Read this through, twice, then think how the cluelessness and inbred insularity of the Mandarin class applies to their failure to understand US and the Law of Unintended Consequences as well.

"Putin vs. the preppies and the Ph.D.s: Outsiders, not insiders, change the world."

This is the money quote for me;
"The mandarin’s distaste for physicality: We are led through blood-smeared times by those who’ve never suffered a bloody nose."

The so called "leaders" of the free world are an effete bunch of snots, who've never even dusted it up on the school playground. They have avoided or outright run away from any real tough choices. They have nothing in common with real men and women living the real world and oh, Dear! Won't they be surprised when they finally get that whack in the head called real consequences for pushing real people too damn far?

Brilliant article. Just watched the first episode on WWI on AHC and its like watching today's CNN report on world events. These over educated, under experienced, limp wristed fops in our government are going to dick around and have us in a shooting war with the Russians. No one will be more surprised than the Nobel winner in the White House, who was elected to heal the wounds of the world. The sorority sisters in the State Department are playing a dangerous game, while Kerry wonders what just happened. The embassy in Saudi Arabia is closed for two days, undisclosed threat, but Americans are advised to not travel unless necessary. Our kids and grand kids are going to pay for this crap with their blood. Ooh, gotta go. Dancing With the Stars is coming on the tube.

I love Ralph Peters...he makes that empty suit in the Whitehouse so confused he can't decide if he should shit or go blind.

The best example I can think of was the Versailles Treaty, which ended WW1. Crafted by top hatted aristocrats, it was a dismal failure that left festering wounds all over the world. Our representative, Virginia gentleman Woodrow Wilson, walked away, because his pet projects weren't seriously discussed.

WW2 was ended by Stalin, a failed monk and successful communist bank robber, and Harry Truman, an artillery captain and failed businessman. Truman dropped the bomb which saved millions of American lives.

Adolf Hitler was a penniless Austrian, who was masterful at telling his audience what they wanted to hear. Given German citizenship through a ploy by Goehring,he used the brownshirted SA to build up his party. then discarded SA after being elected Chancellor, in favor of Himmler's SS. He played classes and groups off against each other until "no one was left" to oppose him. I am not a fan, as Hitler was a statist murderer.

Elites are only so in their minds, unless they convince the electorate by various ruses. Without the 1%, you have the 99% who does the real work.

We fought the Revolutionary War for many reasons, one of which was to be free of the parasitic British aristocracy.

Russian people are similar to ourselves. They are patriotic, work hard, and want the best for their families. We have no quarrel with them.

The absence of term limits in our Constitution has given us our own parasitic class, Congress and the ever growing federal government. They have their own agenda, and our interests are not what drivs it.

Sorry for the long post.

And so the script for the inevitable end to this mess is, for all intents and purposes, inevitable.....

Chaos - which I believe may begat opportunity for righting the sinking ship.

It will be close to the Monty Python bit - "Run away, run away!" - those who don't run away will have an opportunity to fill the void left by the nattering nabobs who will be scampering for their fortified islands.

The same principles will apply domestically. Those over-educated elite snobs that think they can "rule and govern" the masses because certain groups in the populace stand with their hands out for more of Santa's goodies are NOT the majority. They are going to be surprised when they finally cross that line and this shit explodes in their faces. Maybe their last thought after the noose snaps their brain stem will be "Oh My God...were we wrong????"

Very astute analysis. Makes you wonder if being the "world leader" is even something we should aspire to. Not only are we not competent to deal with the world, but the unintended consequences of bad decisions drives our leaders to offer us trade-offs of "security" for freedom in our own homeland.

One unintended consequence Ron Paul frequently brings up is the carpet bombing of Cambodia by Nixon. Before the bombings Pol Pot's followers numbered in the couple thousands. After the bombings they surged to a couple hundred thousand and the Khmer Rouge was able to take over the country, the end result of which was genocide for millions.

The old Right, the 18th Century Whigs who founded this country, believed in commerce with all, alliance with none.
They had wisdom. Princeton doesn't, e.g., seat of the neo-Tories.

I know more than a couple Active Army Officers who will dismiss Peters as either overly simplistic or else out of touch. This article is neither and speaks directly to the elitism and snobbery we have allowed to infect every facet of our lives. Wether it is the NRA, the JPFO, the RNC or the Boy Scouts, this is the real reason for the fight.

The first thing we need to do is get rid of the Federal Department of Education. The Republicans said they wanted to years ago, but didn't do it. The panty-waist PC bullshit indoctrination taught in our schools is tied to the fact we have Federal control of education.

Terrific article, but forgot to mention the one other thing in the equation - the payoffs to the Ivy League dummies from foreign corporations and bankers..but otherwise it was right on the money
