Conditioning.
Getting the population to accept outrageous acts as "normal" and "harmless".
A lot of people said the same thing about Y2K: that it was a "false alarm" and then mocked and ridiculed everyone who had any concern over it and/or took steps to prepare. Was it a false alarm or did the attention it received actually work in making it benign?
Not sure, Mike, why you mock Jones? Yes, he is a bit sensationalist, but I haven't heard him say anything that was outright false. What I do often hear is you and him covering the same issues or events. That's when I know I REALLY need to pay attention.
Did anyone stop to think for a minute that maybe the reason none of these things happened or took place was because some well-meaning, paranoid, cynical folks put forth such apocalyptic scenarios? I am not a fan of Mr. Jones, but these accusations against the FEDGOV did not come out of thin air. Does anyone remember Ruby Ridge? How about Waco? How about Bundy Ranch? How about Federal funding for a bunch of feminist ghouls who sell the body parts of aborted innocent American citizens? The list goes on.
We are a family united against the encroachment of a Godless, evil, ever-growing, evermore-controlling government at all levels of our society and culture. And even though our family is very dysfunctional(Alex Jones, Before Its News, etc.), I would much rather have these "crazy uncles and aunts" calling out the Leviathan at every turn, than the criminal frauds that make up the MSM in statist Amerika.
Or did it? Could have they changed their plans after being outed?
"Not sure, Mike, why you mock Jones? Yes, he is a bit sensationalist, but I haven't heard him say anything that was outright false."
Try this one on for size. In 2010, he went on his radio/video show and denounced me as a federal provocateur. Friends, including Stewart Rhodes, confronted him about it. He stuck by his story. I confronted him about it to his face when we were both at the Alamo for the open carry defiance in San Antonio. I demanded an apology to be delivered in just as public a forum as that which he had slandered me. He weaseled and said he would. He didn't, the gutless wonder. He also hypes everything -- literally EVERYTHING -- as a potential "false flag." He is dishonest, intellectually sloppy and does the other side more favors and our side more damage by his purveying obvious disinformation and rumor mongering that discredit us with people who would otherwise side with us. I mean, other than that, I'm sure he likes children and small dogs.
Here is the thing about people like Alex jones. They are more than happy to alienate those they view as competition but when SHTF he will be the first to beg for forgiveness and protection.
Mike, have ya seen dawn of the planet of the apes? If not, watch it with Rosie. Great movie on a number of fronts. I am betting it would force a long original piece past your black dog affliction! But aside from that, when you watch it, take particular note of the character called "koba". Koba and Alex are ummm two peas in a pod. Many will agree...
Sounds to me like you have a personal issue with Alex Jones.
Fine, but don't let it get in the way of our (all of us) common goal of liberty. The other side will divide us any way they can.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend." As another writer said, the two of you often cover the same stories, and in fact, it's the two of you to whom I look first, to find out what latest government treason is going on. Besides, just because you're paranoid does not mean they aren't really out to get you. I'll take Alex over the MSM any day.
Someone way smarter than you or I once said, "Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty". Then some other ass clown said, "Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined."
While I may not have thought Jade Helm was going to be a run at Martial Law....it was wise to be cautious, inquisitive and watchful on the matter. Because as Madison said, "In time of actual war, great discretionary powers are constantly given to the Executive Magistrate. Constant apprehension of War, has the same tendency to render the head too large for the body. A standing military force, with an overgrown Executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defence against foreign danger have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Among the Romans it was a standing maxim to excite a war, whenever a revolt was apprehended. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people."
He further went on to state, "Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded, because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes; and armies, and debts, and taxes are the known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. In war, too, the discretionary power of the Executive is extended; its influence in dealing out offices, honors, and emoluments is multiplied: and all the means of seducing the minds, are added to those of subduing the force, of the people. The same malignant aspect in republicanism may be traced in the inequality of fortunes, and the opportunities of fraud, growing out of a state of war, and in the degeneracy of manners and of morals, engendered by both. No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare."
I've suspected the true motives of Jones since I heard him laugh at a caller who with fear in his voice had asked Jones what to do, as Jones had just laid out one of his typical spiracy theories that apparently touched the caller emotionally. ever since then I've listened to him as to an enemy rather than a friend. Then i found this;

I suspect his shows are scripted by others above him in the coc, and his job is to try to get listeners to do stupid things in response to the nwo spiracy of the day. Such as when Waco was ongoing he asked for people to come and save the Davidians or some similar bs.
As to everything being a false flag, considering Washington DC has the most advanced police state surveillance society on earth, he may be right as "they" are watching everything and listening to/spying on all of us so they know what is going down pretty much everywhere, but I don't think Jones is a friend of patriotic Americans.
So, Josh -- you don't think the outcome for the Davidians could have been different had people actually come out and set up a perimeter around the Feds?
One underplayed observation of the Davidian siege is this: if you're gonna have a "compound," you better have your own comms. If you're gonna have to fight the feds, you might want to have comm capability that reaches the public airwaves. Yeah, the FM band. Far better than a painted sheet reading, "God help us, we want the press."
I still do not see the need for such exercises. Military running around our countryside?
Wasn't Alex Jones thrown out of the Militia Movement during the 90s for trying to co-opt it?
Hey! It even comes with its own t-shirt. http://www.gruntstyle.com/jade-helm.html
50% off too.
"So, Josh -- you don't think the outcome for the Davidians could have been different had people actually come out and set up a perimeter around the Feds?"
Not really. The fedz at that time weren't scared of Americans, today they are much more concerned and selective with who they roll over. Also, if Koresh was any kind of man he would have lead all those kids out of there himself. There were a zillion aryans at Ruby Ridge messing with the fedz and that didn't change anything. Well, I take that back, the fedz were going to drop a fuel bladder onto the cabin and roast everyone but the aryans let the fedz know they saw what was going down.
Just my take on it.
