Barack Obama has lost his promise. He has lost his momentum. He has lost his touch. He has lost his filibuster-proof Senate majority. He has lost his first year in office. Tonight, he lost his grip on reality. -- Michael Gerson
I neither watched nor listened to the Obamanoid in Chief last night as I was writing. I skimmed the speech transcript early this morning and I must say I agree with Michael Gerson. This guy isn't living in the same universe as the rest of us, at not least in his own head.
So they will continue to double down on disaster with the same predictable results, will they? If so, the twin demonstrations in April in DC will be so huge as to be undeniable by anybody but a delusional narcissist.
We will now see how many Democrats will drink the Health Care, Cap-and-Tax and Amnesty for Illegals KoolAid cocktail in the coming year. Not enough, I suspect, for Obama's purposes but still enough to keep things riled up for the November elections. If we have elections, that is.
One wonders what Obama's puppetmasters think about their Pinocchio's delusions that he is a real leader. Hillary may suspect something . . . I read she stayed away from the Capitol chamber last night.
By itself the speech means nothing to us. As an indicator of unreality leading to the possibility of administration folly and deadly misadventure, however?
The worst is yet to come.
I did not listen or watch the speech either, but I did follow-up on it this morning. There was a slim chance I would wake up today and learn the enemy has surrendered to the People, but instead we learn the enemy is going to double-down on his efforts. So be it. We will just double-down on our efforts as well.
He has lost touch with reality, and the millions of people who still worship the ground he walks on have as well!
"I skimmed the speech transcript early this morning and I must say I agree with Michael Gerson. This guy isn't living in the same universe as the rest of us, at not least in his own head."
For calibration, you might consider skimming transcripts of the first State of the Union speech from the previous five presidents. Is this current president particularly delusional, or are these speeches always wishful nonsense, and you've become better at seeing through it?
"still enough to keep things riled up for the November elections. If we have elections, that is."
We will always have elections. Even the Soviet Union had elections, it keeps up the pretense that the people are in charge. In the Soviet elections, there was only one candidate. In the American elections, there is only one set of polices. Sometime the no choice/one policy aspect is so obvious that the candidates are frat brothers (Bush/Kerry).
Mike said."I neither watched nor listened to the Obamanoid in Chief last night as I was writing."
You didn't miss much.
Wish I had missed it.
"We will always have elections."
Maybe not. As people become more disaffected and the Tea Parties gain traction, the progressives may become worried to the point of staging a false flag incident. Think Reichstag fire followed by martial law before elections. They may want to hold on to power no matter the cost.
Keep yer powder dry
So, It is public spanking for those who do not like the Chicago way?
Well, time to pull out all the stops.
Mobilize. Everything this fraud advocates is to be fought tooth and nail. Not one item the first Kenyan wants he shall get. Not one inch. If it is partisan politics is what he wants, well, that is what we give him and his cronies.
Do you think any of the Supreme's will retire during this thug's term of office? No. Not after that slap down. The current justices will die in office rather than give this clown another pick. Even the wise Latina and Ginsberg looked very unhappy at the swipe at the court.
Our enemies of freedom made it known last night that is war to the knife and knife to the hilt. If we the people are not willing to stand up to these TRAITORS, our children's future is one of Marxist slavery and death. There is quite a few Americans who will not go quietly into the Obot goodnight without claiming a few heads. Are you one of these? Or are you a passenger for a cattle car? Time to decide and then prepare. And act.
Time to pick up our weapons, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, and stand a post freedom warriors. The bots are in the wire and tac air is inbound and about to dump snake and nape all over our pos. Hang on, it is going to be a bumpy ride...
I have not read or heard the speech either, and I don't think I am interested in reading or hearing it.
Speaking of false flag operations, I think the gun banners are trying to get back on the public spotlight now. Just a couple of days ago, some police in New Jersey arrested a man under very suspicious circumstances, and claimed that he had an "arsenal", and was walking around town with "a very dangerous assault rifle". They did not give any more details. A few hours after that, the media immediately started getting hysterical about how this man had a "grenade launcher". Even though most readers now know that the "grenade launcher" in question is really just a Cobray 37mm flare launcher, legal to own and available at many sporting shops, various media agencies are still saying it is a "grenade launcher".
This entire case, including the arrest of the man, is under very suspicious circumstances, and something tells me that the elitists are giving up the healthcare and global warming faux and going after gun ownership and the 2nd Amendment again.
Like many others are saying here, I will say it too: Keep your powder dry and your flints sharp, and your eyes and ears open. Alert webmasters like Mike and Oleg and other independant news sources to any new development that is important to the current state of affairs.
jeez guys, I watched it twice. I then went outside and looked at the rainbows, tweety birds, and even won the powerball lottery. I mean, seriously, after having sunshine blown up my kiester for 1.5 hours, I want to go and donate ALL my money to the government, since they definitely have plans for it, and this country.
Actually, went and bought two more shooters this AM. Since I'm in Wa. state, they're the newly "scary" kind.
You just said the same thing I have said during four Busch-Klinton administrations. "Of what use are the words of a liar?"
