Elmer Fudd gets motivated on M855; Daily Kollectivist blames NRA pimping for ammo companies.

Elmer Fudd finds out about the M855 ban proposal.
Lawmakers won't be silenced over Obama administration's proposed ammo ban
Meanwhile the Daily Kollectivist gets upset: Law enforcement pushes ATF to ban armor-piercing bullet; NRA stokes paranoia and fear to boost sales.
I stopped by a couple of firearm emporiums today looking (unsuccessfully) for 7mm Mauser ammo and reloading components for .38 and .357s (also unsuccessfully) and noticed that the 5.56 was flying off the shelves at a prodigious rate. I asked one fellow who was buying the last case in one shop what kind of rifle he had. He told me, "We'll, I don't have one yet but I want the ammo for when I do." Yup, they've managed to scare the Fudds with this one.

I have a lot of trouble with people who hoard so they can cash in later. The most severe are the 22 LR hoarders who wait for Walmart to get in 22 LR and then go buy another 1000 rounds to add to the 500,000 that they already have. Of course their inventory is probably getting low after jacking the price up on Gunbroker to quadruple their profit. They play right into the hands of the "Collectivists" by screwing us all.

So thanks to all the hoarders who added another 5000 5.56 to the already 100,000 you already have.

Once they clear out the M885 (assuming ATF goes ahead with this) then people will start buying case lots of every other available 5.56 ammo. Not a bad result! The more ammo in the hands of the people, the worse off the ruling class is. After all, the typical Fudd with a hunting rifle and 10 cartridges, is not much of a concern for them...

Mike, can that 7mm Mauser take a new barrel in a similar caliber (.308, 30-06, 223) or some other more popular size? It is a shame to find that the right ammo is hard to find. I know that with my OLD AR-15 that when push comes to shove, the opposition will be bring me lots of extra ammo.

Dumba**es showing up exceptionally late to the party. Anyone who didn't see this coming and hasn't "armed up" already is just plain stupid. Don't have the cash? Did you not have any money for the past 21 years?

Clinton's 1994 "Crime Bill" should've been the wake up call. If you were awake, you would have a large store of ammo for your battle rifles and the components and ability to produce many times more. It doesn't take a genius to see the handwriting that's been on the wall for decades.

You show up late to the party, you get the ugly chick, but hey, better to go home with the fat chick (any gun & ammo), than go home alone. Get the hint and get something before it's too late, but don't patronize gougers.

Hey Anon 12:05 AM - I hear you loud and clear on that! If someone hasn't seen this guy coming then you must be walking with a white cane or seeing-eye dog...Having never been a "Fudd" I don't know their mentality, but if waiting 'till after an emergency to stock up on goods is their idea of being prepared then there's no room in my foxhole for them...

Matt, missed it when you were 8? I can see it, but 21 years has passed since the "Crime Bill" of 1994, so that'd make you 29. Therefore, no excuse. I am the original poster, sorry for using anon, I just was in a hurry. I went into the military at 19 and knew better within a year or so, and was fully "aware" by my EAOS at 24, after a five year hitch (extended for a year while serving overseas. Waco happened in '93, Ruby Ridge before that and OKC. In 1995. Plenty of time to wake up. Guys almost 30 cannot play the "I am not old enough to know". Sorry, but it is a piss poor excuse....ignorance, that is. Don't mean to be harsh, but I am too old to tip toe around. My son is a USMC 1st Lt and he is younger than you and has known better for a long time. If you are 16 or older and do not know better, either you or your parents failed. Sorry, no actually I am not. We need enlightened men.

G3Ken; you forgot to mention that the hyper- overdrive anti-gun nonsense really came about during the last 6 years ; during Obama's reign of terror. Six years is more than enough time to put an arsenal together, let alone stocking up on some ammo....And what age group was this Leninist s' biggest supports?..Hmm....
