Sorry, but I had to crap out of the gun show by noon.

I just wasn't up to all the walking. Didn't find anything I was looking for that other folks needed either, so the thing was a washout -- a waste of the 9 bucks entry fee. It was smallish for such shows and not much variety. There is a limit to the interest that table after table of cheap Chinese folding knives can muster. Sorry if you looked for me there and missed me. Maybe next time, when at the AGCA show I'll be working a table.

Way too high a "access" fee is exactly why I don't attend gun shows around here anymore. Between table/booth fees driving up the price and overpriced entry fees, there is a whole lot of showing and looking but not too much deal buying. Cripes, by the time a guy takes his old lady and kids in the door he coulda just bought a box of ammo of the wal mart shelf.

Hey, a buck or two to get in - MAYBE.
Beyond that, folks will just sit out in these tough times.
It occurs to me that NOBODY wins in that scenario. Just goes to show you, GREED will literally destroy everything.....eventually.

I agree with poster #1 ~ I never go to any event where they sell and pay an entry fee.

They should pay us to show up.

Just be glad you can have gun shows where you live. Some of my friends in New York are seeing firearms shows regulated out of existence.

There is nothing greedy about wanting to have enough income to cover your expenses, including the rent on the venue. That's called the free market economy. All intents to break-even or make a profit are not motivated by anyone's greed. If you attend a gun show sponsored by a business, then expect the business is entitled to recover their cost and maybe make a profit on their admission fees.
