"Deja vu all over again?"

Jody Keeku faces an ATF Conduct Review Board.

"It's deja vu all over again." -- Yogi Berra.

Folks,

For those of us who have been in this for a while, the present situation of the ATF -- an agency riven with dissension, about to have their congenital dysfunction and lawlessness exposed to the world (and, worse for them, Congress) -- has a familiarity that is disconcerting.

The last time ATF was in this position, they raided a religious commune in Texas to "retrieve their reputation."

So, as much as I thoroughly enjoy watching the cannibalism currently going on within the agency, it is important to remember that cannibals have been known to eat outside the tribe as well as within.

I mention this so you will be forewarned just in case cannibals show up in your neighborhood . . .

If they do, remember to remind them that there are no more free Wacos.

what about their budget? call me cynical, but i'm willing to bet they're more likely to engage in outrageous raids when they see the purchasing power of their budget contracting, more than any other factor. if they have to publish a CAFR, you'd be able to find it or FOIA it. like this.

Looks like my investment in .30 caliber A.P. all those years ago was a better buy than I thought.

Still have it just like Mike and his friends cash sites.

And almost anything or anyone could become the target here. I don't think that the Branch Dividian folks were well known before the "raid."

Watch your backs, brothers and sisters. :(

Yes, this is a historical truth, the Batt Fays may lash out, the way a 'gator does when it's dying, get out of the way of that tail.

Letting the Batt Fays get into trouble just like they did at Waco might enable the Army units now tasked with domestic operations to get into action to bail them out. The first of those units, the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, was at Fort Stewart, Georgia. They have been reassigned now, but at least three other active duty units were supposed to be tasked by this point. I don't know where they are, but that information would be helpful if anyone knows.

So, perhaps it would be prudent to look around your vicinity to see what targets they might choose. Knowing potential targets in advance provides the opportunity to plan a response.

I think everyone learned their lesson from 1993. Today, it's possible that instead of watching the battle going on, people would try to help out their neighbors.

I hope it's like that anyway...

When a dying snake is lashing about..

Step on its HEAD.

(Not to be confused with the reptilian analogy in a nearby post. Mheh.)

I hope it all becomes eerily reminiscent of the Salem witch trials...

100 heads, no mater who the target may be.
