From CBS, a very useful "Primer on the 'Fast and Furious' scandal."

And look at this, they finally name David and me in print with links to our sites:
How did Fast and Furious come to light and who was Brian Terry?
Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was gunned down on Dec. 14, 2010 in Arizona just north of the Mexican border, allegedly by illegal aliens armed with at least two AK-47 variant rifles trafficked by Fast and Furious suspects who had not been arrested by ATF. The public was not told about the link between Terry's murder and Fast and Furious, nor was the gunwalking revealed. But ATF insiders began sharing their concerns anonymously online, including to the forum CleanupATF.org. Gun rights advocates including David Codrea and Mike Vanderboegh wrote extensively on the controversy and rumors surrounding Terry's death, and the allegation that ATF was attempting to "bump up its case numbers" by letting large numbers of guns "walk" into the hands of Mexican drug cartels. Several ATF agents became whistleblowers and contacted Sen. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), who began investigating the controversy in Jan. 2011. CBS News spoke to a half dozen ATF sources and reported the story on Feb. 22, 2010.
On March 3, 2010, the first ATF whistleblower, John Dodson, spoke publicly to CBS News.

You might want to spell-check your headline: I think you mean 'From CBS' not 'Fron CBS'

All the best.

The jackass "journalists" are only putting all the facts in print because they are all over the internet anyway. I was kind of amazed yesterday that no matter where I went in the blogosphere and forums, if the subject was politics the people were enraged over Fast and Furious. I mean no matter what the political topic the commenters pointed irate fingers and mentioned Fast and Furious by name.

Keep the people enraged.

"What was the motivation for ATF to employ such a controversial tactic?"
Answer: To enable the Obama administration to subvert the Second Amendment....
No, you wont read that in the CBS piece, but that was the purpose.

Thanks for keeping the pressure on.

CBS does a fairly good job of reporting on the fedgov's gunwalking activities but it seems like subtle suggestions are being offered that ATF SAC Bill Newell was the architect.

I hope the investigation does not end with Newell taking the fall for more senior officials in the Obama administration.

Congratulations for finally receiving national recognition on this matter!

I have faithfully followed and posted updates over at PAFOA.ORG
thread title is Project Gun-walker and the ATF.

The fact that it is now impossible to avoid this topic in the political news arena is encouraging. Americans should spend their Independence day thinking about our heritage and how it relates to the profound implications of this entire scandal. I hope many Americans talk about this one over their holiday weekend.

CBS better be on the up and up and not just trying to set up a scapegoat now that F and F is making its way to the court of public opinion.

Giving credit where credit is due is absolutely essential in this case. It used to be journalists had ethics about stealing other peoples
work. Perhaps they are seeing the light.

I heard somebody call Fast and Furious Watergate with toe tags in reference to the legacy media using that previous scandal Kabuki theater style to run cover for the treason and murder holder and obama have wrought.

WAIT A MINUTE. Hello? A couple of dates in the primer are wrong.

CBS News spoke to a half dozen ATF sources and reported the story on Feb. 22, 2010.

That one has been corrected already at the CBS site, but not this one:

What's the controversy over the Justice Department's Feb. 4, 2010 letter to Sen. Grassley?

That whole section uses 2010 instead of 2011.

Also, their account of Operation Wide Receiver contradicts the Outdoor Wire.
http://www.theoutdoorwire.com/features/224570

CBS says or implies very strongly that Wide Receiver was conceived as a gunwalking program, not a gun interdiction program, which failed because of faulty surveillance techniques.

There is something inherently illuminating behind king putts suicidal proclamation of instituting an executive ninny blanket.
Something which revealed, is far far worse for this regime than the automatic guilt through direct association that comes with ownership in declaring executive privilege.

Executive protection is a last ditch, last resort, hail mary pass on obama and his ilk's part to hide the truth behind the murder and treason of fast and furious.

I'm thinking a circle jerk of radical chic persons, the stupidity and hubris of those in this inner circle, where this is documentation that can not be destroyed directly pointing to those behind the policy and ideology.
I have no way of knowing, but I ain't stupid either. If I had to make an educated guess, taking into account the characters obama has associated with over his miserable life, and the scumbags he surrounds himself with, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorne pop into my mind for starters.

I can not, in the landscape of this Republic, imagine a more suitable set of psychopaths and social misfits than those two to come up with a scheme like fast and furious, just for starters. Who knows what those two terrorists and murderers have been up to with their cocaine sniffing protege in the oval office?

You got Rahm Emanuel, Hillary Clinton, Holder, Nappy the Clown, the list is endless of Alynskites and one world order Fabyan's. With Soros and his pals, the bankster families of the federal reserve bankrolling these idiots of treason.

Ayers and Dorne, what more could a little snotty commie like king putt ask for. It is a match made in dictator heaven. What more perfect trifecta of radicals could one put in the white house in order to overthrow a constitutional republic from the inside out, top down?

This is where, or something similar

leads to. Murder of hundreds, treason and felonies, are a fart in a mitten compared to what truth will out if these traitors are exposed if king putt can't keep those incriminating documents out of the hands of Issa.

I'm saying, obama knows if the truth is revealed, it ties so much together, it is so compelling, so onerous, of such high treason, he is toast.
Nothing will save the little creepy lyin' ass weasel.

Thanks for not letting go of this story. Your site is where I learned of Fast and Furious from almost the beginning. I must confess that at times I got tired of hearing about it.

I'll bet Holder is tired of hearing about it too. GOOD.

Thanks again!

I'm thinking F&F was cooked up and approved by Holder, Obama, Hillary, Valerie Jarrett, Axelrod, and probably a few other commie Alinskyites. And it was cooked up well before 2010. No way Bill Newell on his own cooked this up. Holder HAD to know about it since it was an OCDEFT case according to Andy McCarthy who prosecuted some of the first OCDEFT cases (article on NRO.) Agent Terry's murder put a spanner in the works and no triumphant presser could be held after that. The rats started trying to deceive and delay an investigation. CBS is trying hard to walk a tightrope between reporting and getting its favorite commies off the hook.

Hold your course and keep the heat on. At least you got mentioned this time.

Over at the CBS site comment section it appears that posters have not only endured the invasive sign-up process, but are ~85% Obama True Believers and Lifetime MultiGenerational FSA Democrats.

Hillary.....

State Dept. negotiations over Light Arms/Small Arms Treaty that would be the non-negotiable non-overturnable Law of the Land....

It's not just about some dead Mexicans, some dot-gov "fail", cartels running a 4gw, or 2 dead Agents, it's treason/corruption/conspiracy on out side.

Hang on, Mike.

Cheers.

A woman named Cathrine Eban wrote an article in the Fortune Mag
debunking everything Holder is the Good Guy in this matter. She was just on Not so Sharpton Show MSNBC

So, if F&F is just a political witchhunt to take down the FIRST BLACK (kinda) President.... how many murdered Mexicans does it take before a black president has to answer for it?

If 300 dead Mexicans isn't the threshold, what is? 3,000? 7,000?

I want MSNBC to tell me just how many dead Mexicans are OK, for the benefit of their trophy prez.

I'm so glad you're out there defending the truth! Way to politicize the murder of innocent people in order to get the NRA some more donations and hurt the Obama administration! Yayyyyy!!!!!

The part that no one is talking about publicly is the TREASON by Obama, Jarrett, the "czars" who came up with it and the rest of this administration.
They intentionally conspired to undermine and deprive the citizens of their constitutional rights by deception, false reporting and conspiracy to traffic in illegal firearms.

High Crimes and Misdemeanors.

If this doesnt qualify for impeachment proceedings to begin then lets not waste time on elections.

They are all guilty and should be arrested and charged.. to hell with the resulting faked race war that might come from it.

Mike - good to see that you & Dave got some (late) acknowledge from Sharyl Atkisson. And that some other beagle eyed person noted the date discrepancies (so it's not just my tired old eyes playing tricks on me).
One caveat that we all need to be aware of is that after the whitehouse press types blasted Ms. Atkisson, her employers basically withdrew corporate support for her. But being the quality person she is she stuck to her guns - as did Katie Pavlich. They have done great service to complement the yeoman's job you & Dave have done. Maybe, just maybe some of the sheeple will wake up after tomorrow's events......

The Fortune mag article is so stupid it doesn't even interview John Dodson. Has plenty to say about him, mind you -- what a jerk he is, how he lies, how he wore flip-flops to work -- but not a word from the man himself or any indication that they even tried to contact him. The article is a joke on that basis alone.
