A Crisis in Command and the Roots of the Problem

Like 90% of all problems in an army this comes down to leadership, education, and selection. The knowledge of History really aids decision making, if people would only care to study it. As I have always told all my students in all my classes, in some of the first lectures: only fools learn by their own mistakes, smart people learn by the mistakes of others.

"only fools learn by their own mistakes, smart people learn by the mistakes of others."

That is an absurd statement.

Only a fool would say that.

Only a complete dipshit would believe it.

OK, dumbass. Perhaps it should have said, "smart people learn by their own mistakes, but really smart people learn by the mistakes of others." Would that make you happy?

All good and well, we see the problem. How in this marxist-muslim infected culture do you correct the problem? Aren't we too far down the road for correcting the mess?

And as expected, a butt-hurt dipshit who fancies himself as "really smart" chimes in. An advanced student of Sun Tzu perhaps?

Ask a group of Mensans and they will tell you that smart as they already are, they are continuously learning, as there is so much to understand and that each understands so little. This concept is applicable to individuals and organizations.

"The Sling and the Stone: On War in 21st Century" By USMC Colonel
Hammes is a good read about 4GW.
Mike referred to this earlier.
