Now that's just funny right there. I'll bet these guys rules of engagement get changed after this.

San Diego cops in tense 2-hour standoff with an empty car. Good thing the car didn't twitch. You wouldn't catch a self-respecting constitutional militia unit doing this. Within 5 minutes, we'd just pick the newbie and tell him to go check it out and try not to get his head blown off.

Man! I'd have LOVED to wire that car up with a speaker, an amp, and radio remote control. Think of the possibilities.
"Boo!!"
(BAM!)
"Ouch! Now why'd you have go go & do that!"
etc, etc, . . . . .

I once heard, or read, that Police Departments and other agencies would not hire people with high IQ's. Also, standards were reduced in the era of affirmative action, further reducing the effectiveness of Departments and Agencies. Well, this is one result, among thousands of other examples, across the former Republic! With each passing day, we act more like a third world nation than most third world nations. Makes me sick!

Jeez! Those jackasses are living in a fantasy world.

At least all the officers went home safe. Isn't that the only thing that matters?

I'm a little surprised they didn't riddle the car with bullets and then claim it shot first.

Did you see the other story about the cop whose dispatcher was giving him real-time GPS updates on a car he was supposed to be chasing - where he turned out to be chasing himself?? Yes, really!

There are so many comments I want to make about this. Those cops need to lose their badges… the idea of a standoff with an empty car is bad enough, but at the end of the video one of the officers says they didn’t close the freeway because there was no chance of cross-fire because of the way they would have been shooting into the car. Now, that may sound plausible to your average voter, unless you realize that they consider the “suspect” ARMED & dangerous. OK, so the ARMED suspect wouldn’t return fire? Or do they think they’re so good he’d never get a shot off? THESE cops think they’re that good?

Holy crap... And I have to continuously justify why I have no respect for the badge anymore.

I'm just glad those hero cops got to go home safe that night! We need to ban assault vehicles, they're a danger to the public and took those brave officers away from revenuing and n!gger hunting.
