And now, for something completely different: A plea to ban fox hunting in Oklahoma.

This just in from Len Savage, from something forwarded to him:

If you agree with this please send it to the powers that be. Hope we can stop it!!!!

While I always agree that hunting is an ethical God given right, I think that I would have to agree with the author on this one.... fox hunting in OKLAHOMA should be banned! I know that they're all over the place but still banning FOX HUNTING is the sensible thing to do.

Please help ban fox hunting in Oklahoma!

This madness must STOP!!!

the whole foxhunt ban thing here in the UK went on for ages, but they don't use guns here; they use dogs to chase down the fox... is that how it's done there?

Why is this even an issue? Every fox I have ever known has been very knowlegable, safe, and considerate when using firearms. This is blantant Canidaephobia and specism. Please do not fall for these lies, Fox's are our friends.

I almost sent my laptop across the room in joint laughter and coughing spell. Not a good thing to do to old ...fat.... men!

I don't know, the rabbits are a lot bigger nuisance than the foxes, n' the foxes are sure a lot prettier. And considerably smarter than a great number of the inhabitants of Oklahoma.

Of course, he's firing the experimental Weatherby 400 mag, which fires from the open bolt / open breech position. But seriously, this could pose a danger to passing hikers / bicyclists / drivers in the distance, especially if the rumors are true that the fox community has now obtained 50 BMGs.

THE SOURCE OF NEW JOBS!
New jobs begin with pebble droppers, people making waves and wakes, the entrepreneurs who start business ventures. The “soil” must nurture them, not discourage them. Pebble droppers must be saved and admired for the service they provide. Instead, they are envied by the few, taxed and punished by government whose only purpose is to protect all people against injustice. SAVE PEBBLE DROPPERS & PROSPERITY defines a pebble dropper and the environment that is best to encourage their success. Today’s politicians are dismantling the American ideal of a prosperous, free nation. The 2008 election did seek “change,” but made community interests superior to individual interests. What has happened to the voices who believe in the importance of the individual? That is why America differs from the rest of the world. If “change” is inevitable, will we lose that which sets us apart from the Old World. Claysamerica.com

Considering that the picture shows the fox to be "between shots," i.e., open bolt, why is his paw still on the trigger? See? Unsafe practices by foxes everywhere are what's getting fox hunting banned! That fox needs to be fined at the very least!

Oh. The picture explains it.
