Yes, Connecticut’s “Turn In Your Assault Weapon” Letter Is Real

Tensions continue to rise in Connecticut, as the home addresses of the legislators who voted for the ban have been posted on numerous web sites and forums. Many of the legislators are now calling for police protective details, regarding the publication of their home addresses as a threat to their safety.

When the politicians fear the people there is liberty! They need to know there are severe consequences for tyranny and unconstitutional actions. Hey politicos...conduct yourselves accordingly!

I checked the legislative websites for all six New England states. I think it is instructive that the two states with the most repressive gun control - Massachusetts and Connecticut - are the only ones that don't publish the home addresses of the legislators.

The home addresses of legislators in ME, NH, RI, and VT are all online. I will acknowledge that some of the "home" addresses are PO Boxes and not street addresses. However, that seems to be the exception and not the rule.

The gun owners need to get together and in groups of 3 or 4, go visit your reps at home. Go unarmed, just a friendly visit to say high. That way they know just exactly where they stand. One of the best weapons we have is fear. Put the fear into these assholes.

Yes "Lucy Legislator", that sharp stick that just got rammed up your backside DOES HAVE A SHARP BARB on it so You CANNOT REMOVE IT. Your name and address is on THE LIST and it will NOT be removed. You asked for it and you got it, whether you like it or not. Either learn to live with the reaction to your stupidity or resign and go into hiding. Your choice.

Private Investigator in Virginia. They can't hide from me, and there are an Army of other PIs that can post their addresses at will. One public appearance, and they will be followed back home.

They are out of their minds if they think they can hide.

If legislators own property there are public records. It just takes a lot more searching.

First, thanks to bob for finally dropping "botched" from mentions of fast and furious. Second, a serious thanks to him for poking the pukes who keep playing the " is this really real?" card.

OF COURSE THIS IS REALLY REAL!"

Oh and I got a big kick out of the little claim that Connecticut officials are just trying to help people stay within the law. Ummm that's EXACTLY what MIKE IS DOING with his letters - trying to TEACH the supposed law MAKERS the boundaries within which they MUST operate because their authority is LIMITED.

IT IS NOW TIME for a Connecticut RESIDENT to repay Mike by matching his efforts - preferably a resident who is NOT a gun owner - to demonstrate objective status- to do a freedom of information act request regarding ALL conversation concerning mike, the letters and any correspond between any governance related agents about these developments.

I've been telling my countrymen for years that this is the proper path. When we petition out government in writing with our names signed and addressed - they are BOUND by that petition and they GOTTA answer in SOME way shape or form! Yes, often they choose dark ways to respond, hidden ways, but respond they must.

It's in us to force the shining light upon them by overwhelming their ability to hide what they are doing. Know this - Mijes letter alone is not causing all this hub bub - they fear mikes letters because of all the others they are getting, all the phone calls and all the emails. They fear what mike has told them BECAUSE the truth is being Bourne Out by the inescapable obviousness of the level of outrage.

The Connecticut LEO and their pathetic law MAKERS are in a serious pickle. And Chicken Kiev distraction ain't gonna get them outta this one.

Curious how tight a shoe you demand others' wear becomes when its on your foot ! It is increasingly apparent a great many tyrants use the anonymity of public office to exert their bias. And when that anonymity disappears they suddenly become very defensive.

Some stones were thrown and it appears a lot of dogs yelped, so we know who/what they hit. >Jeff

What does the U.S. Department of Justice have to say about this type of action?

http://www.justice.gov/crt/about/crm/242fin.php

Let us see whether that Federal law is enforced. In the meantime, I will not be holding my breath. After all, didn't AG Holder just recommend selective enforcement of law to state attorneys general? So much for oaths...

Great! I wouldn't want to think it was just another Internet story, put out there to make sure the price of .22LR and AR magazines stays high-

Has anyone who received a letter published it under their real name, shared it in some other confirmable way, put a scan online along with their personal information, talked to a blogger or mainstream reporter and put their name to the article?

I need some kind of proof of this for certain doubting folks.

And obviously, the state ALREADY knows who they are, where they live and what contraband they admitted to owning, so it shouldn't endanger them anymore than they are already?

I wonder if the police confiscators realize that if this goes hot, every gangbanger that hates cops will also be taking pot shots at them.
With their homes identified, they really are in a world of hurt not of their own making.

Commieticut residents: If you can snatch a few of the offenders (troopers/state employees/Democrat politicians) during a raid on a homeowner you can put them “on trial”. Let like-minded citizens who sympathize with our cause decide their fate for violating the Constitution & Bill of Rights.

As what may occur in CT......Given the attitude of SWAT....'Dead men tell no tales'.....seems more likely an end result...IF you do not take a stand...years later and broke or still in jail....what have you done to YOUR liberty and freedom....as was not mentioned in this article...the toll for the 'enforcers' after many NON Compliance SWAT entries will be very high and politically 'deadly'...as it will be for the 'enforcers' masters......allowing carnage INSIDE your home is not American in any way shape or form...so either we are Americans or we are slaves..the choice unfortunately will be OURS 'alone'....imho.........Semper Fi
