Connecticut Carry: What are you waiting for? Bring it on, or forget it.

A Press Release from Connecticut Carry:
To Officials of the State of Connecticut: Either Enforce or Repeal 2013 Anti-gun Laws.
Rocky Hill CT, March 3, 2014: A recent media tidal wave based on false reports and bad journalism has proven a few things about the 2013 Gun Ban: people from Connecticut and around the nation are tired of being threatened; are ready to make a stand; and the State of Connecticut does not have the stomach to enforce the edicts and laws with which they threaten gun owners.
For years, Undersecretary Michael Lawlor, the upper levels of the State Police, and Governor Dannel Malloy have sought to disarm those whom they fear. The laws they passed show that they fear constitutionally and lawfully armed citizens. Despite thousands of gun owners showing up at each legislative session expecting to be heard by their ‘representatives’, government officials seized upon public panic related to the Newtown Massacre, as a means to exert legislative and executive fiats intent upon disarming gun owners who have harmed no one. The Connecticut Executive and Legislative branches showed their cowardice when they installed metal detectors and armed guards at the entrances to the Legislative Office Building (LOB) only for firearms-related hearings.
Gun hating officials now have their laws on the books in Connecticut. They dreamed up those laws, in their tyrannical dystopias, but it was NOT the majority of the public that supported such laws. Despite all the severe legal language that the government passed, there is still no open discussion of enforcing those tyrannical laws, as they stand. Throughout the Legislature and the Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection (DESPP), there is only talk of "amnesty" and possibly boiling the frog at a slower rate.
It comes as no surprise that the talks of relaxing enforcement expectations go along with legislators trying to get past their re-election deadlines. If the anti-gun laws they passed are so good for everyone in this state, then why are elected officials requesting increased security, both at the LOB and at their private homes? The anti-gun legislators and officials are scared to implement their tyranny because they know that they did not have any sort of ‘consent of the governed’. Those officials violated their oaths of office, as the Executive and Legislative branches of our Connecticut government overstepped their moral and constitutional responsibilities by passing those laws: they acted and voted contrary to our Rights and against our Constitution.
Now, State officials look down the barrel of the laws that they created, and it is very probably that they now tremble as they rethink the extremity of their folly. Connecticut Carry calls on every State official, every Senator, and every Representative, to make the singular decision: Either enforce the laws as they are written and let us fight it out in court, or else repeal the 2013 Gun Ban in its entirety.
As many media sources have pointed out, there is very little compliance with the new edicts, and there is absolutely no way for the State to know who is obeying the law or not. State officials have made their bluff, and Undersecretary Lawlor has made his position clear, that the State will enforce the laws. We say: Bring it on. The officials of the State of Connecticut have threatened its citizens by fiat. They have roared on paper, but they have violated Principle. Now it's time for the State to man-up: either enforce its edicts or else stand-down and return to the former laws that did not so violently threaten the citizens of this state.
There is nothing that will so completely destroy faith in those edicts faster than the State-provoked chaos and violence that will be required to enforce the 2013 anti-gun laws. Connecticut residents should not have to live in perpetual fear of "the jack boot" coming down on them. Unenforced, frequently repeated threats fall on deaf ears. By passing laws that they cannot or choose not to enforce, State officials tell the public that this State is ignorant, immoral, blind, and impotent in its legal and decision making processes. The passage of such foolishly conceived, insufferable laws is an affront to every law-abiding citizen. Every official who supports such legal foolishness mocks our State and the Constitution they swore to uphold.
If the state does not have the stomach to enforce these laws, then the legislature has until May 7th, 2014 to completely repeal these immoral edicts and let the residents of Connecticut return to their rightfully owned property and former exercise of constitutional rights and practices without any threat of State violence.
“From Governor Malloy, to Undersecretary Lawlor to DESPP, Commissioner Schriro, and Lieutenant Cooke of the firearms unit, and including Lt. Paul Vance, the state needs to shit, or get off the pot. The fact is, the state does not have the balls to enforce these laws. The laws would not survive the public outcry and resistance that would occur.” - Connecticut Carry Director Ed Peruta
If officials of the State of Connecticut opt to get ‘froggy’ (jumping on citizens) and start to enforce the new laws (as officials have claimed a desire to do), Connecticut Carry stands ready to do whatever it takes and whatever it can do to represent and defend anyone impacted by the State’s violence.
“As citizens of Connecticut, we have a right to bear arms. With that right comes responsibility. The responsibility to stand in defense of ourselves and our fellow citizens is paramount.” – Connecticut Carry President Rich Burgess

PLAN for April 5th Saturday:

''People of Connecticut, if you listen you can hear a faint rumble in the distance. That's help coming!!!

You are not alone in this, by any means.

This is just one of the events that are just now being planned ''

Saturday, April 5, 2014 12:00pm until 3:00pm in EDT
share, share, and share some more! Come join your fellow gun owners and 2A supporters! A Gun Rights Rally will once again be held on the North Side Capitol Grounds. We will need every person there to make sure that our voices will be heard.

More details will be coming soon, but for now mark the date on your calendar...

If the government in CT had their way, they would enforce this the same way CA does: Just keep a list of probable evil black rifle owners, and whenever one stopped for some reason, keep him in custody and turn his house inside out looking for contraband.

If the CT thugs are smart, they will NOT go door to door ... they will just pick up gun owners one at a time, while they are no where near their homes.

No Alamos for gun owners, sorry. If you are serious about resistance, you need to be thinking safehouse, not alamo.

I suppose we will see if the government there is both smart and evil.

I haven't been invited. In fact, I have been studiously ignored by CCDL of late. I am told that CCDL apparently doesn't want me there because it might embarrass the politicians they have already invited. Of course, I have also been advised by just about everybody to "STAY THE HELL OUT OF CONNECTICUT" to avoid arrest on some BS charge.

Maybe God is trying to tell me something. But I certainly encourage everybody else to go. The bigger the rally, the better for the CT struggle.

No need for rallies, the people have already spoken. It's time to prepare and get your house in order. We had rallies prior to the passing of the diktat and they turned their nose. the line has been drawn in the sand. Nuff said.

don't forget NY is in the SAME Boat folks:

The BIG Demonstration ... ( I dislike using "Rally" as if it were some kind of a G'dam party or something... hell THIS will be a DEMONSTRATION! )

ANYWAY,... The DEMONSTRATION will be TUESDAY April 1st. Noon to ?

Why Tuesday? Because that's WHEN the Politicians have to be in Albany in their offices or the Legislature that's why...

And we can GRAB their ATTENTION.

Funny. I don't see any of this reported in the Hartford Courant. Surely it was sent a copy.

"...the legislature has until May 7th, 2014 to completely repeal these immoral edicts..."

So, what happens on May 8th if the CT legislature doesn't repeal these laws (which they most likely will not)? What then, CCDL?

Mike,

No need to go. Your fish are running hot, straight, and true. Your time is better spent looking for new targets..

For the "People of Connecticut," it's time to shit or get off the pot.

State government will act, in true soviet fashion. AND it will not be reported, at least not the truth or facts. To do so would undermine what these people having been doing for years. They believe you are their property, their slaves and that they can do anything they want, any time because the media has their back.

The state has declared war against it's people. Believe them, and consider what you must do in such conditions. Right now you are ready targets and they will act sooner or later.

There is no constitution and bill of rights, anymore. There is only what you will make for yourselves.

Sounds bold, but nowhere did I read they were willing to defend victims of tyranny OUTSIDE of court. If the Founding Fathers had such an attitude we'd still be subjects of the crown.

Great letter! I commend the author.

Agreed the time for demonstrations and talk is over. Now it is the CT elected officials and their minions time to act. Mike has provided a playbook and list of players should a response be necessary.

"May you live in interesting times", I must admit I am very intrigued by how this thing has escalated. Goes to show that you just never know.

Well written piece, hats off to the author and I concur. I wonder what they will end up doing in all reality. They are in a difficult place and it is quite obvious that they have never been there before. I love it ..... and fear it, mostly because I know what will happen eventually, at least I think I know. I guess we really don't know do we.

If I could interject Connecticut .... looks like you have been chosen to be the first test of the resolve of "we the people". We are watching closely.... and we know that government serves us ...

Interesting...the tension around your potential participation at the April 5 rally in CT. I am but a lowly yet proud CCDL member. You owned the crowd last year and endeared yourself to us forever. If the Board has evidenced reticence toward your engagement this year, I think that it might derive from a strong sense of responsibility that we will feel toward securing your safety and freedom at the event. I suspect that you have raised the ire of the most evil Mike Lawlor and have further insulted the much beloved (by CT LEOs) Uncle Vance. So I anticipate lurking creeping badged shadows at the fringe of the crowd ready to move in at the sight of one grey AL gentleman rising toward the podium. Now that would be an interesting crowd dynamic...you, standing tall and proud with but an energized crowd of "wanna not be sheeple" open carrying cardboard and stainless separating you from a band of CT finest. A Hartford Statehouse Standoff if there ever was such a thing. I would like to be there. Bethlehem dreams.

Hi from Arizona... I have been following CT and I think as a nation there will be a catalyst event that is going to change everything... It could start in CT or it might be in Washington DC on May 16th... or it may be an unforseen event (California Mega-quake)... but we are past the point of no return, the domestic enemies have pushed us over that line ... they already believe we are their subjects/slaves.

They wont come to confiscate your guns without arresting you first. Be on guard, if you are outspoken, someone recognized who is resisting the unconstitutional law, then they might get you at your place of work, or at the gas station. First sign this happens to someone get people to make it know that arrests are occurring and hunker down at home.

We are dealing with DOMESTIC ENEMIES against the constitution and this nation, they are who we were warned about, they want nothing but more power.

You guys need to plan together, communicate (offline), take the batteries out of your mobile phones during these meetings and prepare. The government is going to try to make an example out of you.
