Sooner or later, some Federal DOE thugs are going to get killed doing this.

And, I have to tell you, I won't shed a frigging tear for their corpses. This is an outrage. Deadly force for a defaulted student loan?!?!?!? WTF is the Department of Education doing with a frigging SWAT team anyway? If ever there was an argument for defunding DOE, this is it. GOP? Looks like I need to send a copy of the No More Free Wacos letter to the head of DOE.

Clarification: Deadly force for a student loan allegedly defaulted on by someone who didn't even live there.

So is this a precursor to mortgage defaults?

Glad I paid my student loans off...

I would think that the apology and a new door would be well in order.

If this isn't a misuse of power, I don't know what is. Misuse under color of law, etc.

The court system exists for exactly this kind of situation. DOE should have simply pursued the woman in court. End of story.

And terrorizing three youngsters in the process? Unconscionable.
This man should sue the pants off all involved so it doesn't happen to anyone else...

Someone on a SWAT team is going to get shot and from then on, a pair of uniformed officers in dress blues with a car parked behind them will walk to the door and knock, ring bell, and wait.

"Doesn't live here? Do you have a current address or phone number? Good day, Citizen."

Oh, wait. It's never the fault of SWAT that the house that they are "dynamically entering" has pressure plates in the walkway, video watching everywhere (sans signs or visible cameras), and a homeowner with nothing to lose waiting in a bunker for them to break in and all get in (entry stacks don't advance to the rear well).

"Bring in the college debt collectors. We'll hold him down and get the combination to the safe. Credit card records indicate coin shop charges and gun purchases! Heat up these pliers on the stove. Oh, the subject is a woman?"

This is wrong, and inept. DoEd doesn't need to exist, let alone have armed Agents. Just wrong.

Cheers.

So now the TWAT teams do loan collections for Obama? When will people start learning that if you see someone apporahcing in a uniform, he represents a deadly threat and must be dealt with as such?

"follow-up" says it "wasn't about student loans" and that the DoE OIG follows up on allegations of "fraud" and etc...

So... next we'll hear that they didn't use the SWAT because of defaulted student-loans, but because of defaulted FRAUDULENT student loans -- as if *ANYTHING* that doesn't include violence should be handled by SWAT...

Un-frigging-real.

WHAT F***ING COUNTRY IS THIS AGAIN??!!

This is what all those entry Remington 870s and Glock .40 cal pistols last year were for (27 and 100 units respectively, IIRC).

DoE does in fact have its own SWAT team through the OIG.

Do they need one? According to DoE/OIG they do....in case they have to serve a warrant on an ex-con or someone deemed dangerous.

I have to wonder, what is their excuse in this case? Did this guy have a record? Who cares?....they were after someone that didn't live there anyway.

I'm with you Mike; when someone opens up the can of whoop ass on these retards, they'll have got what's coming.

My ex moved out over three years ago, and I believe she has some student loans...

Anybody know the rating of the body armor on the DOE entry teams? I'm hoping 7.62x39 will defeat it.

It's no longer a case of being pushed...

It's no longer a case of waiting for a first strike...

Now it's simply a matter of who decides they're going to push back in retaliation for preemptive agression by the 'thin blue line' who has, by and large, demonstrated they no longer understand Constitutional protections, due process, and the term, "minimum force", let alone, "protect and serve".

This is happening (or at least being reported) on a much more frequent basis, and we'll be lucky to see the summer end without outright war.

Where it starts will most certainly be with 'the thin blue line'.

Did you note that not only were the FedPigs there, but the Stockton pigs as well? Although the Stockton pigs apparently did not participate in the blast-in, they clearly did NOTHING to protect the Mere Citizens therein.

But then I guess I'm just too hateful and fail to appreciate all the great things that "Law Enforcement" are dong in this country...

The global "elites" running this show via their agents in DC have made a very big mistake.

They are thinking that Americans are going to go down like they did in communist soviet union (all of eastern Europe),as in fascist Germany (followed by western Europe), or as in communist China and N.Korea.

The Europeans and Asians were destroyed during the 20th century for the purpose of setting up the global socialist "utopia" (that is "elites" criminal enterprise and massive slave states).

The one and only reason this global crime gang has not yet succeeded in setting up their criminal utopia for the USA - is because Americans have guns - that is - they are the largest standing army on earth and in all of history.

We're almost there (utopia for criminal elites, hell for the rest), but if give up your guns - and you will certainly find yourself living in another socialists' utopia - with slavery life as total mayhem, chaos and ultimately mass murder and genocide.

Take a brief history review of what Alexander Solzhenitsyn (a captain in the soviet army during WWII, who went direct to the GULAG instead of going home after the war, the greatest writer of the 20th century, winner of Nobel Prize -before it became the Nobel War-is-Peace Prize) wrote about the socialist utopia:

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?

Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city,

people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase,

but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?...

The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt!

If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward."

Heed his warning - or you have only yourself to blame for your loss of freedoms

I saw the video this a.m. on a conservative/neocon blog site (which one not important). I post there frequently especially on items on gross misuse of govt power. I've learned not to be too pointed and have noticed a steady increase in other comments similar to my own. I'd like to think that I have had some influence but that's likely my own ego at play. What's important is that I'm seeing much less mindless support of the govt and much more outrage at abuses such as this.

Here's my post on the matter. It got eleven thumbs up, much higher than any other comment in the thread.

Soldier wanna-be SWAT team from the Department of Education slamming down doors. For non-payment of a student loan.

And the local cop PR line is that he was never handcuffed an nobody was held against his will? Isn’t it a shame that we’ve come to the point where any reasonable person who hears that thinks – or says – “Now that’s just a plain old lie.”

So – when is enough enough? Voting in new politicians has had no effect. This just keeps getting worse and more high-handedly abusive every day.

Good boy, Good boy, What ya gonna do?

So is this a precursor to mortgage defaults?--Beagle2

No. A SWAT team is not going to wreck your home because Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac likely hold the loan and they were both nationalized in September of 2008.

Why would the fedgov destroy what amounts to federal property? ;^)

Fanny and Freddie Swat teams doing evics? where the hell are the sheriffs? Were the hell is the justice system?... noone to protect us from domestic threats of an over reaching Swat crazed enforcement attitude...

This is a mess and the ballot box is not going to fix it, that case is over and now decided, why I so wishfully wanted a patriotic change after the 2010 election...

We all know that student loan defaulters fight to the death and often use their own children as hostages. I'm surprised the criminal's husband didn't hide in the basement so that he could set himself and his children on fire when the Dept of Agriculture rolled up in their tanks, and Health and Human Services started flying over in their gov. surplus UH-1's.

The only possible reason why the Dept of Education would use a SWAT team is to justify the Benelli M4 shotguns and also their share of the millions of rounds of Winchester Ranger .40 cal ammo that the government bought for these Federal agencies. It's no fun having them if they never get to use them.

Does someone still have that unbelievable list of all of the Federal agencies that have purchased shotguns and ammo, and have approval for their agents to carry firearms? I'd like a reminder of who may come crashing through my door besides BATFE.

Well, is anyone surprised? After all, the Dept. of Education put in a request for 27 Remington 870 Shotguns in March of 2010. I see they're finally putting them to use.

Thank you, Anonymous, for the GULAG Archipelago reference.

As a former Soviet subject, I'm particularly emphatic about that history lesson. I can't tell you how many parallels - rhyming but not repeating, if you follow my meaning - I can draw between today's political devices and suffocating bureaucracy, and my experiences on the other side of the Curtain.

I propose the creation of a distributed, resilient database to contain information on the "elites" and their numerous enforcers. They need to be outed and maintained in the public eye. Lacking pushback, they have grown fearless in their abuses.

I believe it would greatly help the public good, if the gaggle of traitors, thieves, and thugs were aware that the veil of anonymity protecting their misdeeds has been pulled back.

Would a SWAT goon think twice, knowing that it's that much easier for a victim's friends and relations to locate them after the fact? I'd like to think that it would help encourage such cerebral ruminations.

Liberty's own "fusion center", or perhaps "sewage processing facility".

This type of IT work is fairly up my alley. If you good folks happen to like the overall idea and can help flesh it out conceptually -- the desired properties and capabilities of such a system -- you can hopefully contact Mike and he can put us in touch or something along those lines.

Welcome to the USSA Komeraden!!! You must join the ruling junta! Down with the constitution, up with the worker's paradise!!
Sweet Jesus help us. A SWAT team to collect delinquent student loans? Keep a man and his children locked up in a squad car for six hours? When you're looking for a woman? Are you kidding? If you think this is an abberation, guess again, this is becoming common practice. Reference Tucson Marine killed by swat team 05/05/2011 in Tucscon Az. The use of SWAT teams is way out of proportion to what they are being used for. THIS IS A POLICE STATE!! What more do Americans need before they fight back??

7.62x39 will not penetrate level IV body armor. Level IV is the "plate carrier" type vest.

If armor is Level IIIA, then yes, 7.62x39 will penetrate.....but the safer bet is to aim for the pelvis....then it doesn't matter what armor someone is wearing as even the little 'cod' piece hanging down on an interceptor style plate carrier is only IIIA.

Mark Matis said...

For Anonymous at 4:37 PM:
In line with Anonymous at 10:27 AM comment, you might want to know where "the pelvis" is located for someone OUTSIDE your door. If you also then secure your door with something sufficiently durable but not noticeable from the outside and that won't be defeated by the initial door-breaching round, you may have some opportunities:

1. These teams are as hyped up as a bunch of druggies on PCP. They're used to blasting the door open, tossing in a flash-bang, closing the door while it goes off, and then rushing in. The holder of the flash-bang most likely has it ready to go before they blast the door. If he prepares to toss it as the leaders shove the door open, there is a decent chance that he will accidentally drop it OUTSIDE amongst his fellow pigs when the door DOESN'T open as expected. Nothing like friendly fire as an aid...

2. Once they have blasted the door, THEY have started the attack. The additional seconds it takes for them to deploy their alternate means to smash their way in give you an opportunity to pump a magazine THROUGH the door at "pelvis level" on the outside. Combining that with the possibly inadvertently deployed flash-bang will improve the odds of several of THEM dying before they kill you.

And please do understand they WILL kill you. Even if you survive the initial assault, there will be backup coming. It may be your LOCAL "Law Enforcement" who arrive first, even if they were not part of the original assault team. If that is the case, you should ask yourself what you think THEY will do:

1. Stand beside you to defend you against the follow-onslaught?

2. Stand aside to let you defend yourself against the next wave of terrorists?

3. Arrest you, and then turn you over to the arriving backup when they claim jurisdiction?

I know the answer to that. Remember that the Stockton police were right there with these FedPigs as they conducted the raid, and they did not do a damn thing to stop it. The stench is overwhelming.

Mark Matis said...

Surprised that made it through. Let's try this now:

Running into an entry that is resistant to their normal blast entry will only throw them off a few times before they use different tactics. Of course, they have a battering ram they can attack with, but that ties up the hands of the suckers at the front of the stack, so they won't like to use it. That leaves them with an armored entry option. Suggestions on how to deal with that here:
http://westernrifleshooters.wordpress.com/2011/05/29/ammerc-considerations-for-irregular-warfare-against-a-mounted-threat/#comment-13300

Note that paintballs are water-based so they're a waste of time. A bottle of acrylic lacquer, however... And I suspect (but have not tested) that flat black is the best color choice. Do note that these vehicles use bullet-proof glass for their windows. Do also note, though, that bullet-proof is so against spaced impact points. Concentrated fire on a small area will eventually penetrate. How small a group can YOU hold under 100 feet offhand?

Bottom line still is - if you DARE to resist, you are dead. Hell, sometimes even if you DON'T resist, you are dead. Make your choice now, and then be ready to follow it through as far as you can.

Oh, and by the way, if you DO survive the initial contact, DON'T be stupid enough to sit there and wait for their backup to arrive. You should have a pretty good idea where they'll be coming from. Head that direction and pick them off while they're still en route. Very few pigmobiles have bullet-proof glass in their windshields...
