Definitely worth the 50 minutes. "Guns, Capitalism, and Revolutions in the Americas."
I can't wait for the book to come out. (I love the dig at Bellesiles and his fake "history" of arms in early America.)
Brian DeLay talked about the evolution of the American arms trade during the American Revolution and how it also aided the Haitian and Spanish Revolutions that followed. He spoke about the history of gun production in Europe and how the Americas could not create their own large-scale gun production system in the 18th century. Professor DeLay also spoke about how the arms trade contributed to victory during the American Revolution, and how capitalism played a role in the Haitian Revolution.
