It doesn't take long to dump the folks who got you there.

Fact is they(the republicans) don't have anyone else to run. I am a native Kentuckyan and I'm here to tell ya' , most of us don't want Mitch. We just have no one else to run. The "Tea Party" is seen as a bunch of nut jobs in most of Ky. They run- they lose. It's ether Mitch or Jerry the Farrie in 2014,and Jerry is somewhere to the left of Bloomberg. You want the nightmare statest in the congress, that will be Jerry Abramson. He makes Bloomberg look like Nixon. Rand Paul seems to have a pretty good handle on Ky voters. You don't.

He dumped them clear back when he endorsed Romney...

Are you really criticizing Rand for not supporting someone who isn't there? If they had a viable candidate running against McConnell, I might agree with you, but currently there's NO ONE AT ALL running against him in the primaries. McConnell has also been throwing some of his weight around helping Rand lately, including supporting his filibuster. This decision doesn't really affect my opinion of Rand.

I have said this all along: Rand is not his father. He is a politician, and is willing to do whatever it takes to advance his career. His father was a once in a century type liberty movement creator, who knows that when you compromise and make deals with the Devil, you become compromised yourself. That is why the neo-con establishment and GOP party hated Ron so much because they could not influence him one bit.

He took his message directly to the people and now in turn they are the ones changing the GOP and forcing them to talk about things they once dismissed as loony tunes like the Fed.

Ron is a once in a lifetime type person in DC, and I still don't understand how someone who was so honest was able to continue to be elected to congress even if he did deliver so many babies.

Rand is not Ron. Rand is honestly like Obama in a lot of ways - not his political views - but in how he manages to try and bullshit both his father's base of voters into supporting him and the neo-con base of the GOP.

So, NOBODY in Kentucky is a straightforward defender of the Republic huh? NOT ONE of the TEA parties are anything but wacko birds, huh? Jeez.

The GOP is flexing its muscle and I've been through my last election supporting the "lesser of Two Evils" candidate. I'd rather see that looney tune Democrat in office instead of a fake republican. Here's why.

What the looney tunes DO demonstrates why they shouldn't be elected. Colorado. New York. Illinois. Ahem.
This galvanizes the people against them more than whiner GOPers who "reach out" to the squishy middle.

Rand pushed people away with the pathway to citizenship. He's turning people off with this fiasco. He has ruined 2016 chances already for the Executive position and he's working on alienating people enough to lose that senate position. He will lose moe votes than he gains - which is WHY republicans lost three elections in a row.

I tried to believe that the nut fell far enough from the tree to matter but evidently I hoped got a bridge too far. Sad it is.

McConnell is like an old shitty diaper that needs changin', bad.
Everyone in the room can smell it, but nobody's stepping up to do the deed.

I keep hearing this argument of choosing a lesser of evils.. as if that is a winning choice. If there really isnt anyone to run against a quisling mutt then maybe its time citizens stepped up and did their duty to oust the miscreant enemy agents of influence.. whats to lose since you'd only be replacing a part time American it should be an easy job.

Well In Kentucky we have a real choice Rand Paul and Mitch the bitch. OR a Rageing homosexual ,rabidly Anti-Gun, Anti-self defence Pro-UN arms treaty, Statest ,named Jerry Abramson (D. Louisville) now witch do y'all think I should vote for? The TEA party never made the last PRIMARY. OH!! and FYI Jerry A. was Mayor of Louisville for over 20 years , in that time he tried repeatedly to outlaw gun ownership in Jefferson co. AND the SOB WORSHIPs Obama. He would vote to make him "president for life" in a heartbeat. SO .. Y'all want us to toss out Mitch.--- Jerry is the next guy in line.

When there are no choices create one, run yourself or create a draft to put your own in place.. as a last resort pump up a write in campaign of protest and have everyone write in Thomas Jefferson.
People must come together but its easier on that scale than nationwide.. better a vote for the right person or against the wrong one in protest than one of convenience because its always against your best interests by design.

Sometimes it's worth making a deal. now the headlines read: "As Obama presses Congress on gun controls, McConnell says he'd join GOP filibuster"

So, maybe instead of losing a Rand we gained a Mitch?
