Clinton Presses Forward On Plan to Make Gun Control Her Reason For Defeat In 2016

Despite the spectacular failure of long-time allies Terry McAuliffe and Michael Bloomberg to make gun control a winning issue in Virginia last night, Hillary Clinton has apparently made the decision to make undermining a core human and Constitutional right the core focus of her campaign:

We gotta make sure this horrible witch doesn't win, even if it means voting for a squishy "moderate" RINO. Yeah, I know, Civil War II will probably happen sooner or later, but why be eager to get something this horrific started??

What the hell did anybody expect from a power hungry communist? Guns makes it especially difficult to dictate to the "peasants".

Be warned... When the picture at the beginning of the linked article came on the screen I noticed my wall clock stopped working. After scrolling a bit all is well again. Luckily my new watch is in the other room. The only thing missing is some flying monkeys.

Mike,

Since it is still early in this election cycle, I would suggest that Clinton is just getting this issue out of the way early. She is making a strong stand on it now, to satisfy the hard left base; once she has made her point to them she will not bring it up for the rest of the campaign. Those who love her will remember, and add it to the list of reasons they love her. (We who despise her will likewise remember.)

But for the "undecided", or the moderate democrat for whom gun control is anathema, as the months of this campaign grind on, it will recede in memory, and by next November, it won't be anywhere except in our steel-trap memories: we don't forget or forgive: frankly even if she announced today that she has had a change of heart and now supports gun ownership and will work to overturn NFA 1934, GCA 68 and all the rest, I still would not vote for her for a long list of other reasons.

No, I don't think she has any real interest in the issue apart from a) how it can get her votes, and b) how it can diminish her political enemies. She may be despicable but she is far from stupid; she knows this is a campaign killer. This is an early fashion statement, that's all, and it will soon be replaced.

All this, by the way, is an opinion, and that and $2 will get you a cup of coffee in a cheap diner.

The idea that we "gotta vote for a squishy rino" to avoid Hillary is the exact same game plan called "dole", "McCain" and "Romney".
It doesn't work. Check this out - voting for the lesser of two evils only ensures evil gets the vote. Last time out- many saw only evil choices and decided to stay home, joining the many who have already washed their hands of our pathetic "elections". If the Republican Party and Democrat party join again to arrange evil versus lesser evil - even more will set out, choosing instead to prepare to battle both evils outside the rigged game they play.
Unless this election plays out as a real choice of one or the other -liberty vs government, capitalism vs socialism, rights vs permissions, then permissive socialist government will "win" election while the Citizenslook outside election and petition to "convince" those who will treat us a subjects that we won't BE subjects. Ever. So you see, the real choice this time around is - how far do the controllers think they can push before we push back?

Go ahead, push the "vote rino to avoid Hillary" bullshit, see what it gets ya.

Has Dear Hilary learnt nothing from Dear Leader?

Don't tear the mask off to expose the grinning skull until AFTER being "elected" ...

Perhaps she simply believes in her Satan-given right to rule?

I, for one, remember during Bill's presidency when Eric Holder as deputy AG was being questioned about the AWB. Holder, in response to a question about the Constitutionality of such a ban smiled into the camera and said, "This administration does not believe that individuals have the right to own firearms".
She really means it.

She has Romney's 47% behind her, come hell or high water. She knows it and they know it. All the monstrous amounts of money and media agitprop will be poured into the 200 or so blue counties that control our nation in the electoral college. The probability that they will simply seize power and hold our Republic's head underwater for the next eight years -- and derail the Supreme Court for the foreseeable future -- is very real, friends.

Prices for guns and ammo and reloading components have relaxed somewhat post Sandy Hook. You may well never have enough opportunity to stock up. Start now.

Going to the polls since 2008 have given me NOTHING to vote for....only candidates and parties to vote against.

I see nothing changing in 2016, unless Ted Cruz is the nominee. I would be voting for him in that case.

I guess Hillary figures that since she can't control Bill's gun, she'll control ours.
