Open Letter to the Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force & Colorado Information Analysis Center. I turn myself in for making bulk purchases of surplus.

11 August 2011

Denver Joint Terrorism Task Force
c/o Colorado Information Analysis Center
690 Kipling Street
Lakewood, CO 80215

Dear Domestic Political Spies,

Per your recent diktat "Potential Indicators of Terrorist Activities Related to Military Surplus Stores," I would like to turn myself in. You indicate as “potential indicators of terrorist activities,” people who:

“Make bulk purchase of items to include:

Weatherproofed ammunition or match containers

Meals Ready to Eat

Night Vision Devices; night flashlights; gas masks

High capacity magazines

Bi-pods or tri-pods for rifles”

This is to inform you that I have purchased all of these items, most of them in bulk, from surplus stores all over the country during the past twenty years. As these are legal items and there is no law prohibiting bulk purchases, nor is there any law demanding that ID be shown when purchasing them, I intend to do so again and again until you stop me.

Now it may not have occurred to you, but these items are not generally purchased by Jihadis. They are however purchased by apolitical "preppers," so-called "survivalists" and members of the armed citizenry, including the constitutional militias. None of these groups can be construed as "terrorist" in nature, with all of them motivated by a strong sense of independence and self-defense of life, liberty and property.

I am curious to know by what LAW you now seek to intimidate surplus dealers into collecting identification for such items? If there is no law, and you know that there isn't, then by what right -- other than the might of official misconduct and invention of authority -- do you do so?

Of course I understand that you are going to do this anyway, so I just thought I'd get the formalities out of the way and turn myself in as someone who, albeit law-abiding, purchases these legal items every chance I get.

If fact, I'm planning on coming to Colorado just so I can say that I bought some ammo boxes where the FBI and their local fusion center lickspittles are apparently so frightened of law-abiding preppers and the armed citizenry that they would issue such a ridiculous diktat having no basis in law.

Since your agency will shortly be facing some serious oversight hearings in the House of Representatives as a result of its law-breaking in the Terry murder and Gunwalker Scandal, I think I'll see if we can't get some eager House members to ask you about the legality of this over-stepping of legal authority as well.

Have a nice day.

I plan to notify all the Colorado conservative and libertarian bloggers I know about this. Hopefully, I won't be the only conservative/libertarian Colorado blogger who gets in Fed.Gov's face over this revelation. I have previously and repeatedly chided Colorado's conservative blogdom for its neglect of stories like this, which now of course are legion. We'll see what happens.

By the way, if you're really coming to Colorado, I'd like to meet you. I believe you have my e-mail address.

My communist brother sent a "think progress" article that most of the ATF agents, including the whistle blowers, thing the multiple gun control reporting is peachy!... any scuttle butt on that?

Keep pokin' the elitist, totalitarian "progressives" in the eye.

That was an out-fucking-standing letter.

Off topic, but this has been gnawing at me for a few days. How come it is that the Southern Preposterous Lie Center has been silent about the racial nature of the attacks in the so-called "flash mobs"? I guess only "minorities" can be victims of "hate crimes." SPLC swine should all join hands, sing kumbaya and walk into a turning rotor blade.

How's 'bout a literal "group buy" -as in a big group shows up at one or several of those store and proceeds to buy the heck out of those items?
Golllleee do you suppose that 10K of linked ammo that I bought recently will show up on their screen?

Wish I'd known you were going to send a letter. I'd have added my signature. Guess I'm already on "the list" anyway, but your audacity is applauded.

They're not going to be satiated until they make criminals of and incarcerate or kill all of us.

Years ago, I used to love browsing through any Army surplus store I could find. I never had the money to buy in bulk and still don't. There aren't any surplus stores left in my area.

I do drive the 85 miles to Sam's Club in Lubbock once every six weeks or so to buy food and other items in bulk. The arsehats probably don't like that either.

I somehow think that this is less about terrorism and more about Obama wanting to avoid the unemployment line and needing to grease the gun grabbers for not doing enough for them.

Damn! Where do I go to register? I've bought 3 of the items on the list - although I bought them online rather than from a surplus store.

To-Do List:
Pray
Vote
Stockpile

Uh, "night flashlights"?

As opposed to the daytime sort?

Teh stoopid. It burns.

I was just wondering if I really did hear those pebbles rattling around in the cans. Turns out I did but some of them missed the first and second wires on the way in.

You may now assume the worst and yes, the wire has been tripped, a couple of minutes ago.

I've read the .pdf's on Arfcom sent to FFL's and Surplus dealers and this is incredible. Where do you pricks get off implying folks that frequent these places are potential terrorists? And buying with c-a-s-h? Some of us do that rather than fall into the trap of the plastic money hole. We have disipline in that regard vs. the gubmint not having any. It helps us stay solvent...

Good luck getting these folks to rat out regular Joe's for nothing but 'considerations'. The word will get around fast and those outfits will be out of business.

Many of us buy ammo cans for a myriad of other uses where weatherproofing to some degree is helpful; tools, food in hunting shacks, animal feed, auto and tractor parts, long term food storage that the gubmint is advising us to do, electrical components and of course ammo. Ammo is so damn expensive(thanks to a devalued dollar), you bet I protect it.

If I can get them cheap enough, I add to my general hardware rack (just nuts, bolts, etc. not those evILL gun parts.)

As for ammo, it's generally cheaper if bought in bulk like any other commodity. If you airhead feebs would quit threatening negative action on ammo, maybe some folks would quit buying so much? Naw, it's fun to shoot and it's nothing to go through a few hundred rounds in a shooting weekend...punching paper and tagging steel of course.

And what has missing a finger or two got to do with it? Some of us have operated punch presses and are minus a digit or more due to mistakes. And that's cause for reporting someone?

Also, I'll swag that 90% of the folks patronizing surplus stores are 'white'. Here we go, those evil white, male terrorist types. By indirect implication, who's the REAL terrorist? Yep, those who put out such nonsense as those notices to 'report'. Guess you all are just trying to justify your existence by upping the volume of intestigations. Sorta like Gunwalker?

What a shame and a real threat to freedom when the federales' imply that a combination of or simple purchase of ammo cans is considered suspect and open to review by the constabulary. Someone should be reviewing YOU for illegal action under color of law. It's really not about protect anything but your own arses isn't it? Control, not freedom. More of MY tax money wasted. Yes, I am a producer and not a gov't leach.

Bravo!

I've included this reply to the Obamatards in my latest post. Ihope you don't mind. Such things need to be, nay, MUST be said, to DELEGITIMIZE them.
