Dave Workman: "Mount Rainier shooting opens door for agenda pandering."
Well, of course. Why wouldn't it? This one comes fully equipped with a "stupid human tricks" story and a scary picture.
Nearly eight hours earlier, King County sheriff's deputies responded to shots fired at a party in Skyway, where an early-morning session of "show and tell" with guns among several armed partygoers devolved into a shootout, according to detectives. Four people were shot, and three people fled the scene. One of them was identified as Benjamin Colton Barnes, 24.
Expect more prohibitionist bleating about Saigas to go with it.

There is a growing love affair around here with Saiga shotguns. I preach to everyone that firing from the prone position in a firefight, with an extended magazine, will get you dead. And, you WILL be in a prone position if you have a lick of sense. The length of the barrel reduces some home defense applications also. Looks like it might be a lot of fun at the range. I would be more concerned about a Brady backlash if this unfortunate event took place next year, rather than an election year. My heart goes out to the family of the Ranger. A senseless murder.
First, I agree, the Saiga leaves a whole lot to be desired as a rational choice for shotguns. It's my opinion that the top choice, money no object, among the available shotguns is the Benelli M1 or its current iteration. Firing either 2 3/4 or 3 inch shells, changeable chokes (the 18" barreled version can be used to hunt winged game), and non-gas operated. It can put 72 .30 caliber projectiles in the air in about 1.5 seconds, no submachine gun can match that.
Choose wisely.
This guy is repeatedly described as a veteran. Well, yeah, but only because we've defined veteran down. He had a general discharge, which means he was a shitbag. Whose commanders wanted him out the fastest way possible.
Usually that's druggies, barracks thieves, anybody whose misconduct is not bad enough to be worth a long stint in Leavenworth, but who's not a productive member of the unit.
I'll bet there's some interesting stuff in his records. I'll further bet that the MSM displays no interest -- they've already picked their narrative and they only want supporting data for the preselected story.
And did you notice the report there were about 150 LEO types looking for one guy? If the LEOs have no civilian back-up should things go south, there will be a lot of burned out police cars in many areas and then it will really get bad.
