As if everything else wasn't enough, this poor excuse of a government has crossed the line with its latest National Defense Authorization Act bill.

Ironically, they've finally figured out a way to bring citizens of all political parties, races, religions, incomes, etc. together in solidarity against them. Maybe it's the wakeup call we needed, maybe it will get legs with the soon-to-be-defunct mainstream media.

People Fear Government More Than Big Business

I would like to think that MTV gets it. They don't. This is all about 4 more years of Obama. Drink the kool-aid, not the tea.

Heavy shit.

The nerve of those fear-mongering bastards, trying to rile up our young people to think the U.S. government might do such things to our own people!

Everyone knows it can't happen here, and THEY would never bother US. All we're doing is....

I hope it wakes up some young folks. If MTV does it, can Cartoon Network be far behind? Let's hope not.

I'm going to hang with a commenter on another page. I hate fighting in winter. Let's hope they wait a bit so we can have an American Spring.

Pretty strong stuff from a liberal bunch like MTV. Maybe they can wake up the younger set that thinks government is good.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

First of all, Bravo! to MTV for making those very brave statements.

Secondly, the Holocaust didn't happen to people exactly like us; they had been disarmed first.

On the other hand, while we may still have our guns, we (in general) have been disarmed of our will to shoot cops and soldiers who need to be shot. And, any cop/soldier busting down a door in the middle of the night, or manning a road block/"checkpoint", or enforcing any "law" that isn't about theft, an attack on the innocent, or trespassing on individually-owned private property needs to be shot. They are no different than any other thug who is a mortal threat to the innocent. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but it is true. And the denial of that truth is what has allowed the situation to get to this point.

It is also suicide to act on that fact at this point in time. You may be a martyr; you WILL be called a "terrorist" (for killing terrorists), but you will be dead, and your family may also be dead since the gang you stood up to likes to kill innocent people.

People say we shouldn't fire the first shot. It's a little late to be worrying about that since the bad guys have been firing the shots at us for decades.

Still, I don't want to be shooting at anyone- I want to be left alone to live life as I see fit while harming no one. If I attack or steal, I know I have no right to do those things and I understand there will be consequences.

I'm not looking for a war, so why do the feds and their local co-conspirators keep insisting on starting one? Because they are the bad guys.

Yeah, but it could never happen here.

Don't believe what you see or hear, just believe what we tell you to. Oh and don't repeat any of that other junk you hear to anyone else either or you might be considered disloyal and counter revolutionary.

I watched these "ads" and wondered, they're good, but what's their point? To get angry? If so, at who? To submit? As a warning? If so, what's the preparation?

@Kent: "Secondly, the Holocaust didn't happen to people exactly like us; they had been disarmed first."

Guns won't save anyone, at least not in and of themselves. Croatians, Bosnians, and Kosovars all had at least some access to guns, and it didn't do them a lick of good. The Tutsis and Twa in Rwanda didn't have many guns, but their killers didn't have many, either.

Want to live? Better have organized forces with heavy weapons.

These ads are from back in the 90s...

MTV ran them in opposition to whatever Republican was running at the time.

The funny thing about these leftist inspired video messages is, the OWS types who produce them believe the TEA Party types are the ones who want to subjugate them.

Weren't these made during - and aimed directly at - the Bush Administration? Along with the "zomg, Bushhitler is going to restart teh draft!" hysteria?

This is about the last straw, where are the sheeple of America? There needs to be a massive movement started quickly to challenge this unconstitutional nightmare in court before the ink dries. This is a clear illustration of how disconnected from reality Washington politicians are. This is not 1930s Germany. And if they think theyre going to send the Obama Einsatzgruppen out here they are in for a real education!
