The 'smart gun' that terrifies the gun-grabbers

The gun prohibitionists want to ban so-called "Saturday Night Specials," because they're too small and cheap. They want to ban .50 caliber rifles, because they're too big and expensive. They want to ban so-called "assault weapons," because they can be "spray-fired from the hip," too quickly and inaccurately. And now, $22,000+ bolt-action "sniper" rifles, because they can be fired too accurately. Is there any gun they don't want to ban? Any gun that the various "Goldilocks" of "gun control" would think is "just right" for private citizens?

Some questions just answer themselves, don't they?

A potato gun?

A BB gun?

A Super Soaker?

A Nerf gun?

Maybe just a slingshot... no wait that's what David used to kill Goliath, better keep it to only what you can throw with your bare hands...

Smoothbore muzzleloaders. They are OK, at least for a while.

They might consider a whistle vaguely gun-shaped, yet acceptable so long as it isn't loud enough to violate noise regulations.

But an acceptable gun? Please. How barbaric. And they violate the monopoly.

The designers of this "smart" technology have my permission to cram this idea up their stupid asses.

I think they would approve of nerf rifles...with proper training, licensing and safety gear

Maybe a 12" barreled .22 rimfire that can accept shorts only?

Uncle Joe thinks shotguns are OK - Hey! You might have to fire both barrels in the air to protect yourself!

As long as you have your Skeet gun the 2nd Amendment is alive and (un)well ...

Um - wait a minute: Who needs a firearm with TWO barrels and capable of fireing multiple projectiles with each pull of the trigger?

Society will be so much safer after the last Skeet gun has been confiscated.

Think of the poor wee Skeet!

Again, I've done recce on the commie blogs and the social nets, and I can definitively answer this!!

Alanstorm, the ONLY gun that the collectivists won't ban is the kind where the muzzle points back at the user.

Just like the only targets that the militia use anymore are like the new DHS targets, except it's jackbooted thugs & commies wearing Che T-shirts, rather than preggo moms & grannies!

I wish I could afford one of every gun they dislike ( read 'fear').

I love my 'sniper rifle'.

It makes me better shooter and a real problem for bad people.

Yaknow, it's funny that this story comes up. I was just reading in a story in American Rifleman about an elderly gentleman (early 60s) who showed up to a long range DCM competition. He had no rifle of his own, so he used a loner '03 with iron sights and still came in second against a guy with optics on a high tech rifle. At distances out to 1K yards.
You can't ban skill. It is useless to try.
