"Americans Don’t Deserve to Celebrate July 4th This Year."

Being an American demands certain things. It requires things. It demands vigilance and courage. It demands that we never forget, certainly—but even more, it demands that we do what it takes to keep it. We have failed, and our children and grandchildren will pay the ultimate price for our complacence if we do not change our course. It may even be too late already. This 4th of July, instead of cheering about the independence our countrymen once had the intestinal fortitude to actually fight for, think about what you’re going to do this year to get yours back.

Hear! Hear! For some unknown reason, this year feels drastically different for the 4th. It's almost like the level of the hypocrisy of what it means to celebrate "independence" and liberty under the yoke of police state tyranny has reached a crescendo that will not abate.

I left this comment on another news story out there and a fair number of people seemed to agree:

I no longer celebrate the 4th of July. We have let our founders down by allowing the Federal government to become corrupt and illegitimate. We now live as serfs under control of the Imperial Federal government as surely as our founders lived under control of king george.
We should all be ashamed. July the 4th should be a day of mourning or a day of anger.

Yeah...we've reached a tipping point. Perhaps there's more tipping points ahead?

Judging from Mark Dice videos, most young folks don't even know what date we declared independence. First thing I did this morning (7/4/15) was re-read the Dec. of Ind. just to reaffirm how similar our present condition is to the writers. At what point do we "declare" this tyranny no longer tolerable? .. I find the ignorant masses to be the bigger problem. They'll read the word "tyranny" and think it reads "tranny" and then argue that we should have more of it and declare it looks like a "goddess"..
