DARPA's Cheetah.

Fifty Caliber AP, and aim for the brain box.

I'm suddenly reminded of the fire house "dog" in Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451".

I was thinking of "Screamers", forgot all about "Fahrenheit 451". 5.56 or .308 AP would probably do the trick.

Freefor needs to be working on low-yield, highly portable EMP devices. Perhaps magnetic like a limpet mine.

Several years back I saw something on Discovery about a grid that could be spread across a highway to fry the engine control computer of a vehicle (intended to stop someone in a high speed pursuit). A similar device should be effective against this sort of tech.

No need to waste a 50BMG round on that thing, looks like hydraulics, 5.56 should suffice.....;-)

It's not biological, so the range will be limited to how much fuel it can carry. Track it back and find the depot or launch center. Wonder how far you could get with a hijacked one?

This kind of thing clarifies why we need to cut our national govt substantially. The feds are using our money, talent, time to make these things to use against us with no casualties on their part.

Normally, cost considerations would limit this, and human involvement provides a natural check and balance. But once you turn it into a video game, the paradigm shift has occurred.

Think of a Waco-style assault conducted by drone and robot attack. While it would still be awful, it would happen rapidly with little fanfare. The ATF shootout and FBI standoff at least enabled the country to take a look at the enemy and think about it for a while.
