More ATF Follies: Your tax dollars at work. Another example of ATF senior executives' fidelity to duty.

Y'all are gonna love this report of the Office of Inspector General on the activities of a former high-ranking member of ATF's Atlanta and Houston offices. CPT R.A. Bear says that this is but the tip of the iceberg of misconduct by this woman -- and of the incredible cover-up by the3 Chief Counsel's Office of other misdeeds and law breaking by her. The long collapse of the agency continues . . .

Whatever became of Russell 'gloryhole' Vanderwerf (Houston office atf), arrested in Louisiana last Dec. for damaging his hotel room by among other things, setting up an apparent anonymous sexual servicing device in place of an inner suite door?

Just wondering...

Think he got promoted and is now writing policy for "peeping" on the the pervs abusing ATF bathrooms.

He is a recognized expert on pervery, peeping and abusing bathrooms.

Here, here! Let's not be casting first stone. Sure, Vanderperv, uh, werf, may have had his little peccadildo, uh, dilloes, but don't we all? How can we judge him unless we've walked a mile in his G-string and pasties? Remember, the ATF are there to help us, becuase THEY know what we need much better than we do!!

How do we speed up this collapse? This house of anti-constitutional cards needs to collapse for the best interests of all.

Alright...

I read the whole bloody thing. First, I found it INCREDIBLY striking how certain "agents" totally threw her under the bus and others knew absolutely nothing "negative" about her at all.

While some of that could be fear of retaliation or the so-called "blue wall of silence" I get the feeling there's a whole lot more to it than that. Frankly it seems more akin to the "dark brown wall of silence."

It bugs HELL out of me that I even feel obligated to SAY this, but... That's not a racist statement, but rather an observation of racist behavior I've seen and even experienced before.

The most amazing parts to me were:
(1) She used ATF agents to watch her dogs and act as waiters at her dinner parties? Anyone want to guess the melanin load of the "Servants"?

(2) "..He believes SACs are untouchable in the ATF. _____ was trained in an ATF culture that condones her behavior. She is a product of her environment..."

and

"...____ manages through fear and intimidation. She's an 'old school' supervisor. She's a master of knowing what she can get away with without crossing the line. The morale in the office is very low and it is partially due to ____'s management style..."

(3) I also found it particularly troubling how much local stuff the ATF is involved in. Serial arson in a city? Shootings at a mall? Is this REALLY the business of ANY Federal agency - much less the BATFEces? If one REALLY feels the Feds should be involved at all, shouldn't it be the fibbies?

(4) I hesitate to say this, but it NEEDS to be said, and I'm damn tired of ignoring the elephant in the room. Overall, this woman seems to me to be a PERFECT example of the problems with "affirmative action."

Whether she was promoted to her position because of AA or not is unknown, but the APPEARANCE is there and that in itself is a BIG problem IMHO.

A good black friend once told me "If I ever need brain surgery I want a white guy, because I don't want my last thought as the lights go out to be 'I hope this guy's here because he's GOOD - not because he's BLACK'..." The unfortunate fact is that ALL of us - black or white feel this way, no thinking person could be otherwise in this screwed-up bass-ackwards nation.

If we as a society feel we still need to do more to make up for evils of a century-and-a-half ago (or, arguably, even a half-century ago) then let's concentrate on paying for college for the best, brightest and poorest - not give anyone a pass (like the lego-test for entry into engineering school) based solely on skin-color.

A former coworker was a first-generation American - his ancestors were NEVER slaves, nor did he ever live in poverty or under segregation - yet he was given all sorts of freebies based on AA.

IMHO he proved he was a "real American" when he took what was offered and takes every opportunity to point out how INSANE it all is...

I long for a world where "Children (and adults) are judged by the content of their character (and their performance, talents and abilities) and not the color of their skin" - which in today's world makes me a racist.

God help us...

So what is this woman's name? Even though they've redacted her name in the report, it shouldn't be THAT hard to find out using the rest of the information in the report.

Good news, I am 99% sure that I figure out who this corrupt woman is. If it's not Vanessa L. McLemore then this is one HELL of a coincidence.

OH AND THE BEST PART, HER FELLOW CORRUPT THUGS GAVE HER A PARTY ON JAN 23RD 2009 TO "CELEBRATE HER CAREER." This is why I keep my puke bucket close to the computer.

The turd in question here was SAC in ATL - doesn't quite add up...

Look closer Patrick. This disgusting woman moved about 10 times during her "career" on the government dole. The opening post in this very blog entry mentions her time in Houston.

Trust me, it's her. I did a lot of OCD style checking and rechecking before I posted this.

From second hand accounts, she was HELL to work for (typical affirmative action b#$ch). This is apparently why she was transferred so much, TWICE back to headquarters (where they could keep an eye on her). They had to bring in a "special agent in charge" (identical position) from Baltimore to clean up her mess and restore morale. The current director of the Atlanta division is the guy from Baltimore. I would have loved to be a fly on his wall in the first days after he took over :D
