The professor in charge of this little experimentation airily dismisses the moral questions and dilemmas obviously present, being what humans are, and do, and are capable of, as not being either an impediment, or a problem. Anybody notice that as soon as the NSA became capable of snooping on all Americans phone conversations, they lunged for it and DID it, moral, legal, and any other considerations being swept aside? Even though NO ONE WANTS that crap? They just continue to do it, and fuck you, that's why. This is like the ultimate Terminator nightmare, and this time, no bullshit. This is no small thing, to restore a republic after it has fallen into corruption. I have studied history for years and I cannot recall it ever happening. It may be that our task is impossible.
