Yep. The Fudds are jumping up and down now, you betcha. "Gun ammunition ban draws fire on Capitol Hill."

“Under no circumstances should ATF adopt a standard that will ban ammunition that is overwhelmingly used by law-abiding Americans for legitimate purposes,” the lawmakers wrote in the letter to ATF Director B. Todd Jones. The letter was signed by 239 House lawmakers, including Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.) and seven Democrats.

SHOULD?
How about CAN?
How about - under no circumstances CAN the ATF ban ammunition? How about legislation thats binding rather than a impotent begging letter?

Dog and pony show!!!

Maybe the legislators on our side, the freedom side that is, could offer to cut the ATF budget by 20% until they stop infringing. Naw, never happen, but nice to contemplate.

I'm sure ATF Director B. Todd Jones B. Very Scared after receiving that letter, too.

Honestly, the pretense of protest among politicians and bureaucrats is just funny anymore. Who can take it seriously?

The Congress has so much more authority to do something about these abuses of government than they wield. To me, that speaks volumes.

RE: only 7 Dems??

Well, did you really expect anything else?

I'm totally surprised that even 7 of them signed it.

Lets see if they have the balls to take back their law making authority from the puppet thugs at the BATFE.

When it comes to taking back authority-
When tobacco regulation was moved over to FDA, I suspected that the ATF was a short timer and prolly DEA too. That was the first step. Congress doesn't want authority back because then they get responsibility back too - meaning they couldn't write and sign letters like this one....they would actually be vulnerable to accountability. Can't be havin that!!

How about a letter "demanding" they stop or lose all funding. Congress is supposed to be holding the purse stings. We need someone with the balls to pull the purse closed. It sure won't be that quisling traitor Bohner. That about the most useless son of a bitch in DC. I still haven't figured out how he retained his position. He must have some good pictures of a lot of repubs.

Oh, that's an easy one. He doesn't have any convictions much less the balls to fight for them if he had any. As such he is the perfect representative for his GOP moderate wing and the majority of his constituents.

OK....so he's better than Princess Nancy. But better for whom exactly?

The right to keep and bear arms is limited

Huh? How about SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED!

Yeah, it's LIMITED to KEEPING and BEARING!!!
The ninth is pure madness. It says the exact opposite of what the Second ITSELF says (demonstrating WHY it says it in the first place ....to defend against idiocy like that).

Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wi) introduced a bill to abolish ATF. That should preclude the ATF from banning anything. See Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article at:
