D.C. prosecutors give hero a break: 'Only' $1000 fine for saving child's life

Here's the thing. A law that has to be broken in order to save the life of a child--to prevent him from being torn apart by vicious dogs--is very likely an evil law. And a "justice" system that punishes a man (even if "only" by fining him) for being a lifesaving hero--is institutionalized evil. Why, as a (theoretically) free citizen, does any American tolerate this?

NO! What part of the word N-O do you NOT understand!

Stalin, Mao and Hitler would be proud of this prosecutor.

I've started keeping my own little list of "Intolerable Acts". This is on it.

How do so many Americans tolerate this? The same way that Germans tolerated the development of Hitler's Nazi staat.

The power of state coercion is most effective when it actually generates fear in the people. Take away that fear, and the state loses one of its best weapons.

Like Evey in 'V for Vendetta', once we shed our fear of the police state, there is nothing they can do that will deter the brave from destroying the accursed machine.

Let's hope that this gentleman has the courage to refuse to pay, and that his fellow citizens back his play... and not let the police state take him away.

Of course, this is why we have guns.

Yeah, sure, it's institutionalized evil. Guess what you get with government institutions? It's not just in DC folks. It's in the structure of government institutions, every one of them based fundamentally on violence. Try to imagine some way of having these institutions without getting the evil along with it. I sure can't...

Its time to start BREAKING these illegitimate "laws" each and every chance we get,on purpose, and with zeal.

Carry guns without permission.

Own guns that aren't "allowed".

Sell guns to whomever you like.

When the "law" becomes evil, good men DISOBEY.

in Germany was 'legal' and everything the Hungarian freedom fighters did
in Hungary was 'illegal.'" --Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968)

Mr. Srigley (the owner of the firearms) should go before the media and make it known that if ever faced with this choice again, he'll just let the child be mauled to death.

Maybe then the idiots will see the folly of their 'laws'....but I doubt it.
