Second lawsuit filed challenging federal ban on new machine guns
A complaint for declarative and injunctive relief was filed Friday in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Plaintiff Ryan S. Watson, acting individually and as trustee of the Watson Family Gun Trust, is suing Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr. and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Director B. Todd Jones in their official capacities for administering, executing and enforcing “statutory and regulatory provisions [that] generally act as an unlawful de facto ban on the transfer or possession of a machine gun manufactured after May 19, 1986.”

Hand grenades are also illegal. Should be legal to carry (illegal per NFA, 1934, and Crime Control Act, 1968; 26USC5801). Perhaps we'll see a lawsuit to legalizing this soon.
Machine guns and grenades. That will make our neighborhood safer!
being "right" doesn't mean you will win in court.
PS 1:12AM - Our citizen soldiers do seem to use machineguns and grenades to keep us safe!

Grenades would make it safer....against government malfeasance anyway. RPGs would be even more effective.
concerning the loss of value if the 1986 ban is repealed..

Then they should file another suit stating that an unconstitutional law artificially inflated the value of said machine guns and that the federal government should cover the value loss by the righting of an illegal law by granting an equivalent tax credit until the loss is recovered.
If police and federal law enforcement need the tool for their self defense, then I as a citizen should also have access to the tool for my self defense.
