"I Built This AK-47. It's Legal and Totally Untraceable." In Mother Jones, no less.

"Forget 3-D printed guns. Inside a "build party" where anyone can make a rifle that no cop will ever know about."

"Between you, me, and Johnny Law, here's what happened to my homemade AK. Back in my garage I use a grinding wheel to cut the receiver in half and the other components into pieces. I put the scraps back in the cardboard box the kit came in and leave it for the garbage truck."

Yep, Mother Jones all right. Just trying to draw attention to those scary untraceable assault weapons so somebody will do something about it.

BTW, do people really pay $1600 for typical AKs?

The comments were the funniest. How can those tree huggers even BREATHE and walk at the same time?

Right. That's what I would say, too.

Here are some links to current marketplaces offering AK for sale to American citizens:

http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_7/122_AK_Rifles.html

And yes some unique and historic AK's sell for much more than $1,600:

Funny isn't it that Mother Jones just discovered a real freedom American citizens posses and exercise without incident! My guess is they're still in the dark on other 2nd Amendment RTKBA issues.

Interesting photo essay of how one guy built some AK rifles based on the flats and kits. He even built some of his own bending jigs for precision forming of the receiver.

The bleeding heart progressive jerk in the Mother Jones article may have acted with pc motives and destroyed a perfectly good rifle, but I appreciate the fact that he further demonstrated the futility of gun control.

If tribal peasants in the back country of places like Yeman can build, without a formal machine shop, functioning AKs, there's no reason in the world that Americans with a few common, basic tools can't do the same in their basements or garages.

Performing a public service. Now others who read Mother Jones will know how to do it. Cool! "You can't stop the signal, Mal."

This guys is a fucking ignorant pussy, relying on the same bullshit folklore all the fudd and semi-fudd idiots repeat about the Kalashnikov.

I also like how he bought "bullets." Just the bullets, Mr. Gas Station Flannel?

Since when is a bump fire stock a "soup up" modification that allows "full-auto" fire?

This man is the manifestation of all of the jokes we throw around about how murderously ignorant the Left is about firearms.
