And they thought the fix was in. "Not good news for Main Justice, not the Bureau... just how bad is the question..."
A good friend in northern Virginia sent me this: "‘Whitey’ Bulger judge removed from trial." His comment was: "Not good news for Main Justice, not the Bureau... just how bad is the question..." He's dead on the money. They've got to be shakin' and quakin' in the Hoover Building over this one.
A federal appeals court has agreed to a defense request to remove the judge who was set to preside over the trial of accused gangster James "Whitey" Bulger.
The 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Thursday that U.S. District Judge Richard Stearns must step down from Bulger's case.
Bulger's lawyers argued that Stearns should be removed from the case because he was a federal prosecutor in Boston in the 1980s. At the time, Bulger was working as an FBI informant while allegedly committing crimes, including murder.
Bulger claims he received immunity for his crimes from another federal prosecutor who worked in the same office as Stearns while Bulger was giving the FBI information on the Mafia.

Holy mother of justice. Bwahahahahahaha! DOJ Prosecutor becomes Judge in same case. Fucking priceless. The Parallel Universe of DOJ Illegal Bullshit notwithstanding, I'd submit this Judge has just been smacked up side the head by REAL accountability, not to mention looking like a complete buffoon. I mean..he really tried to pull this off? Sheeezus, the Big Bang of Stupidity just got a new standard.
Did you mean lateral position or horizontal position?
When the Boston field office of the FBI got in bed with the mafia, little did they know it'd come back to bite them in the ass over and over. Of course, they did get away clean with the same thing in Cleveland, Youngstown and Pittsburgh.
