All I can tell you is that if some thug counts on this as a victim disarmament zone when I'm coming out of the john at 2 o'clock in the morning he's going to be one surprised thug.

Legal or Illegal, I don't care. Who's going to stop me? One of those unenforceable feel-good do-nothing laws that everyone acknowledges, but no one with more then one brain cell to rub together actually obeys.

And besides, as I have learned in a few places in my life, "the only true weapon is the mind. everything else is just a tool".
So, does that mean that I should make myself zombie-proof, and leave my brains at home?

And I know this is on I-65 southbound lane just after entering Alabama, has a Mercury rocket there and a memorial to Veterans lost in combat. I get the irony.

Such signs look much better with a few bullet holes in them.

It's funny how a bunch of guys can get together for civil disobedience regarding open carry, but nobody will get together to protest illegal checkpoints.

This is why crooked politicians call this an "exceptional" nation. Laws are full of "exceptions" making them useless as tits on a boar. (Reference to the pets sign".

As for the "sensitive place" thing applying to rest stops - well- overreach by banners is one way their own arrogance defeats them.

Looks to me like that thing's pretty easy to remove. Just two bolts and Presto! A free target for your local range.

Is there a nail to hang your pistol on right there?

To make it easier for felons to abscond with it while not under your immeadiate control - of course!

Leave it in the vehicle, you say?
Once again unattended and easily stolen.

They need paid guards right there to secure all those guns while people piss and shit ...

It is interesting that Alabama differentiates "weapons", "deadly weapons" and "deadly instruments". That "No Weapons Allowed..." may be sufficiently vague to be unenforceable.
