Anonymous said...: Yeah, this comes up every so often. Detroit, Flint, and the Detroit suburbs have been going down the drain since the 70s and 80s.

Then someone mentions the population of Detroit is over 80% black and people lose interest real real fast.

Or that the razed neighborhoods might be converted to another metro park, or that they're doing architectural deconstruction on the better houses guts.

Otherwise, the abandoned houses are simply breeding grounds for rats and other vermin. They become crack houses, meth labs, or places to unload drums of toxic waste, junk, etc.
