CT trip. Problems and opportunities. DO NOT USE PAYPAL FOR VOLUNTARY SUBSCRIPTIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Okay, I'm trying to flesh out a trip to CT for the YCGG Windsor Gun Show next weekend. I'll need a venue for a speech/meet-n-greet Thursday or Friday night somewhere in the Hartford area, and then I'll work a table (assuming they'll sell me one) on Saturday and Sunday. I could use some suggestions from local Threepers about how and where. Email me at GeorgeMason1776ATaolDOTcom if you have any ideas.
For those of you who would like to support such a venture, DO NOT USE PAYPAL FOR VOLUNTARY SUBSCRIPTIONS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Paypal has frozen my account to donations without giving me any explanation why beyond "suspicious activity detected." I'm darned if I know what that is, because the summary doesn't reflect anything of the sort. If you would like to contribute for the moment you'll have to send it to PO Box 926, Pinson, AL 35126.

Never use paypal .. I never have .. its a scam
Somebody at "PayPal" got a call from the government.
Don't feel alone, Paypal recently froze my account too. Their excuse was "suspicious activity" also. They refuse to verify my ownership via cell phone and promised to send a letter for verification response, which they never did, this was last month.
Screw Pay -Pal for the rest of your life.. they are not any American citizens "Pal"
a monopoly in e-bay ( against the law) at least thats my opinion and to me my opinion is the only one that counts ,, when they (pay Pal has F-ed me out of my own money many years ago
both of those on line marketing sites can KMA!
any one that uses them, and hasent yet figured this out.. its just a matter of time until its your turn
sorry to hear about this Mike , once you get it ironed out (if you ever will with that swine) I would find a better way
I booted PayPal years ago.
It's a fkn gestapo organization.
They don't give you rhyme or reason except "That's the way it is."
Paypal and Guns, or Paypal and anything to do with guns....

One question: WHY in the world are you using PayPal at all? There are much better (and far less irritating) alternatives out there.
Yeah, I would have sent contributions long ago if there was an alternative for paypal. Paypal is just part and parcel of the system as far as I'm concerned.
I've never had a problem with PayPal in hundreds of transactions.
To each their own.
Avoid 'electronic' funds and fund transfers. Every cent of 'credit' is controlled by the Fed and recorded by Government Agencies.
In God We Trust - everyone else send CASH!

Wow. A lot of opinions against Pay Pal. I wonder how many voicing them are going to come through with a check instead.
I'm sorry I told you to put a paypal button on your site. They really are rotten bastards. After Thiel sold it to Ebay it lost what 'goodness' it had.
I don't really trust Bitcoin either. Google wallet isn't bad, as far as I can tell.
No major financial instituion is safe really. All it takes is a call from Holder's office saying they are looking into your sources of income. The new domestic terrorist label makes it easy to strongarm financial institutions. I fully expect to be on a list somewhere for having sent money. At this point, being on the list is a badge of honor to me when dealing with such misshapen souls.
And they wonder why we don't trust banks and prefer to deal in cash. This may just be a starting shot, you'd do well to pull any reserve you have out of the bank before they freeze that too.
What's wrong with just mailing Mike a check or a money order?
Hey purists. Should you be using the U.S. dollar at all? After all, the U.S. government is anti-gun & anti-Constitution. I'm looking at a $100 bill right now and it's called a "Federal Reserve Note." Doesn't Visa have anti-gun policies? Google has no respect for privacy. G-mail might as well stand for Government Mail. And so on.
I hate PayPal too, and Ebay, and yet I use both. The alternative for me is very unattractive. In part due to the money I save, I was able to donate over $3,000 this year to good candidates, the Reese Family Defense Fund, and $100 to this site.
I wonder how many folks who made these comments have donated to this site by check, or any other way at all?
Nothing more generous with time and money these days than the dedicated chatroom commando.
