Horrific? This well-intentioned guy leaves out so much in terms of COMMUNITY preparedness and organization that his efforts to "educate" will merely lead to his own victimization at the hands of the grasshoppers.

"Hard Core Realities: How Horrific Will It Be For People That Fail to Prep."

Must be a slow day, to give stature to that trash? When Perception meets Reality it will all become crystal as to what truth and real wealth in fact is. Depending upon your definition of what is, "is". B-4

There can be no community preparedness without a community of preppers.

There can be no community of preppers without sufficient numbers of preppers.

I don't see how denigration efforts to increase the number of preppers serves community preparedness.

Chiu ChunLing is right on the money. Exactly correct.
Denigrating the effort to increase the number of preppers is counterproductive to community preparedness.

Some of the sad realities of prepping are these: many won't or don't listen to the warnings and you may lead a horse to water but unless you are willing to suck on his ass, chances are you can't make him drink; and prosletizing for preparedness and sharing information increases personal risk. I have learned that opsec is a critical part of getting ready for whatever is coming, especially if I want to take care of my family first, which I do and will. People who see the need to prep are already forming carefully vetted communities and don't need to push the obvious or engender needless risk by being a public lightening rod for opportunists and predators. A prepared community is essential to long term survival but balancing risk and need is very delicate. It needs to be a quiet, private conversation, so to speak. And survival prep is inherently selfish. Its not that we don't care about others or recognize strength in numbers, we simply care about our own first and most of us have sounded the alarm too often to too many deaf ears. See you on the other side... maybe.

Well, the article was more relevant a few years ago.

At this point in time, there's barely time left to help committed preppers in your area form a community, trying to persuade people who still don't get it shouldn't take priority over that.

Of course, part of OPSEC is keeping the enemy in the dark about your degree of OPSEC. You can pretend to have more or less going on in secret than you really do, to that end.

I like to pretend to have more secrets than I really have...or do I?

There is a huge difference between preppers and a revolutionary militia. One is a person who prepare to survive, the other prepares to fight and survive a war. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Dont confuse the two.

We fight to win.

Survival is secondary.
