ABC News:Nevada Cattle Rancher Wins 'Range War' With Feds.

Does anyone else think ABC could print this headline without orders?

I suspect this is a tactical retreat designed to clear the decks for a sudden storm or meteorite, aka drone strike. Got to get those pesky cameras away, you know. Still a no fly zone, BTW.

Keep you powder dry.

The freedom loving folks responded when called....even though it was in the desert. If the JBTs start something and it spreads nationwide, it will be over before it gets started. The people have had it up to their eyeballs and are no no mood to put up with more schidt from the gubmint. The sleeping giant has awakened.

We in the south understand the lowly fire ant. Stomp on his mound and you will regret it.

I suspected he was on counter sniper duty, since he wasn't in uniform.

I don't know if there is anything to this or not but....

"At 1750 hours ET, I was contacted by my source within the Department of Homeland Security regarding the current situation at the Bundy Ranch. To put it bluntly, the people are being hoodwinked into believing that the situation is being resolved. It is not. It is a strategic de-escalation to fool the public. This source stated that the retreat of the BLM agents and the release of the cattle was actually crafted as a potential plan yesterday (Friday, 11 April 2014) based on the following:

1. A military assessment of satellite and drone surveillance imagery of the “patriot resistance. Drones under the control of the U.S. military were in use, taking real-time photographic images of not just the activity at the ranch, but "identifying the protesters, any arms and any supplies they might have or be carrying. “Mission accomplished.”
2. Real-time communication intercepts between patriots on-site and their off-site support;
3. Active monitoring of internet traffic regarding the coverage of events at ranch;
4. The monitoring of real-time video from the scene."

More at the link.

My own thought is that anyone that was a supporter of Bundy was already on some watch list long before this happened.

Interesting huh? The EXACT thing so many "NRA" folks and even Bundy himself "advised" against is what forced government thugs to back off! (I think Bundy "advised" as he did in order to avoid liability for actions taken that are obviously beyond his control.)

What forced gubmint to stand down here? EXERCISE OF THE SECOND AMENDMENT BY JOE SIX PACK!!!

Notice, at least so far, no Citizen had to SHOOT their firearms. All it took was open presence OF them. Ironic isn't it? Open display of arms by the GOOD GUYS send CRIMINAL THUGS running away from their intended and ongoing CRIMES.

Mike,I understand your "old school" attitude about "moral high ground" and such but we have to understand that moral high ground means nothing to those we face. That is then used against us and they just laugh at us because we "shoot ourselves in the foot" by cowing to dress codes and leaving arms out of sight.

True it is care must be taken regarding MOLES planted to do stupid shit to harm "our" side but it's past time to stop being scared of that. That danger will ALWAYS be present and we just have to defend against it one example at a time (think tea party and racist signage - those folks were handily ousted when planted from every gathering by the rest of attendees).

The BEST defense of rights is exercise of them. From speech to arms to property, fearless adherence to open diverse exercise and dedication to ACCEPTING our differing ways and means of doing doing so morally is he high ground we should be striving for.

From "pants on the ground" to open carry and from camo to concealed carry, "resist we much" to being relegated to older white men and women in business casual dress - unarmed- making media able to play race and class cards upon us. It's time WE TRUST in our CREATOR, in that the rights endowed upon us are PROPER to exercise, at our own individual liberty, regardless of what naysayers complain about.

We must accept that diversity in exercise is proper and that hamstringing it is improper. It might be a hard evolution but the stakes have been raised high enough to justify ending the "mr nice guy" angle.

Nutshelled - they ARE pointing their arms at us. They ARE stealing what belongs to us. They ARE assaulting our rights at every turn. It IS our duty to defend ourselves our kin and our liberty. We will never be successful when first concerned with what people wear and do not wear. It's time to focus on what is done, actually done.

Contrary to what so many think, gubmint FEARS another Waco or another ruby ridge because they KNOW the internet today will not allow cover ups like before. They KNOW there will not be another freebee.

Armed resistance is the path set out for us. It's time we follow that path.

If this was a federal Court order, why wasn't this a Marshal Service action? Strange.

Greetings, and God bless.

Can anyone tell me what the guy in the photo is using for sights on that rifle? Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't tell by looking at this picture, or the larger version in the linked article.

Thanks

This is stupid. That is a serious crime called "brandishing a weapon" . If it's pointed at a person, it's assault, and lethal force in response would be justified.

This moron gave his name to the media, too. Stupid douchebag.

I'm in sympathy with the Bundys and the Second Amendment activists, but if you're going to take part in stuff like this, leave the gun in its holster or on a sling and don't touch its action unless fired upon.

Reading the comments on Twitter and under assorted news stories it appears that the liberals and Loyalists really are chapped by the Bundy's still being alive.

You gotta be shitting me .... overwatch with an AK with iron sights??? What was he gonna do, scare them cause there is no (what I would call) precision fire coming from that distance with the types of sights on a AK.

It's not the snipers that everyone can see that are a problem, it's the sniper that nobody can see what will ruin your whole week. ;)

Don't know just how credible the post referring to the Bundy Ranch situation is, but I thought you might be interested.

Regardless of how close it got, I am glad that someone pointed a barrel back at those BLM retards.

Well Anonymous at April 13, 2014 at 11:26 AM, your pig buddies were ALSO "brandishing weapons". Goose, meet gander! The filthy swill had better understand that, since they have ALREADY set the Rules of Engagement, same will be coming right back at them. If that gentlemen is bothered by ANY "Law Enforcement" agent in this country, I'll be glad to do my part to make them and theirs regret same.

Mark Matis said...

Well said, Kristophr!

And by the way, the DoJ has been telling "Law Enforcement" agencies across the country for several years now that photography of "Law Enforcement" in action is a protected activity under the 1st Amendment. I wonder how long it will be until the DoJ prosecutes the BLM FedPigs for their treason???

Our side needs a data base of all those who participated in the 'Battle of Bunker Ville' so we can keep track of how many get audited, die of cerebral hemorrhages, drive-by shootings, etc.
I can't believe there will be no
'payback.'
Strictly volunteer on the data base of course.

Why are there more people with cameras than with rifles?

Of COURSE it's "not over".

Liberty requires eternal vigilance.

The part that bothers me is the camera-toting yokel to patriot ratio appears to be 6:1.

When the shooting starts, these idiots are collateral damage. Pick up a gun or GTFO the way.

Agree with you in terms of what I've seen in pictures. However, according to people who were there, 80% were armed.

I also saw stats saying 6-800 protestors were there to get the cattle freed from under the overpass and 500 were armed...though I didn't see that in the pics posted of those closest to the corrals.

Dakota - check out page 2 of the thread on the AK forum. Apparently the guy is running an upgraded peep rear sight. Someone estimated the range at ~150 yards, and that rifle looks to be 5.45 or 5.56 - hits with irons at that range shouldn't be an issue.
