Praxis: Another use for those marvelous Brit bandoleers

Mike,

I purchased some of that ammo you mentioned in your blog today. It's all great stuff. Anyway, I immediately loaded it into M1A magazines where it belongs and had several of those green nylon bandos "left over". You can get two (2) M1 (30-06) clips in those pockets. One up and one down and they fit tight so you don't need cardboard sleeves. 80 rounds in the nylon bandos versus 48 rounds in the cotton bandos.


Note the very useful snaps on the Brit bando. I have used these things to hold everything from 7.62x54R to 12 Gauge shotgun buckshot and slugs (I don't bother combat packing birdshot) not to mention the 5.56 and 7.62 NATO that came in them.
