funny that he spoke of 'freedom or slavery', when he was a slaveholder himself.
I guess he knew which side of that equation, he preferred.

Now there's a guy who "get's it"! Henry was always my personal favorite among Founding Fathers. And the story of what he saw that led him to that speech is another matter. He asked what a man had done to deserve the flogging he was receiving and was told that the man was preaching without a license. I do believe that got him pretty wound up....He understood how tyranny creeps, a little at a time, until you have nothing to fight with and are under constant surveillance. Like what's happening now....Henry - my kinda guy!..
