Now some might file this under logistics and some under investment. . . Me, I'd file it under both.

Ammoman has GI crates of .40 S&W Expanding Full Metal Jacket! One can, 650 rounds, for $249.00 delivered or a crate of two cans, 1,300 rounds, for $450.00 delivered:
40 S/W EFMJ 165 GRAIN
EXPANDING FULL METAL JACKET
SEALED MILITARY AMMO CANS
13 BOXES OF 50 ROUNDS EACH
650 ROUNDS PER CAN
I don't have a .40 and I don't have any money, but even if I had the money and not the pistol, I'd still buy these as an investment.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't expanding rounds a violation of the Hague Convention?

these are "humane" expanding rounds, because we say so. All inconvenient words will be re-defined to mean what they need to mean when we say them.

I don't have .40S&W either, but a whole lotta cops have Glocks in that cartridge.

Cheers.

Expanding rounds are not a violation of the Hague Convention as the user is not using them in a properly declared war. These rounds are popular where hollow point ammunition is prohibited, like in Europe. FWIW

That is pretty expensive, you can get good fmj under $150 delivered for 500 rounds or good hollow points for under $180 delivered.

This ammo must have failed a QC inspection. Uncle uses this for 'anti-terrorist' purposes (thus bypassing The Hague accords about expanding projectiles) and is certainly not surplusing any that I know.
I'm not saying it's bad ammo, just that Uncle's quality requirements probably weren't met.
This happens quite a bit.
You can see all the 'XM193' and 'XM855' on the market. Same thing, not bad ammo, just not passed by a picky inspector.

Anon,
I'm just saying, that the ammo is advertised as "Military" and either it's misleading or it's a war crime waiting to happen. Not a bad price if you shoot the Short & Weak. Why can't I ever find prices like this in my calibers?

That's good ammo. I shoot the 180 grain, and it's good stuff.

It says GI crates, not GI ammo....

And I don't follow the Hague anyway. ;-)

It's good stuff, anyway. Good find, Mike.
