourself Mike. We can't afford to lose any like you.
What ebd10 said X2
But add non-processed foods to your diet and remove processed. Not as easy or fun to eat but necessary. Doc said a balanced diet didn't he? He meant it.
You don't heal as fast and as well as other people and everything affects you faster and with more profundity.
Be advised, we want you around and in one piece. You still have work to do. The mission isn't complete. The only easy day was yesterday, somebody once said. There are people who make a difference and are hard to replace.
Take your vitamins.
Best wishes for a complete and fast recovery. Prayers coming your way, Mike.
