Oath Keepers to help with Bundy protest.

Folks,
Sorry for the late start this morning. I was up quite late last night, speaking with a number of people very familiar with the situation on the ground at the Bundy Ranch in Nevada, including Stewart Rhodes. Oath Keepers is marshaling support and the following email explains what they are about and gives some instructions for folks attending the protest. They were forwarded to me with the comment: "I just got them in an email from Stewart. Feel free to share as you like. There should be a formal call to action and press release later today."
Oath Keepers,
We need a presence there immediately to help prevent the feds sparking another Ruby Ridge or Waco incident in the Bundy stand-off.
Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhJ6H9vlEDA&feature=youtu.be.
Nevada State Rep. Michele Fiore . . . is on site right now at the protest site outside the Bundy ranch, and she is helping us assemble a coalition of Nevada state legislators. We are also working with WA State Rep Matt Shea to put together a delegation of other Western State Representatives to go there to support Rep. Fiore and her coalition, and we are working with Sheriff Mack to bring a delegation of current serving CSPOA Sheriffs to stand vigil there. We need Oath Keepers to also show up and stand vigil and support this family and the patriot legislators and sheriffs who are taking the lead in defending them. This is critical. The goal is to stand vigil to prevent another Waco or Ruby Ridge, and to put pressure on the Nevada Governor to honor the oath he took by standing up for this family and for the state of Nevada.
I fly to Vegas tomorrow. Sheriff Mack is coming too, along with the current serving Sheriffs he is rallying to the cause.
All who can make it, need to be there. We need numbers - boots on the ground. The more the better. For those who are coming, please rally at the public protest site near the ranch in Bunkerville, Nevada. To get there, take I-15 North, toward Mesquite, and get off at exit 112. Go right two miles (you can only go right). You will see tall flag poles and signs. Can't miss it.
Per Ammon Bundy, here are some rules:
First, NO MILITARY CAMMO. This is a protest by rural Americans. Dress accordingly. (from me: Oath Keepers can wear Oath Keepers polos if you have them, or OK T shirts, but please no cammo. Let's respect the Bundy family request).
No open carry of rifles. Any rifles people may have with them need to stay in the vehicles. When you arrive at the protest rally point, ask for Ammon Bundy, Cliven Bundy's son, to check in. If he is not there, he will have designated another family rep for you to check in with. DO NOT go past that first rally point/protest site with the flags that the family has set up on private land. Beyond that is the road to their ranch, and no one is to drive to the ranch without express permission and escort by Cliven Bundy or his sons. Please respect their need for security and privacy.
No volunteer is to give any media interviews. Refer all media first and foremost to the Bundy family members present, in particular Cliven Bundy, Ammon, or one of the other sons. And/or refer them to one of the current serving Nevada State legislators who will be there, such as Michele Fiore (she is gathering a coalition of Nevada representatives), or one of the current serving Sheriff's who will be coming. We are there to support them, and let them handle the media.
If any media ask to interview Oath Keepers, please refer them to me, but I will likely just refer them to the family until we do a press conference once Sheriff Mack arrives - and even then, the focus will be on the coalition of current serving Western State Legislators and Sheriffs that we are helping to gather. They and the family will be the main effort, and we are there as support.
BRING CAMERAS. Film everything. The more cameras, the better.
Bring relevant signs about honoring the oath, respecting property rights and free speech rights. We are there to stand up for rural Americans who are under attack and to pressure the Governor and the Clark County Sheriff to do their duty.
Ammon said volunteers can camp on private property that is on the side of the road at the main protest site the family has set up (the first gathering place you will come to with signs and flags once you get off I-15 at exit 112 and go about two miles). Again, please ask the family members present where to park and where to camp if you want to camp.
Stewart

Seems very strange that Oath Keepers doesn't want rifles after saying they were "going operational" and all. Can you imagine if the colonists at Lexington met on the green without their rifles? What's the point? If all they are going to do is stand around yelling at the thugs and taking pictures, guess what? The thugs will just continue rounding up Bundy cattle and clear them off the land. Which was what they set out to do.

Hope the Nevada militia has better sense.

I am sick to death of protest "organizers" telling people what they can and cannot WEAR!

Folks, this is EXACTLY why our side always LOSES!
Our arms are literally tied behind our backs! Some arbitrary rules that the enemy NEVER follows serves ONLY them while harming us. It's like forcing all crosses out of sight and women wearing headscarves so as not to "offend" Muslims sensibilities.

Take a good look - we bitch moan and whine about being disarmed yet the "leaders" of "our" side START OFF with instant disarmament! It instantly leads to "instructions" not to wear CLOTHING that MIGHT give the impression of armament.

Nowadays, I disregard these moves as attempt to BE the very thing we oppose (supposedly) - controllers.

Someone calls out for support for a cause but wants to "instruct" what to wear? Sigh. They are just another controller in my eyes.

It's time we take off the kid gloves, stop bowing down like Muslims answering the call to prayer and stand together exercising the rights we CLAIM to be defending. As for bearing arms, that isn't what will start the shooting - gubmint will shoot first regardless. The only difference is that when they do there will either be folks defending themselves or there will be a one sided slaughter.

It's almost like a slaughter of that nature is being set up as a media hype. No thanks! I'm not willing to be set up like a target in a shooting gallery.

I suggest that our side stop being such chicken shits. Of course I'm NOT saying show up and brandish arms toward others, but arms being simply present ISNT unlawful or threatening! Time to pick a side. Exercise the right or shut the fuck up about how oppressed you are. Stop trying to have it both ways.

Besides, what better way to force media to spotlight this? Minutemen gathered - ARMED- along out southern border and this gathering ought be no different.

Some will no doubt disagree. I respect that BUT at the same time I point out the utter FAILURE of the path we have been on with these idiotic self restraining "rules" that only aid the forces of tyranny. I ask, what is that definition of insanity again? Oh yeah, doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result....

Time to try something new....

Just saw a spot on fixed news about this. A main point was "worry" about all the "armed" people around. William lajunesse presented "government is right" attitude and left out important aspects that tell more of the story. Sad reporting by him but I suspect his superiors won't allow straight truth. He said grazing fees simply haven't been paid in amounts of over a million.

With fixed news totally in the tank for fed gov, there is no hope outside internet. Either an armed stand is made here and now or folks ought to just go home. Government that is to prosecute cattle rustlers is now itself the cattle rustler. The choice is simple - either we the people allow it to continue or we stand up and stop it.

Time to choose.

On my way from Pa. Bringing 20 cases of "liberated" water & a pallet of Dorito type snacks. Hey, ya get what falls off the truck! Thanks to the locking storage area under the rear seat of my truck I can travel legally armed. But I'm hoping/praying cameras are all that is needed to accomplish our goal.
I don't want to die for another mans cows 2500 miles away, but it is far more than that NOW, & not of our doing!

I just dent an email to Gov. Brian Sandoval(R), urging him to call out the state police and any other forces under his control to defend the Bundy family, their assets and the protesters against any violent and destructive actions of the tyrannical BLM, thereby preventing another "Waco". I told him that a desert tortoise is not worth this kind of conflict. You can email Sandoval by going to www.gov.nv.gov and selecting "contact". Flood him with emails

Now if it's the Bundy family request is it Oath Keepers' fault?

last year the government killed hundreds or more of these very tortoises due to fuding (google it to find news on it) why didn't they just let them go in the desert?

yet now these same tortoises are worth 3 million dollars + in tax dollars in enforcement over cow grazing that has coexisted with the same tortoises since the 1800's?

the liberals make no sense - just like they want to spend 1 billion + of our tax dollars to ban all guns to "save just one child" while they shovel millions of tax dollars to abortion that kills millions each year?

i guess it only matters to them as long as it suits their current agenda.

Statement from Shirlee Bundy-
"I have had people ask me to explain my dad's stance on this BLM fight. Here it is in as simple of terms as I can explain it. There is so much to it, but here it s in a nut shell. My great grandpa bought the rights to the Bunkerville allotment back in 1887 around there. Then he sold them to my grandpa who then turned them over to my dad in 1972. These men bought and paid for their rights to the range and also built waters, fences and roads to assure the survival of their cattle, all with their own money, not with tax dollars. These rights to the land use is called preemptive rights. Some where down the line, to keep the cows from over grazing, came the bureau of land management. They were supposed to assist the ranchers in the management of their ranges while the ranchers paid a yearly allotment which was to be use to pay the BLM wages and to help with repaires and improvements of the ranches. My dad did pay his grazing fees for years to the BLM until they were no longer using his fees to help him and to improve. Instead they began using these money's against the ranchers. They bought all the rest of the ranchers in the area out with they're own grazing fees. When they offered to buy my dad out for a penence he said no thanks and then fired them because they weren't doing their job. He quit paying the BLM but, tried giving his grazing fees to the county, which they turned down. So my dad just went on running his ranch and making his own improvements with his own equipment and his own money, not taxes. In essence the BLM was managing my dad out of business. Well when buying him out didn't work, they used the indangered species card. You've already heard about the desert tortis. Well that didn't work either, so then began the threats and the court orders, which my dad has proven to be unlawful for all these years. Now their desperate. It's come down to buying the brand inspector off and threatening the County Sheriff. Everything their doing at this point is illegal and totally against the constitution of the United States of America. Now you may be saying," how sad, but what does this have to do with me?" Well, I'll tell you. They will get rid of Cliven Bundy, the last man standing on the Bunkerville allotment and then they will close all the roads so no one can ever go on it again. Next, it's Utah's turn. Mark my words, Utah is next. Then there's the issue of the cattle that are at this moment being stolen. See even if dad hasn't paid them, those cattle do belong to him. Regardless where they are they are my fathers property. His herd has been part of that range for over a hundred years, long before the BLM even exsisted. Now the Feds think they can just come in and remove them and sell them without a legal brand inspection or without my dad's signature on it. They think they can take them over two boarders, which is illegal, ask any trucker. Then they plan to take them to the Richfeild Aucion and sell them. All with our tax money. They have paid off the contract cowboys and the auction owner as well as the Nevada brand inspector with our tax dollars. See how slick they are? Well, this is it in a nut shell. Thanks"

I have finally been able to contact Cattoor Livestock Roundup (they hadn't responded to my email for two days), and they deny participation or a contract with BLM for what is going on at the Bundy's VR Ranch.
They did confirm that Shayne Sampson and Cameron Warner did get the contract, though they don't know the name of the company that they contracted under (the government doesn't sign contracts with individuals).
Please, do not bother Cattoor, as they are not the Rustlers.
And, I apologize for my error in naming them.

Same as it was 200+ years ago, the resistance could not have been victorious without public support. If this thing escalates it will hit the national news and the public will consciously or unconsciously choose sides. Will the public find camo-wearing guys to be appealing or will they be biased against that kind of stereotype? Is it possible they might better relate to and support a resistance group made up of average Joe's wearing jeans? Just saying, there may be reasons behind the request to avoid camo and we shouldn't become so offended or defensive by the request.

As for the firearms bit, the BLM showed up with 200 armed agents in order to be taken seriously. The resistance must do the same if they want to be taken seriously. No one wants bloodshed, but neither do we want to see government slaughter defenseless people.

Anonymous said...

Said it in the other thread....this isn't the Oath Keepers request...it's the family's. While I respect their right to request it IF someone were protesting on the Bundy's property...PUBLIC property is another story entirely. Like many of you....I'm not showing up to be a defenseless duck in a shooting gallery. No, if I go, it will be armed-openly.

When the Bundys decide it's actually serious....I'm betting they'll change their tunes about protestors with guns. Hopefully, for their sake, it won't be too late by that point.

PLAN A: Hey, FEDS! There are an unknown number of rifles held by an unknown percentage of expert riflemen, and they are just aching to cut you down from unbelievably long ranges from clean out of sight.

PLAN B: Hey, FEDS! There are bunches of people here who want you to drive by and hear them yell and see their neat protest signs..

PLAN C: Hey, FEDS! There are bunches of people all over the nation who might get out in November and vote against the Congresscritters who don't take action about what you are doing.

PLAN D Hey, Congresscritters! Your hired guns are preparing to murder Mr. and Mrs. Bundy, on national television. Is this what you want?

PLAN E: Other. (Specify) ____________________________________________________________________________________

This may have started over the Bundys but this is just another part of the war against us all. It is Stewart Rhodes that's saying not to wear your rifles - I guess he doesn't want anything to interfere with his "after party." Well guess what, this isn't a party for Stewart, it's a battle for our liberty, property and lives - as well as that of our children.

Our country is at stake damn it!

This is serious and it's about time Stewart took it that way. This isn't a fund raiser for Oath Keepers. Either show up armed and ready or don't bother to show up at all, because nothing is going to happen to secure our freedom unless we make it happen and stand ready to kill for our country, our rights and our future.

It's time to quit fucking around.

Shawn McEwen said...

If I may, I'd like to offer a couple of differing points.

#1, The Bundys are no doubt scared shitless of what could happen here. You folks are worried about another Waco or Ruby ridge?? Excuse my English here but for fuck's sake they ARE another Waco or Ruby ridge!!! It's little wonder they are trying to lay ground rules to keep this from escalating, because escalation on the part of either side pretty much assures death for every family member involved. I don't like rules or limitations any more than the next man, but this is something to think about.

#2, The other side of that argument is that when you open up the flood gates you really can't tell the water where to go. To control a protest to suit a single desire is not a protest at all. The Bundys are going to have a hard time with this, but they have to trust the outcome here. It's a huge leap of faith, but one that must be made. If the Bureau of Liberal Mentalities knows that this protest is lead by a small group, all they need to do is defeat that group. If the protest is just a large group of individuals, all must be defeated... which is much more difficult.

#3, I don't understand what the upset is over no cammo. If I were going to an event like this I would be clean shaven, dressed in the most disarming sheeple manner I could, all the while hiding the fact that the business end of my resolve lay no more than a few yards away. It's Sun Tsu: when you are strong appear weak. If you folks are angry at someone asking you to do something that you should at least be contemplating anyway (even if the asking is for a different reason), I say get over it. It's not the reason that matters here, only the goal, which is to appear as something you are not. If this is going to get messy it will be so regardless of how people are dressed. It will be because someone else would accept no other outcome.

As always, I could be totally crazy here... wouldn't be the first time. This is just my take. On a parting note: try to understand that the family is freaking the hell out here. Also this will probably be a long process, so pace yourselves.

God Bless.
~Shawn

For those attending the "protest":
please be cognizant of your tactics....they've been planning theirs for some time.
The more that attend, the higher the probability this gets out of control.
Be prepared to disperse to defensive positions.
They will reinforce quickly by air.

Man there are some naive comments in here, sadly reflective of the general failure of the "patriot" POV.

No Camo: Anonymous, I hate to tell you this, but normal people look at cammo wearers like they have two heads. Maybe you mean it as a symbol of potency, of latent power about to go kinetic. But that is not what your neighbors will see. They will see yahoo rednecks with guns. I don't care if you like that - it's what it is. Like it -- or lump it.

2nd Anonymous: Armed stand. Oh yeah, sure. Go shoot into a crowd of 200 fed goons with thousands on stand-by, in the middle of a desert without food, water, escape ... you go, girl!

In case you haven't noticed, the feds are trying to bluff us into submission. There is no need to go all "Hal from Bergen County" on us, capiche? This is a battle of IDEAS and PERSONAL CHARACTER.

3rd Anonymous: Rhodes is naive about the local sheriff. What a dufus. Rhodes is setting him up for a public humiliation by acting like a slave to the BLM, doing as he's told, doing the Fed's best Step'n'Fetch It act.

Do certain of you people actually think about things? Do you react like this in your day-to-day life? How can you do it and stay out of prison?

Or maybe you believe in throwing away your life in a useless gesture of futility. Or maybe you're paid to say so.

Whatever.

Use your God-given brains in either case, will you?

Voice - self imposed dress code IS submission.

And they CONNED you into believing it's not.

Disarming yourself is also a submission, again self imposed.

With "friends" like that....

Open your eyes to see that before you even start, the gubmint already has two strikes on you. And you honestly think you aren't going to strike out - when the umpire is a employee of the team you are facing?

And to tell ME to use my brain?
Step up to a mirror - when yer done bowing, that is. Or maybe you might just to check and see if you are up to snuff in the attire department.

Yer drinking kool aid homeboy if you think attire changes how media or low information voters will view this situation. Know this - these attire demands are alienating more supporters to the tune of turning away more than any number of LIV you hope to recruit. Indeed it's ONE OF the things folks are fed up WITH!

Ironic it is how many miss the hypocrisy of being told what to wear and not to wear to a LIBERTY PROTEST. Sheesh. It really is a sharp point simply LOST on some with closed eyes and covered ears.

Hilariously, a good deal of the. "Target Audience" wears their pants around their KNEES with indeed showing. Next we will be told to wear a belt and make sure our pants are pulled up all the way. Let me know how that dress code works out for ya. Oh wait we already know - why are tea party gatherings and efforts like this mostly white?

Answer- a skewed sense of what LIBERTY actually means and an utter lack of respect for it when it comes to another exercising it differently than some think "proper".

You assume an armed stand means to fire first. Wrong! You also assume they would do so without having plans for food, water, and escape. Wrong again!

The redcoats would not have stopped if the colonials showed up in Lexington without arms. Think man, think!!

Question......if the Feds are wearing camo we know who they are....if there is a gathering of people you dont know and they, too have camo on....how are you gonna know the good guys from the bad guys when the bullets start flying....the request to not wear camo may have deeper roots
Keeping your guns in your vehicle INCASE THEY ARE NEEDED is the same way....they Feds wont have a clue who has them or how many....lets keep the goal in mind and be respectful of the Bundy's wishes.

Just remember how ED BROWN was arrested. Feds had planted several "supporters" within the group at the beginning of the siege. The undercover agents built trust amongst the rest of the supporters. When the opportunity arrived, ED brown was arrested inside of his house by a undercover federal officer. Several "supporters" then let the cat out of the bag by exposing themselves as federal agents during the arrest. Several other supported were also arrested at this time and had their home raided while in incarcerated. There was nothing anybody could do but watch... (Ed brown also called for a peaceful demonstration and no firearm to be carried.)

People need to look at history for a moment..We do not know what the outcome will be..just as the men at Lexington and Concord didn't know what was going to happen that night back in 1775. The first revolution didn't start over night and ot took many years for it to "kick off"..this could be it and at the same time it may not be.

This is about private property..for the family to lay down THEIR "law of the land", should not offend anyone..if anything people should see it as being respectful. Wouldn't you want other's to respect your wishes in your castle?

And in closing..without support of the people this os over before it get's started. The people of this country need to get a feeling of "this could be me".

Pack your "tacticool" stuff just in case..most impprtantly be respectful of the family...their livlihood and home is crumbling.
