Feds Want Prison Time for Dinesh D’Souza

Even though conservative commentator and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza has admitted wrongdoing in a case where he violated campaign finance law, many of his supporters believe he’s being harshly prosecuted for political reasons.

Of course they do! One cannot tell the truth about the Tyrant and expect less. They have killed Law in America. When they receive their own lynchings, I hope that is their last regret.

That's right! The rule of law we depend on to protect us from abuses of government also protects them from us but should the rule of law become abused to the point of nonexistence they should not have cause to be surprised when they are falling, and coming suddenly to the end of the rope, the lights go out.

So let me get this right......

A guy ascends to the head of the so called "justice" dept. on the coattails of the most bigoted, corrupt, and leftist administration this nation has -ever- seen, proceeds to allow thousands of weapons across the border in an effort to resuscitate the expired assault weapons ban, ignores voter intimidation by people of his own race, and now were sending a guy who makes political docudramas and may have made a poor choice (or even a mistake) in some mala prohibita political finance law- and THATS the guy going to prison?

..........smh........

This is insanity.

Pales in comparison to the 350 million bloomberg just pledged to bend firearm laws in states he doesn't live in.

In a game of cards, Freedom plays the king, Justice (democrats) play the ace.

In my personal experience (having been treasurer of campaigns), campaign finance laws are a dodge to further entrench insiders and keep competition at bay, to keep the "little people" out.

As to law, it only applies to the peons. It was always so. I don't have much use for it.

“‘Law’ is the congealed shit left over after a bunch of career parasites are finished taking bribes; when they get around to the serious business of politics, which is simply forcing people to obey their whims.” ~ Goffrey Transom

His mistake is taking a deal.
Campaign finance laws ABRIDGE freedom of political speech.

He does a DISSERVICE to Liberty, to the Constitution, to RIGHTS by taking a deal. Taking a plea is giving CONSENT to be governed outside constitutional parameters.

While I agree, it's easy for us to Monday-morning quarterback his decisions. I don't know what kind of financial pressure he's under, or what kind of pressure has been brought to bear against D'Souza. Surely our DoJ wouldn't threaten him with something extrajudicial, right?

(Pause for laughter)

So yeah, I wish he'd fought harder, but they may have stacked the deck against him in ways he couldn't get out from under.

Roman historian Tacitus said "The more corrupt the state, the more numerous the laws."

The corollary to that is nowadays you cannot make it through the day without violating 'the law' a dozen times, no matter how carefully you try not to. So it is with Dinesh.

One cannot engage the political process (namely, campaign activity) without violating some obscure codicil. Whether you get nailed for being an activist depends on who's holding the hammer.

All the more reason to have that 2nd American revolution now, while we still have the means to accomplish what's necessary and proper.
