Cops should have hit OWNER'S propaganda rep with charges but chose not to bite the hand that feeds them.

There fixed it for you.

There you go, yet another glaring example of the double standard. Gregory wasn't arrested because he's a good little liberal hoplophobe just making the point as to how EEEE-VIL 30 round magazines are, and bans do nothing but save children's lives. To quote the article, "The MPD recommended a warrant for Gregory’s arrest, but that request was nixed by the D.C. Attorney General Irvin Nathan because — my paraphrase — Gregory was just too nice a guy and had no other criminal intent.”

I am a nice guy with no criminal intentions. Yet, if I get caught with items now prohibited by the State of CT, I will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, according to Comrade Lawlor. No matter, I continue to NOT COMPLY!

So. . . . no arrest because smarmy Dave was a nice guy with no prior arrest record. (ANd he's a DEMOCRATIC high profile public figure). Even though the law was flagrantly broken. On TV. With millions watching.
But if you or I, under the EXACT SAME CIRCUMSTANCES (nice guy, no record, but NOT a high-profile DEMONRAT) were to do the same, we'd be thrown so far under the jail that only now would you be finding out where we are, and what happened.

Equal justice - vs - social justice. Says it all.

Neither Gregory, or anyone else, ought to be prosecuted for this "crime". I'm not a fan of a double standard, but charging this smarmy wouldn't have been right, either. NO ONE ought to be charged for possession of a magazine, firearm, or ammo. It's a bad law.

I happen to have a couple of 90 round mags for my AR and only one 80 round mag for my AK. Don't think I will be taking them to DC unless they are all FULLY LOADED.
