Gee, I remember when being a "collaborator" was a bad thing. The GOP establishment attack on Justin Amash because he's not "a collaborator."

A U.S. Army photograph after the liberation of Paris shows women collaborators with their heads shaved and swastikas painted on their foreheads being forced to walk through the streets of the city, to the delight of other women who didn't sleep with the Germans.
From a Pravda-on-the-Potomac story in October:
Here in the Dutch Reformed country of West Michigan, long a bastion of mainstream, mannerly conservatism, voters in 2010 handed the House seat once held by Gerald R. Ford to Justin Amash, a 33-year-old revolutionary and heir to the libertarian mantle of former congressman Ron Paul (R-Tex.). Amash was part of an attempted coup against House Speaker John A. Boehner (R- Ohio) and is a leader of the House tea party faction that helped force a government shutdown last week.
But within Grand Rapids’ powerful business establishment, patience is running low with Amash’s ideological agenda and tactics. Some business leaders are recruiting a Republican primary challenger who they hope will serve the old-fashioned way — by working the inside game and playing nice to gain influence and solve problems for the district. They are tired of tea party governance, as exemplified by the budget fight that led to the shutdown and threatens a first-ever U.S. credit default. . .
Some prominent business leaders are lining up behind investment manager Brian Ellis, according to several GOP operatives here. . .
Meg Goebel, president of the Paul Goebel Group, an insurance agency, said she is “really, really unhappy” with the leading role Amash has played in tying the health-care law to overall government funding.
“I don’t see him as a collaborator, and I think that’s a huge problem,” Goebel, a former chair of the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce, said. . .
Here in Amash’s Grand Rapids district, several well-known executives who are said to have promised their support to Ellis did not respond to requests for interviews. But Katie Packer Gage, a former senior aide to Romney and a Michigan GOP operative, said, “The business community in Grand Rapids has been completely disenchanted with Amash.”
Poor babies.
Politico also reported that a lobbyist wailed: "I don’t think Justin Amash cares if Bank of America gives to him or not."
Amash recently responded.
West Michigan supports me because I reject business as usual: I never miss a vote, publicly explain every vote, and get the job done for all my constituents, not just the elite insiders my opponent seeks to represent. My approach to representation appears to confuse the political class. Over the next eight months, I look forward to helping Washington, Wall Street, and their yes-men understand.

Being from west Michigan and Grand Rapids specifically, Amash gets huge support from his constituents.

Yes, there are some big money supporters who are going with a big business candidate, but the biggest names in west Michigan (folks who are personally known internationally and not just for the business that they started) are hugely, hugely behind Amash.

He (Amash) is one of the few folks in Congress who is actually basing his decisions on Constitutional grounds.

Interestingly, he is also part-Lebanese so perhaps it's racially motivated...right?

We need more like Amash and less collaborator whores like Feinstein, Pelosi, Boxer, etc. and their male prostitute counterparts.

I am proud to say that Justin Amash is my Congressman. I was very happy when redistricting put me into his district and out of the district of Congressman Lightbulb Ban. Justin is a leader. He has the guts to stand up to the weak and feckless leadership that runs the House. Along with Senator's Mike Lee, Rand Paul and Ted Cruz he represents the kind of leadership that has been lacking in Congress and that America has been crying for. Because these men are the leaders of the future they represent a threat to the status quo. The old guard seeks to hang onto their power but it has eroded over the years.Their day has passed. We need more Tea Party members elected to Congress. To bad that Mitch the Bitch hasn't the guts to take on Harry Ass Reid and Dear Leader but now says the Gutless Old Party needs to stand up to the Tea Party.Piss poor choice of deciding who is the enemy. I believe he was one of those that disparaged the Christian Conservatives of the Reagan years. The biggest reason Congressional approval is in the toilet is because they won't remove a criminal lawless POTUS. People have a sense of what is wrong and right and they know and understand that something is very wrong and has been for years. The idea that people want cooperation between the parties is bullshit. What we want is more members acting like Justin and some of the other Tea Party caucus members. Stand up for the PEOPLE not the party.

Big businessmen in west Michigan are traitors if they back the RINO challenger. When the revolution starts they will not escape their just rewards.

This article is proof positive of what's wrong with the system. If an honest person is attacked for not taking big PAC money, he needs to stay in Washington DC. They won't like the consequences if the voters can't get what they want by voting.

Of course, many of us that are fed up might choose to cast many votes no matter if there's an election cycle on or not.
